I'd rather hear him as Vakama than Onua.  Onua should be more gruff and...dwarven, so to speak.  Maybe even as far as John Rhys-Davies.

Music - Hans Zimmer and Murray Gold.

Fixed that for you ;)

Much as I love Hans, I'd prefer something a bit more LOST-esque for Bionicle.  Hans and Gold would likely give us a regular old action score.  It'd be a great score, but I don't think it'd fit Bionicle; nor would any of the other more unique sounds Hans has come up with, like Sherlock Holmes or Inception.  Bionicle needs mystery and shadows, with real heart and emotion at the core.  That's the kind of score Giacchino can pull off with ease.

Ummm...

How about:

Tahu: Harrison Ford

Gali: I actually don't know...

Pohatu: "The Rock" is actually a great match for him.

Kopaka: Liam Neeson (I personally think Mr. Neeson has a cold vocal quality)

Onua: Either John Rhys-Davies or Robbie Coltrane

Lewa: I might have to say Will Smith on this one. His voice may be deep, but I think personality-wise, I could see Smith doing Lewa some justice. The only other possibility I see is Cuba Gooding Jr.

Turaga Vakama: Morgan Freeman! HECK YES!!!

Turaga Nokama: Cate Blanchet is a good idea.

Turaga Onewa: Alec Baldwin perhaps?

The Makuta: Jack Nicholson or Denzel Washington. Either of those 2 guys would have a much better personality for the Makuta.

I don't really care much about the Matoran voices because I think the Mask of Light should start in the Middle of the Bohrok-Kal story-line and focus on the Toa more than the Matoran. Just my opinion.

:burnmad:

Kevin Grevioux as Makuta.

Music by Nathan Furst. Furst did a great job - far better than D'Andrea - and I feel Zimmer just isn't subtle enough to capture the Bionicle tone well enough.

I reiterate: Tim Curry as Makuta.

I totally agree about Zimmer, and I'd be more than happy with Furst again.  His scores would've been good for a theatrical film, let alone a straight-to-DVD toy-based movie.

Benedict Cumberbatch as Kopaka.

Lol. (Although that's another guy who would make a good Makuta IMO.)

Bring back Nathan Furst and Christopher Gaze. Heck, if it was a remake, we wouldn't really have to bring those two back. Just get the score & voice recording out of the back room, rewrite the script to include less cheese, update the animation to look 200% more awesome if that is even possible and put it in IMAX 3-D, and keep Morgan Freeman and Will Ferrell out of it.

I know he isn't in MoL, but if Vezon were ever to be in a movie he needs to be voiced by Mark Hamill.

I was thinking the exact same thing!

Ah, Hugo Weaver, my favorite Hugo Weaving substitute!  :P

I kid, but yeah, I could get behind those choices.

Directed by, produced by, written by and starring Tommy Wiseau as everyone.

Waltz would actually make a phenomenal Makuta, come to think of it...

And we might as well discuss the other films too.  I'll add that to the first post.

I don't necessarily think going with the biggest names will give the best result, especially when they're known for screen acting rather than voice acting.  If anything I'd go for more prolific voice actors to fill the roles.  Maybe Kevin Michael Richardson as Onua, Steve Blum as Pohatu, and Ron Perlman as Kopaka.

As for soundtrack, I defer to my usual response:

Daniel Craig would be AMAZING as Tahu!!! Judi Dench for Nokama is great as well! I could definitely see Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence being those characters, but I don't think Sam Jackson fits Kopaka. Also Ian McKellen...I approve.

Meryl Streep as everyone, including a cameo by Meryl Streep

Shot in stop-motion, spoken in memes, shown in five dimensions (3D + smell + you become Meryl Streep)

--------

I'd actually really like to see it remade though, especially in the animation style that's being used

What if the storyline for future sets is literally just the same? Like, next year is Bohrok, then the 'Masters' become 'Neo Masters', etc
