The Legend:

 

A long time ago in the on the mythical island of Okoto, all lived in harmony. It was a place of wonders and beautiful landscapes.

 

From the island's elemental forces, two brothers, known as the Mask makers, created masks of Power.

 

Each brother had a special mask. Makuta owned the Mask of Control, and Ekimu the Mask of Creation. 

 

The brothers provided the islanders with many masks, but Ekimu's were the most treasured. 

 

His brother became envious and forged an evil plan. 

 

It was a sacred law that a mask could never contain the power of more than one element. Otherwise it would become too strong, and dangerous. 

 

But Makuta wanted to create the strongest mask of all time. 

 

The Mask of Ultimate Power. 

 

When Makuta put it on, it took control over him, and the island began to shake and crumble. 

 

Realizing what his brother had done, Ekimu managed to knock the mask from Makuta's face.

 

A shockwave rolled across the land, and sent both brothers into an endless sleep. 

 

The masks were scattered all over the island, waiting for a time when someone would come looking for them.

01 The Prophecy of Heroes: 

 

NARRATOR: On the mythical island of Okoto, ancient masks of power were hidden away, for only the strongest to find and claim. 

 

But an enemy was rising, growing stronger by the minute, searching for the masks. 

 

Desperately, the Protectors gathered in the most sacred place, the Temple of Time. Reciting what was known as the Prophecy of Heroes, they sent their prayers to the sky.  

 

The prophecy was whispered the Protectors a long time ago when they found the lifeless body of Ekimu, the mask maker, and laid him to rest. 

 

PROTECTOR OF FIRE: Hear now, O my son, what the prophecy says:

 

When times are dark and all hope seems lost, the Protectors must unite, one from each tribe, invoke the power of past and future, and look to the skies for an answer. 

 

When the stars align, six comets will bring timeless heroes to claim the Masks of Power and find the Mask Maker.

 

United, the six elements hold the power to defeat evil. United, but not one. 

 

NARRATOR: It was the power of this prophecy that made six elemental heroes to rain down upon Okoto. Who they really were remained a mystery. But it was their destiny to defeat evil and save the island.

02 The Arrival: 

 

NARRATOR: A bright light fell from the sky above the island of Okoto, crashing into the ground like a burning rock.

 

The wise Protector led the local villagers to a crater of fire. They held their breath as a figure stepped out of the flames.

 

TAHU: O where am I? Who am I?

 

PROTECTOR OF FIRE: You are Tahu, the Master of Fire. You have been sent to us. 

 

TAHU: What are you talking about? Why would I be sent here?

 

PROTECTOR: An evil is rising. And you are here to defeat it.

 

NARRATOR: Tahu looked around the villagers. His head held many questions, but no memory of who he was or what he was capable of. 

 

TAHU: Me? What do I know about defeating evil?

 

PROTECTOR: It has been foretold that one day six heroes, the Toa, would arrive and go on a quest for golden masks to unlock each of their great powers. 

 

TAHU: How do you know-

 

[VILLAGERS behind THE PROTECTOR OF FIRE reel in fear.]

 

TAHU: Was it something I said?

 

PROTECTOR: No, it's those Skull Spiders behind you!

 

[sKULL SPIDERS attack TAHU. TAHU successfully fends them off.]

 

[upon seeing this, the VILLAGERS gasp and bow before TAHU.]

 

TAHU: Umm...mmm...ohh. 

 

PROTECTOR: Do you still doubt your destiny, Tahu? Come with me, we have no time to waste!

03 Quest for the Golden Masks: 

 

NARRATOR: Legend told that one day, six heroes would make it through the dangerous parts of the island, and claim the masks to unlock their true powers. 

 

Lewa, Toa of Jungle, was cutting through thick woodlands. 

 

The sun burned Pohatu, Toa of Stone, as he fought his way across desert dunes. 

 

Kopaka, Toa of Ice, was striding through raging blizzards. 

 

KOPAKA: Oof. 

 

I didn't slip.

 

NARRATOR: The river was a fast way for Gali, Toa of Water, while Onua, Toa of Earth, was clawing his way through solid rock. 

 

PROTECTOR OF FIRE: Tahu, Toa of Fire, this is Okoto's greatest volcano. You are close now. 

 

But reaching your goal does not mean the end of danger. Far from it.

 

Know this, Tahu - the shadows of the shrines hold stronger enemies than you could ever imagine. Be brave. Be strong. Believe in your destiny.

04: The Protectors Fight Back
 
NARRATOR: They traveled for weeks through dangerous lands. Now the six heroes and their Protectors, could finally see their goals. 
 
Six secret shrines. Six golden masks waiting to be found. 
 
PROTECTOR OF FIRE: No time to waste, Tahu. I feel we are not alone.
 
[sKULL SPIDERS crawl over the ledge leading to the shrine.]
 
NARRATOR: Tahu had no idea what heroes normally did when facing a threat like this, but it made good sense to simply...RUN!
 
[PROTECTOR OF FIRE and TAHU run inside the shrine. Once inside, the PROTECTOR blasts a bunch of SKULL SPIDERS using his gun.]
 
PROTECTOR: The shrine's inside! Hurry!
 
[THE PROTECTOR points at the Golden Mask in the middle of the Lava.]
 
There it is! 
 
PROTECTOR: We don't have much time, Tahu! Get the mask! 
 
PROTECTOR: I'll keep them away. [THE PROTECTOR turns and shoots the incoming Skull Spiders.]
 
[Meanwhile, TAHU pauses and leaps on his lava surfboard, heading for the Golden Mask.]
 
TAHU: AHHH. I. CAN. FEEL. THE. POWER!
 
[THE PROTECTOR OF FIRE runs out of ammunition.]
 
[TAHU reaches the Golden Mask.]

05 The Power of the Golden Masks

NARRATOR: The six heroes had all reached their shrines. Pohatu, Kopaka, Lewa, Gali, Onua, and Tahu. 
 
The protectors had guided them wisely, but time was running out. Skull Spiders launched their attacks and the Protectors would not stand a chance againest them. 
 
PROTECTOR OF FIRE: Fulfill the prophecy, the time has come. 
 
NARRATOR: Elemental Power filled Tahu's body completely. 
 
PROTECTOR: Run Tahu, it's too late for me. 
 
TAHU: No, it is not too late. For I am the Master of Fire!!!RAH!!
 
NARRATOR: The golden masks gave them elemental strength to defeat the Skull Spiders. Their amazing powers had been unlocked.

06 Quest for the Mask Maker
 
NARRATOR: The heroes had proven themselves worthy and were now filled with the power of their elements: 
 
Ice, Water, Jungle, Earth, Stone, and Fire. 
 
TAHU: I feel amazing powers. I can even hear sounds from far away. 
 
PROTECTOR OF FIRE: No, you fool, it's from inside your mask. The voice of Ekimu, the Mask Maker. He is calling you.
 
TAHU: Why, I thought the job was finished. 
 
PROTECTOR: You have only taken your first step. The true quest is ahead of you and where you are going I cannot follow.
 
TAHU: Wait. There is more than a voice. I am seeing something. 
 
NARRATOR: A magnificent city, but in ruins. Something terrible had happened there once, and something even more terrible was waiting.
 
TAHU: Am I going to find the Mask Maker alone?
 
PROTECTOR: No one can handle this quest alone. There are six elements mastered by six heroes. Let the mask guide you. Hurry! Evil is growing stronger!

07 Team of Heroes

 

NARRATOR: Near the heart of Okoto lay the ancient city of the mask makers. Who knew what secret dangers waited inside.

 

The heroes had arrived. Destined to go on the same quest, they saw each other for the first time.

 

TAHU: Greetings. I am Tahu, the Master of Fire. The prophecy has brought us together under my command.

 

KOPAKA: Your command? Did your brain catch fire? I am Kopaka, and I work under no command.

 

[TAHU and KOPAKA run at each other and start punching and kicking.]

 

GALI: Stop it you idiots!

 

[GALI stabs her battle ax into the melee. Meanwhile ONUA picks up TAHU and KOPAKA and holds them by the back of their heads.]

 

ONUA: Ha Ha Ha. Don't fight. 

 

TAHU: We still need a leader. 

 

GALI: We'll have a vote then. [stabs weapon into ground for emphasis]

 

LEWA: I vote for Onua. He knows how to -grab- attention. Hm hm hmm hm.

 

POHATU: Quiet. We've got company.

 

KOPAKA & TAHU: Huh. 

 

[THE LORD OF SKULL SPIDERS folds his legs over the bridge leading to the heroes' position.]

I'd thought I'd throw these up here for those of us who may prefer reading to watching animations - having it out in text form can aid analysis by giving a visual of what was previously only sound.

In the third animation it's "Kopaka was striding through raging blizzards (grunt) but didn't slip."

 

And Tahu's first line is more of an "Uh..." than an "Oh"

I just listened to it...I think it could easily be either "I didn't slip" OR "but didn't slip". The two carry very different connotations though...In the "But" option, it implies Kopaka was breaking the fourth wall, something I'm wary of if it is true...

I'm not sure where you all are getting the idea from. I don't recall a "but" in the middle of the whole thing, and the "I didn't slip." is quite firmly in Kopaka's voice.

I re-watched the episode. I tried to hear the "but", but even trying to force myself to hear, I still don't. It is OBVIOUSLY "I didn't slip."

Much thanks, fishers! I was going to do this myself for a "findings" topic (just made that here and quoted your transcripts), but wouldn't have had time this year.

 

It wasn't kopaka saying "I didn't slip" in episode 3. He does say that in his character video, but in episode 3 it's the narrator saying how "Kopaka fought his way through raging blizzards, but didn't slip." Don't confuse the two videos.

Just re-watched episode three. He clearly says "I didn't slip." I think you're getting confused because of the accent. It sounds more like "Uh didn't slip." But "Uh" is this voice's pronunciation of "I." And the character video has no reference at all to slipping. The scene isn't shown in that one. Methinks ye be confyoozled.

Worth noting that apparently the narrator used the Onua voice for Kopaka in this one. The Kopaka "I" in the character video sounds more normal, and the voice sounds more like the normal narrator, but in Ep3 it's more like the "Uh" of Onua's character video (although the "I" there isn't as "uh" like as the "ah" sounds elsewhere in the Onua vid). Regardless, the Ep3 line in question clearly uses a deeper tone of voice to distinguish from the narrator's lines earlier.

 

There's also some metallic clanking noises at the same time that you could mistake for consonants in the Ep3 scene.

I'm quite confused. The "I didn't slip." line isn't in any of the character videos, including Kopaka's. I just watched all of them. I also checked the Episode 3 voice of Kopaka versus Onua and Kopaka's character video voice - the Ep 3 voice matches Kopaka's exactly, while Onua's is deeper IMO. 

 

Could be just my ears, although I'm watching this on Lego's YouTube channel in full HD, so I really doubt this.

Oh, so close. There is no reason to switch to Kopaka talking. However, there is a reason to comment on him not slipping. You mentioned it yourself; humour. The sound effect of Kopaka grunting does not prove that the next line is Kopaka speaking. It isn't definitive either way, but it certainly makes more sense to joke about an awesome hero of ice slipping on ice than for the character himself to say "I didn't slip" in what is essentially a cameo.

 

- None of the other Masters speak, so why would Kopaka?

 

- Why would we switch to Kopaka speaking when the narrator could do the same thing?

 

- Since this narrator voices everyone, including Gali, are we sure that his 'Kopaka' voice isn't just similar enough to his 'narrator' voice that your ears are fooled?

 

- Saying the word "but", only the 'uh' sound in the middle is voiced. If you hear an 'uh' sound instead of an 'eye', surely he is more likely saying 'but' than 'I'?

 

- Also, listen to the narrator's pronounciation of 'I' elsewhere. Does it sound like an 'uh' anywhere else?

 

To take a different tack to prove the unreliability of the transcriber's ears:

 

- Who says "O" instead of "Uh" when unsure? Please, raise your hands. It makes more sense for Tahu to say "Uh, where am I?" rather than "O, where am I?", doesn't it?

The phrase "but didn't slip" makes no sense whatsoever, though. "Kopaka, Toa of Ice, was striding through raging blizzards" is a pretty simple sentence and it in no way implies any slipping took place. "But" would only make sense if it was contradicting something previously stated. If it was "he was striding through the blizzards and didn't slip," eh, that would be logical (if still something of a non-sequitur), but "but" doesn't work.

 

I'm not really sure why you're so adamant about this being the case. It's entirely counterintuitive and requires jumping through a couple of hoops to reach to the conclusion you want. The narrator says "but" several times throughout the videos, but it never sounds anything like the I in that line. Moreover, the voice he uses for Kopaka is very distinct from his usual voice, actually. He says that line in a completely different way than the one he just before it, and it is especially obvious because the two lines are right after each other and are pretty different. I don't think anyone is getting them mixed up.

 

(Also, the narrator's pronunciation of I never sounds like anything because the narrator never says I, only the characters do.)

 

Also, while I somewhat agree about the Tahu line, that's a completely different subject (and honestly doesn't really matter much either way). What you're suggesting (which is also something I've never seen anyone else think) isn't as simple as mistaking one brief expression of uncertainty for another, it's mistaking a voice and specific word for an entirely different word and voice, which would change the meaning (and speaker) of the line completely. And it's, well, kinda baffling honestly. It's definitely not a matter of fishers being reliable or not, since it's not only her that thinks that was Kopaka.

'Cuz the animators felt like it.

 

And everybody knows Kopaka is the coolest Toa of all, so...

 

But why do you say it makes no sense? The character is shown slipping. For the narrator to then lie and say he didn't slip makes no sense -- the narrator has no motive to do that. The character does. He's too proud to admit what just happened, and it provides humor value. It makes perfect sense.

 

And the others don't get a line, but Onua gets some grunt noises too (as does Kopaka just before this line, in the same voice as the line, not the narrator's voice). Lewa gets a swipe sound from his weapon; the characters aren't muted. There was just no reason to include a line for the others as there was for Kopaka.

 

And your description of the Tahu scene seems a bit off -- Tahu doesn't speak, no, but the Protector of Fire does, so the scene actually helps the case that characters shown in this sequence are allowed to speak versus the narrator. Tahu doesn't because the Protector is speaking, and telling him "look at that volcano." So Tahu is observing in the scene; he had no reason to speak. If he had, it wouldn't have added thing. It's not an appropriate place for a joke, so if he said anything it would just ruin the ominous tone with something like "Wow, that's a big volcano" or something.

I know it isn't; I said that earlier in that post. I meant the word "I" is in them. And the "ah" sound in all of Kopaka's video sounds like "ah". So that could hurt the "Uh = I (ah-ee)" idea in Ep3. However, in Onua's video, while the opening "I" still has the "ah" sound, other cases where normally the voice actor would say "ah" are "uh". So it seems he's basically a bit inconsistent in how he applies these accents.

 

I just watched all of them. I also checked the Episode 3 voice of Kopaka versus Onua and Kopaka's character video voice - the Ep 3 voice matches Kopaka's exactly, while Onua's is deeper IMO.

So you're saying there's a reason to have the line -- you accept that humor can be in here, but for some reason only the narrator can pull a joke? But the narrator's tone is dramatic, serious. He's not making fun of the characters. I think it makes way more sense for the character to be seriously saying to the Protector of Ice, "Look, when you tell the tale of this journey, leave out the slipping, yeah?"

 

I'm seeing one bit of evidence for your interpretation -- Kopaka's eyes don't light up as he says it, like they do for the Protector of Fire and other scenes. But they also don't light up for the grunts which are clearly meant to be him, not the narrator (lol), nor Onua's for his grunts. And Kopaka's head bobs and he moves exactly as you'd expect if he said it. They could apply the eye flashing inconsistently too.

We haven't switched to Kopaka. We stayed with Kopaka after his grunting was switching to him. Then we switch back to the narrator. And we do this twice more, with Onua's grunt, and the Protector of Fire's line. But we would switch to Kopaka because the animators wanted to.

 

And the narrator saying it isn't the same thing. If Kopaka says it, it's proud denial that's funny because we just saw it's not true (and looked silly). If the narrator says it, it seems less like a joke and more of a half-joke, half confusing metaphor for "didn't lose his resolve" or "didn't fail to reach his goal". It can't be proud denial in that case.

No, which is why I covered that in my previous post. You did read it, yeah? See elaboration in this post though if you didn't get it. He DOES use the "uh" sound for "ah" in Onua's vid. Again, I think you're confusing the sound effects around the "uh" sound for consonants. I just watched the scene over and over (hey it doesn't matter but ya got me curious ), and those are clearly air whooshing sounds because Kopaka was suddenly straightening up after crouching to correct the slip. Not consonants. There are no consonants there at all.

 

Also, if you turn the volume way up, the "uh" is actually a bit in between "uh" and "ah". I'm now thinking it sounds even more "uh"-ish because of the interference from the "whuh" whoosh sound effect.

 

I still won't call this proven, no, but you were acting like it was proven it was the narrator earlier; that's not clear either. I'd say either is possible, but most people are intuitively taking it as Kopaka, and the intuition is generally right. So if we're all misunderstanding, it's probably the animators' lack of clarity to blame... and we'd need them to clear it up.

 

 

 

I agree those "O"s are probably actually "Uh"s. But this doesn't mean "uh/ah didn't slip" is spoken by a narrator. BOTH transcriber and animators are fallible.

 

 

Edit: And I just watched through other vids... everytime "but" is used, the B is clear, and the T seems emphasized too. So I'd have to believe, under your interpretation, that the narrator was being inconsistent anyways. If you concede he can be inconsistent on this, cannot he be inconsistent on how Kopaka pronounces "I"?

 

Also, when Tahu first speaks, his eyes don't flash either. They do have a glowy effect, that Kopaka doesn't in this scene, but the eyes flashing only starts halfway through the PoF's speech in reply to Tahu's first line. So, that isn't used consistently either. Basically, I think the animators didn't imagine anybody would want to pay such close attention to those gimmicks, so they didn't worry about them being constant. So... this one is probably irrelevant.

 

Edit2: Also, to add to this:

The wording also seems oddly out of context because blizzards don't normally make you slip -- they bury you, freeze you, or at least make you have to trudge with effort through piled-up snow. The narrator doesn't seem to care that he's on ice. To then say "but didn't slip" is weird. But the character is obviously well aware he's walking over an icy bridge against strong winds (painfully aware), so it makes sense for him to talk about slipping.

 

To be fair, to say "Kopaka, Toa of Ice, was walking on an icy bridge" is redundant with Ice and sounds less dramatic. But the narrator could have said something like, "Kopaka, Toa of Ice, traversed treacherous heights through a frozen landscape... but didn't slip."

 

Also, why not "but HE didn't slip?" That could go either way (since it connects to Kopaka as the subject of the first phrase), but if it's "I didn't slip", we definitely wouldn't expect an extra syllable/word.

 

So, the "but" interpretation requires that we understand two odd things about the narrator -- that he's speaking metaphorically (rather than just lying), which he doesn't really have poetic cause to do here; it would look more like a joke that confuses (when for Kopaka to say it isn't confusing at all; it fits his character) -- and we must interpret the narrator as contrasting "but didn't slip" with visual knowledge the viewer is seeing in the animation, not with what the narrator had just said. Weird. Possible, but weird.

I thought the actual audio track said "O". Now that doesn't mean that it makes sense for it to be there. If the actual audio track says "O", and I choose to place "Uh" there because it makes more sense to me, my transcript is LESS accurate, not more, and I'm doing my audience a disservice.

 

There's a phenomenon in the percussion-music world called "thought-ear" - if you play a marimba with a certain combination of instruments for awhile, and stop playing the marimba while continuing to play the other instruments, your mind will still hear the marimba sound even though it isn't being played for awhile, because you expect it to be there. Now it is entirely possible that I was suffering from this phenomenon when doing these. 

 

But it isn't equally likely that you could be suffering from it? Your interpretation of "what makes sense" could affect what your ears hear. Now I've never heard of that happening before with spoken speech, so I think it is very very unlikely, but what you're raising is interpretive arguments and logic. The issue here is not what makes sense as much as what the actual audio track says. If the animation audio track doesn't make sense, then it's technically not my fault.

 

With that said, I thought the sound you all are saying was "Uh" or "Ah" was "I" - there's plenty of samples of the narrator saying "I", since he says that at the beginning of every character video. That might be my own thought-ear. And granted, it took me a few re-watchings of the character videos and the episodes for me to distinguish the voices (that's definitely a memory wash - the fact that I knew that the same person was voicing them all informed how I perceived the character voices) but wouldn't that influence me to think that more things were being voiced by the narrator, not less?

 

I don't think this has anything to do with my ears as much as what's between them.

(In the narrator's Kopaka voice, of course.) How can you confuse "I" for "but"? Which makes more sense? Obviously Kopaka saying "I didn't slip", rather than the narrator saying "but didn't slip".

Well, considering in another topic we are arguing about whether a certain Rahi should be called a Mata Nui Cow or a Mukau...*shakes head* I don't think you have a leg to stand on here.

 

In any case, I think it may be important to clear up this misconception up-front; whether Kopaka is established as an arrogant type could prove important later. And if it's funny, might as well laugh and put a few more years on your lifespan. That's the cool thing about BZPower - you can laugh whenever you want to, and the other people in the conversation won't stare at you and give you weird looks.

You're not stupid, Regitnui. Suffering from "thought-ear", as I put it, doesn't mean that you're stupid - I've witnessed the illusion myself on my own ears, and others, and I think those people were pretty smart.

 

And what you wrote was a legit criticism. I encourage people to make those. While I may happen to be right here, don't take it as a slight against your intelligence or an insult - none was intended.

NARRATOR: They traveled for weeks through dangerous lands. Now the six heroes and their Protectors, could finally see their goals. 

 

Six secret shrines. Six golden masks waiting to be found. 

 

PROTECTOR OF FIRE: No time to waste, Tahu. I feel we are not alone.

 

[sKULL SPIDERS crawl over the ledge leading to the shrine.]

 

NARRATOR: Tahu had no idea what heroes normally did when facing a threat like this, but it made good sense to simply...RUN!

 

[PROTECTOR OF FIRE and TAHU run inside the shrine. Once inside, the PROTECTOR blasts a bunch of SKULL SPIDERS using his gun.]

 

PROTECTOR: The shrine's inside! Hurry!

 

[THE PROTECTOR points at the Golden Mask in the middle of the Lava.]

 

There it is! 

 

PROTECTOR: We don't have much time, Tahu! Get the mask! 

 

PROTECTOR: I'll keep them away. [THE PROTECTOR turns and shoots the incoming Skull Spiders.]

 

[Meanwhile, TAHU pauses and leaps on his lava surfboard, heading for the Golden Mask.]

 

TAHU: AHHH. I. CAN. FEEL. THE. POWER!

 

[THE PROTECTOR OF FIRE runs out of ammunition.]

 

[TAHU reaches the Golden Mask.]

NARRATOR: The six heroes had all reached their shrines. Pohatu, Kopaka, Lewa, Gali, Onua, and Tahu. 

 

The protectors had guided them wisely, but time was running out. Skull Spiders launched their attacks and the Protectors would not stand a chance againest them. 

 

PROTECTOR OF FIRE: Fulfill the prophecy, the time has come. 

 

NARRATOR: Elemental Power filled Tahu's body completely. 

 

PROTECTOR: Run Tahu, it's too late for me. 

 

TAHU: No, it is not too late. For I am the Master of Fire!!!RAH!!

 

NARRATOR: The golden masks gave them elemental strength to defeat the Skull Spiders. Their amazing powers had been unlocked.

06 Quest for the Mask Maker

 

NARRATOR: The heroes had proven themselves worthy and were now filled with the power of their elements: 

 

Ice, Water, Jungle, Earth, Stone, and Fire. 

 

TAHU: I feel amazing powers. I can even hear sounds from far away. 

 

PROTECTOR OF FIRE: No, you fool, it's from inside your mask. The voice of Ekimu, the Mask Maker. He is calling you.

 

TAHU: Why, I thought the job was finished. 

 

PROTECTOR: You have only taken your first step. The true quest is ahead of you and where you are going I cannot follow.

 

TAHU: Wait. There is more than a voice. I am seeing something. 

 

NARRATOR: A magnificent city, but in ruins. Something terrible had happened there once, and something even more terrible was waiting.

 

TAHU: Am I going to find the Mask Maker alone?

 

PROTECTOR: No one can handle this quest alone. There are six elements mastered by six heroes. Let the mask guide you. Hurry! Evil is growing stronger!

07 Team of Heroes

 

NARRATOR: Near the heart of Okoto lay the ancient city of the mask makers. Who knew what secret dangers waited inside.

 

The heroes had arrived. Destined to go on the same quest, they saw each other for the first time.

 

TAHU: Greetings. I am Tahu, the Master of Fire. The prophecy has brought us together under my command.

 

KOPAKA: Your command? Did your brain catch fire? I am Kopaka, and I work under no command.

 

[TAHU and KOPAKA run at each other and start punching and kicking.]

 

GALI: Stop it you idiots!

 

[GALI stabs her battle ax into the melee. Meanwhile ONUA picks up TAHU and KOPAKA and holds them by the back of their heads.]

 

ONUA: Ha Ha Ha. Don't fight. 

 

TAHU: We still need a leader. 

 

GALI: We'll have a vote then. [stabs weapon into ground for emphasis]

 

LEWA: I vote for Onua. He knows how to -grab- attention. Hm hm hmm hm.

 

POHATU: Quiet. We've got company.

 

KOPAKA & TAHU: Huh. 

 

[THE LORD OF SKULL SPIDERS folds his legs over the bridge leading to the heroes' position.]
