Hapori Tohu
This Friday, December 26th, starting at about noon Eastern Time, we'll be kicking off a live-streamed build and review of 70810 MetalBeard's Sea Cow from the LEGO Movie line of sets. You'll be able to watch on BZPower's YouTube channel. I have no idea how long it's going to take, but the plan is to keep going until it's done. We'll be interacting with watchers in the comments and may even give away a couple prizes. Make sure you tune in! Toa Smoke Monster
I don't go in for work until later that day, so I might be able to watch part of this. Lyichir
I might miss this because I'll be travelling out of town on Friday. But this is a fantastic idea for a livestream, and an excellent choice of set that'll provide hours of entertainment.Which staff members will be building the set, out of curiosity? And will other staff be participating in the stream to provide commentary? Meiko
Will you do like BrickNerd does and allow some people to join in the hangout during parts of the live build, or will you just have it over YouTube? Black Six
Which staff members will be building the set, out of curiosity? Will you do like BrickNerd does and allow some people to join in the hangout during parts of the live build, or will you just have it over YouTube?I haven't figured out the technical setup to make that possible yet, so for now it will just be a solo affair. fishers64
You all really need to do this sort of thing at an event like Brickfair. That way multiple people can get in on the build and the online viewing. As for this one, I'm not sure yet. I have a lot of stuff that I should be doing instead, but I may lend an ear. I want to see the double-decker couch live. Quote Hero Factory RPG | Bionicle Mafia XXIX: Storyline & Theories

That way multiple people can get in on the build and the online viewing. There's a few issues with doing something like this. The first being mobile bandwidth, which isn't as inexpensive as home Internet. The second being time, since events like BrickFair are usually crazy and filled to the brim. The third would probably be location, we would need to find a place with appropriate lighting and enough room to set up in. All that said a livestream at an event is something I would love to set up, and I'm hoping we'll get to the point where we can do that. 2 Quote Bio of a BZP Admin

That way you can more easily control who takes part, such as having an RSVP ahead of time, and you'd have more space because of less people crowding the tables with MOCs. It by no means needs to be a great filming set up because nobody expects us to be producing something of professional quality from BrickFair, but as long as you find a clean table, decent lighting, and some room to pull up some chairs, I feel like a hotel room would work. 1 Quote -- Meiko - @georgebarnick LUG Ambassador and administrator at Brickipedia News reporter and database administrator at Brickset Administrator at BIONICLEsector01 DISCLAIMER: All opinions and contributions made under this account are based solely on my own personal thoughts and opinions, and in no way represent any of the above groups/entities. Like BrickFair activities ever actually end. Also, I appreciate the thought that we keep our hotel rooms tidy enough to do a livestream in. We'll see though...
