Hapori Tohu
Creating a LEGO thing out of something other than LEGO is sure to attract attention for its creativity. This time, wood turner Simon Begg has carved a large-scale LEGO minifig out of wood, specifically Huon pine, Australian red cedar and American walnut. Pictures and a video can be found on Instructables, where he goes into detail about crafting such an iconic object. The various types of wood do well to show off different parts of the figure, allowing for a good contrast when admiring the artwork. What a great idea for a project. Toa Smoke Monster
Those wooden figures look exactly like a real minifig, except they are a lot bigger. If I didn't know better, I would've thought that Lego itself made these as official sets! Quote Everyone is one choice away from being the bad guy in another person's story. hachiroku
Holy cow that is truly amazing and the guy got great skills. I can hardly imagine making those for 60-70 hours. It is definitely a work of art.
Ballom Nom Nom
Wow, that's quite the impressive project. It's really cool how it has all the articulation of a minifig. ~B~
