Although his assassination ended up in cheers from the population , the communist party ruled the country until 1996 due to vote frauds .After 1996 the old communist president Ion Iliescu joined the socialist movement after the Iron Curtain's collapse and won the elections for a second time after that three National-Democrats won the elections , as follows Emil Constantinescu (2000-2004) Traian Basescu ( 2004-2014 , changes in constitution state that the presidents has a 5 year mandate ) and Klaus Iohannis (2014-) THANK YOU ALL FOR READING THIS Edited December 28, 2014 by PaleoTiatan 3 If anyone wants to learn how to speak Romanian contact me via private message .
