Masters of Spinjitsu don't Spinjitsu

Boidoh

Why is there a lack of spinning and whatnot in the Rebooted season? It's not even in the opening anymore. There is so much kicking, punching, fighting, but no spinning.. Why is this? Because no spinners were on sale?

Possibly. But there's also not been that much Spinjitsu in general, they seem to forget about it most of the time, like a lot of things in Ninjago.

There's this one part at the end of the season where it would be perfect for a Tornado of Creation and then they just don't.

If you're thinking about when they needed a spaceship, I thought the same thing.

What would happen if Lloyd joined in the Tornado of Creation also? Isn't his element Creation?

There has been less spinning in general since the sets stopped including spinners. But it hasn't gone away entirely—in fact, the fact that the Ninja couldn't use their Spinjitzu in zero gravity became an issue in the recent Ninjago episode "The Void".

Wait. I think the reason they couldn't make a Tornado of Creation is because Zane couldn't do Spinjitsu without PIXAL.

Couldn't they have just included PIXAL in the tornado?

She wasn't there on the comet, which is what I think Boidoh was referring to? Then again, there's the gravity thing to take into consideration...

Anyway, even without Zane, couldn't they have just used Lloyd? I'm not too sure about the mechanics of the tornado of Creation, since we haven't really seen it very much, but I assume any 4 ninja could do it.

The Tornado of Creation specifically requires four ninja of four different elements, I think. Lloyd's Green Power technically includes all four elements, but I'm not sure if that counts as far as the Tornado of Creation is concerned.

I certainly wasn't struck by any moments in the last season when using the Tornado of Creation seemed like a no-brainer. Perhaps they could have used it on the comet to assemble the spacecraft faster, but remember that the Ninja were figuring that out as they went along — the last time they used the Tornado of Creation to construct a high-tech vehicle (the Ultra Sonic Raider), they had time to draw up some schematics beforehand so that all four ninja had a clear idea of just what they would be constructing. And that was with a whole junkyard full of scrap to use, not a supply of rocket parts that was rapidly shrinking thanks to the extraterrestrial parasites.

I'm fairly sure the Tornado of Creation relies on a perfect elemental balance. Lloyd would've screwed that up since he has all four elements, rather than just Ice.

Pretty sure Boldoh was referring to the battle with the Overlord in the episode after that, actually... but I'm not sure how much the Tornado of Creation would've helped there.

Actually, that's what I was referring to. It could have made a mech or something to try to best the Overlord thing in power, although that does seem unlikely. But I'd think that they would at least try that instead of just giving up and leaving the whole thing to Zane. :shrugs:

They could not have made a mech, there is no big mech set.

Wait, what? Zane dies? I'm confused. Someone explain what happened  storywise during the Rebooted arc.

It's in the episode that showed on November 26, 2014 in the U.S.

Zane tried to control all the golden weapons at once, so his body is fried out and "dies". However, it's hinted that his conciousness was downloaded into the same computer that the Overlord was in, so his mind is still there inside that machine.

I don't think that's quite an accurate description...

Zane didn't try to control the golden weapons at all. What he DID do was grab onto the Golden Master's mecha armor (forged from the four golden weapons) which overloaded his power core and gave him the strength to make a suicidal attempt to freeze the Overlord.

In any case, yes, his voice plays from the computer in Borg Tower afterward, implying that even if his body didn't survive his soul remained in the system.

I'm guessing Zane used the factory inside Borg Tower to build himself a shiny new titanium body and then surprised all the other ninja saying "I HAVE RETURNED!!!", freaking all the ninja out.

If that actually happens I'm going to laugh.:P

Ninjago: Master of Not Doing Spinjitsu

Okay anyway, sense Lego stop selling the Spinners, there was no longer any Spinjitsu at all anywhere in the season. Plus, just putting this out there, they could had just still sell the Spinners but just in the bigger sets.

Guessing we will never get any Spinjitsu anymore in the future...       unless like, I don't know 10 or so years later, they made a new reboot gen2 of Ninjago and the Spinners only came in the big sets and we get Spinjitsu back in the TV show.

What?! they still do Spinjitzu. What makes you think they haven't done it since they stopped selling spinners?

Spinjitsu made sense and sounds kinda cool... What in the world is "Airjitsu"? How about we make Waterjitsu while we're at it? What will Airjitsu make them do? Fly?

Can't wait for the legends of the First Airjitsu Master and the evil Underlord.

The reason the episode and possibly Zane is call the titanium Ninja is due to a large Statue made in his honor. Or that is how I understood it. Are they releasing a titanium Ninja Zane in a set? I haven't really followed the sets as much as I wanted. The shows however I believe I have seen every episode released here in America to date. I could be wrong however...

This isn't really on-topic... but yes, we're getting a Titanium Zane in the appropriately-named Titanium Dragon set (with Silver Metallic robes and a mechanical face with heads up display). And the summer sets seem to have him rejoining the main team of Ninja—his face is still mechanical, unlike his classic appearance, but he's once again outfitted in a similar uniform to the other four main Ninja.
