Hapori Tohu
A new LEGO magazine by AFOLs for AFOLs (Adult Fans of LEGO) has recently been published in Europe and is making appearances in the United States too. Called Blocks, it showcases many features by knowledgeable fans on all aspects of the hobby, from LEGO news to fan interviews and building tips, and looks comprehensive enough to be an adequate companion to BrickJournal. I found a copy at a Barnes and Noble, but issues and subscriptions can be found on their website (including European vendor locations), and at newsstand retailers. The cost is 6 GBP in England and $17 in the States. It will be interesting to see this become a hit among fans. Toa Smoke Monster
This looks like a good replacement for those who are too old for the Lego Magazine. Seriously though, this looks like it could make for an interesting read for any Lego fan. I'll check out an issue if I ever see one in stores sometime. Jobber
Eh...Sounds really interesting. Not gonna get it though, 'cause I rarely go to book stores (I go maybe once a year to my local Barnes & Nobile to pick up a volume of comics or something), and I haven't bought a magazine subscription since my Shonen Jump days. Aanchir
Blocks Magazine is an awesome publication which is off to a great start. The journalistic and editorial quality is up there with BrickJournal, a much older US-based LEGO fan magazine. It's great that it's available at Barnes and Noble, too! That makes it a lot more accessible for people in the United States than if it were subscription-only. Haven't yet gotten any issues for myself, because I mostly buy LEGO fan magazines with articles about my own particular favorite themes, and those don't always overlap with the sets and MOCs that AFOLs like to write about. The editor-in-chief, Mark Guest, is a very nice guy who has managed to put together a very capable team. I was actually asked to write a BIONICLE article for Blocks which should be published in an issue early next year. 3 Quote Latest MOC: PAIGE (Prototype Artificial Intelligence, Gynoid Expression)
