Nescent
Click for high res Video! Instructions! The new launchers that come with the Protectors are, without a doubt, the most versatile launchers that we've ever seen in Bionicle. There is almost no limit to the amount of creative things that can be made with them! Here you have an 18-barrel, fully functional weapon, capable of firing off every bullet within a second. I tried to make it as compact and simple as possible, using only commonplace pieces. Edited January 16, 2015 by Nescent
Chro
Yes! Someone actually did this!Hm... I would request a video of it firing, but I know from experience that the studs typically fly too fast to see consistently. Munty
That's very cool! Do you have 18 studs of the same colour somewhere? Would be nice to see how it looks in a uniform colour. Good job though, looks pretty menacing! Can you show us what it looks like in a Toa's hands? I reckon that protector would find it getting heavy pretty quick Quote Check out my Bionicle store on Bricklink here!> > > Bionic Bricks < < < Let me know if you can help me find these last few collectibles! Also looking for WILD KRAATA and a VMKK Yo!!! Plus I doubt a video could convey how satisfying it is to unload all 18 studs with a single twist That's very cool! Do you have 18 studs of the same colour somewhere? I reckon that protector would find it getting heavy pretty quick I do not have 18 studs of the same color, just what I got from the Protectors. At most I could give two of the launchers the same color, but that wouldn't look so good. I'll take a photo of a Toa wielding it once the weather clears up, since it's really dark right now. Nescent
How do you fire/build it? I haven't made building instructions, but to fire it you twist the black gear on the handle (with yellow parts around it).
Mr. Cup of Fail
That looks really good, would be great to see it on a Toa size MOC, also is there going to be a video of you firing the gun? If the weather permits, I will take a photo of a Toa holding it today, and I can try to make a video but I don't have a proper video camera so we'll see how that goes. Nescent
I used my phone to take a video. You can do it DarkBlue! Since I've been getting quite a few requests, I'll definitely make a video soon. I know people have requested this, but make building instructions. This is so cool! I think I will make instructions, the only reason I didn't is because it is tedious to line up all of the launchers correctly, so the average Bionicle fan might not be able to build it. I'll make some today though, if the weather clears up! (I need the sun for lighting...)
Mate.397
It's quite neat, though it does feel a bit front heavy, does it weigh the holder forward too much?
Nescent
It's quite neat, though it does feel a bit front heavy, does it weigh the holder forward too much? It doesn't weight much at all, and I had no problem balancing the Protector holding it.

I have delivered! No studs were lost in the making of this video. It looks pretty hefty, even on Onua!Hopefully you can figure out how to fire it with these instructions. If you decide to build it, just spin the gear until all of the Bohrok rubber band holders are lined up with the launcher, then load it. They all need to be lined up for the launchers to fire. Prowl Nightwolf
This looks really cool and the added video confirms this would be a nice addition. I kind of wish there was a locking mech installed so accidental loss of ammo does not take place. Better yet, you posted a pic of my Fav toa taking this beauty for a "Spin?" lol. Better yet, you posted a pic of my Fav toa taking this beauty for a "Spin?" lol.A locking mechanism would probably be easy to install, but like I said I tried to make this as simple/compact as possible. Too bad the normal launchers don't have a firing lock. However, it is a lot harder to accidentally fire the triple launcher, because it requires a great deal of extra force to twist the gear compared to the normal launchers. Prowl Nightwolf
Well the originals was more of to what I was referring though any weapon MOCs should have one just the same with how easy it is said one can loose the ammo studs. Not sure from your video but it looked like you had two types of gear functions. one that rotated each barrel and another with the first fires the ammo. You have to hold/twist both to fire the ammo. Would this be an accurate assumption? Would this be an accurate assumption? Not exactly, there is only one gear function. It rotates the launchers back and forth, but once you rotate the launchers a certain amount, they lock in place causing the studs to fire. Each launcher has a piece attached (the little black pin that the Bohrok use for their rubber bands), whenever that piece collides with the Technic parts, the launchers stop rotating. You can probably figure out how it works if you study the images, but it's a lot easier to understand if you actually use the launcher. Prowl Nightwolf
Ah yes I think I see them now. I guess you using two hands to fire the thing in the short video is what threw me.
