Hapori Tohu
An interview with LEGO Ideas Birds project creator Tom Poulsom has revealed the next LEGO Ideas set: 21301 Birds will feature a masterfully crafted Blue Jay, Hummingbird and Robin consisting of 580 pieces with a cost of USD 44.99, beginning January 2015. The interview also gives us a look at the finalized box art and product picture. The presentation is fantastic and the three birds should look great on your desk or elsewhere. A worthy addition to the LEGO Ideas series! View the full article 2 Quote News Forums Q&A

Meiko
I'm glad the final product isn't much different than the original fan submission. 1 Quote -- Meiko - @georgebarnick LUG Ambassador and administrator at Brickipedia News reporter and database administrator at Brickset Administrator at BIONICLEsector01 DISCLAIMER: All opinions and contributions made under this account are based solely on my own personal thoughts and opinions, and in no way represent any of the above groups/entities. believe victims
These are excellent likenesses of the birds they're based on and I'm glad to see most of their charm preserved in the final product. My only complain is that they're a little square in places, but I guess that's just LEGO. I'm a little disappointed that the Blue Jay doesn't have actual feet, but i guess that was a stability necessity.
xccj
Wow, those seem larger to me than how I pictured them from the original submitted models... guess I never quite recognized their size earlier. I hope the set doesn't sell out too quickly, because I am tempted to pick this one up, even if it is a little on the pricey side. (Still, looks to be worth it, both in piece count and final model design.) Mr. Cup of Fail
How it been like 2+ weeks sense they Announced this to become a set. I really like they are not that much different from the original ones. Ballom Nom Nom
These birds look fantastic! Overall I'm very pleased to see that this became a final Lego Ideas set, since it adds some well-needed variety to the Lego Ideas lineup. ~B~
Nidhiki of the Shadows
So cute! I love birds! I might actually pick this one up and build it with my mom. We're are huge bird lovers. -NotS
V-N
That is really an awesome and unique set. I almost regret that--I can hear my wallet moaning louder now. First BIONCILE comes back, now TLG starts doing this. But those would look so cool on display... 1 Quote "What we see depends mainly on what we look for" -John Lubbock
Toa Smoke Monster
I'm very happy that this became a set. Birds are some of my favorite animals and I really like that Lego versions of them like these will be sold in stores soon. The box they come in is a little bland IMO, but I still think this is a neat set. Quote Everyone is one choice away from being the bad guy in another person's story. Mr. Cup of Fail
I agree, the box is bland but in a good way to be honest and I do hope we see more bird sets like this later on without it being a idea project.I do hope to see other animals like fish, bear, and my new favorite animal Red Panda.
