Voxumo
So with the Battle for the Golden Mask competition happening, I felt it wouldn't hurt to attempt to enter. As such I present to you what I have been working on the majority of the month, Viporex. I personally am quite happy with what I achieved here, since currently it is probably the heaviest and 'longest' Moc I have built, along with one that I have put the most thought into. You may be asking why it took so long, or where the majority of the thought went into it. To be blunt it was because of the snake section of the body. I wanted to create a snake like moc that wasn't just a single string of limbs with armor on, and that could support itself without the need for outside support such as stands and whatnot. This resulted in much trial and error in achieving it. Though I definitly feel I achieved what I sought out to create since the snake section of the body has actual bulk to it, and that the whole moc is able to support itself. Though ultimately I had to create the split tail section to compensate for the weight of the main body. As it stands that split tail is completely supporting the weight of the moc. Without it there would be no hope for it. Something worth noting is that he stands taller than the Icarax set, and that he is not restricted to his upright pose, but can actually slither, once again without any support except from his 'tails'. Link to the actual gallery Also here is the short bio for him, for some add flare. Long before Makuta forged masks of power, he was rumored for forge life. While many of his creations did not see the light of day, one roamed the island of Okoto for sometime, the Viporex. With the ability to drain life energy from organisms through eye contact and grow stronger from it, the Viporex was meant to protect the people of Okoto from any harm, but what Makuta did not realize was that his envy of Ekimu and desire for the people's praise twisted the very soul of the Viporex. For sometime it served it's intended purpose which resulted in the people of Okoto showering Makuta with praise for his success, praise the Viporex felt was rightfully it's own. The Viporex turned on it's creator in his sleep, nearly killing him. But it was the quick intervention of Ekimu's hammer to the Viporex's skull that saved Makuta's life. Unable to destroy the Viporex completely, Ekimu locked it away, far beneath the island of Okoto where it would never see the light of day. And now it remains there, it's hatred for those it protected growing, waiting for the it's chance to be free and finish what it started. myst33ry
Wow. That's pretty good. I like the idea of a snake-like creature, and I love the white/red/black color scheme. I hope to see you in the finals!
