Also, having water on the planet isn't really evidence that it's the same planet. That water was a small ocean around the southern pole, nothing like Earth's shape. And the GBs aren't humans. But if you wanna headcanon away all that for fanfic purposes or whatnot, you can. Just, for the canon, no, not the case. (But common question.) And... I guess... that answers the question.
