Wall Paintings, and the Agori Alphabet

Hello! Some of my ideas here are already being shared in this topic, but has not been updated because I am currently heavily revising it. Thank you for your time, and i hope you like what you see.

 

Tserkoura  v  Annona

I have been working on a Bionicle mod for Europa Universalis IV that takes place around 200 years after the Battle of Bara Magna, and this is to serve as one of many loading screens.

It is supposed to be a wall painting of the Golden-Skinned Skakdi Fusion (whom I have named here 'Tserkoura', or 'Surkoura' in Matoran) opposite of the dream eating monster Annona in a museum of history in New Atero, probably near the new Kini Nui. The Agori would call it the 'Temple of the Guardian', named as such as Mata Nui symbolically watches over the city; they do not worship their, as the Matoran do, they instead see it as a museum for Mata Nui and worship at the Chapel of Grunchar, their supreme diety-creator.

It says, in both Agori/Greek and Matoran/Maori:

I am currently making another piece of art similar to this, depicting the Battle of Bara Magna (I so far like this one more. ). I am almost done with it, but due to my infrequent internet connection for my laptop, I might not be able to upload it right away.

 

 

 

 

Agori Alphabet

I always wanted the Agori to have their own alphabet, but it seemed that Lego did not bother to do it before announcing their rescheduled cancellation for Bionicle. Now, since then, I have waited for others to make a written language, but it never happened, so I took it upon myself to do just that. A lot of the letters may look like another because they share a similar sound when spoken, and I took out the letters X and Q because those same sounds could be created with a combination of the given letters, and added the CH, ZH, and TH sounds because they are more unique. I expected the Agori and their heightful bretheren to have spoken Byzantine Greek, meaning Greek with a lot of Latin influence.

I like the look of the Agori alphabet. Nice idea, using the MNS artwork for that.

 

As for the Surkoura vs Annona, it looks pretty good, but my one complaint is this: It is way too dark. I had to turn my screen up to full brightness just to see what the top half of the image said. I would strongly suggest making the image just a little bit brighter, or at least making the contrast between the top and the bottom not so distinct. Beyond that, I love it!

A very good use of that MNS image! I've been hoping somebody would try one like that soon. Some of these seem a bit overcomplicated to me (namely the F and M, but not by much), but I like the style, and that most can be still easily recognized from their English counterparts.

 

If we want to use this in the future in art (with cred), would you be okay with that? I've been thinking of using mine as a later invention of the GBs, a preliminary version of the concepts used for Matoran, but that something like this would have been used before the rule of the GBs and still exist. I doubt I'll have space to actually include it anywhere in my retelling, but still could be cool to mention perhaps in the appendix as one possibility.

Yeah you and every Bionicle fan can use it non-commercially with my permission, and that you do!

After reading your post, I got the idea that Agori could be akin to Mandarin where there is a traditional text used for more official purposes and a simplified variant variant for everyday use; my alphabet could be the traditional version, and if you wanted to you could base a symplified version off of the above image. Anyways, glad you liked it.
