Fry
In the animations, the Golden Mask shrines are always depicted incorrectly in the comic version of the golden mask retrieval. Doesn't really do much but it's interesting none the less. Also, I was reading on the Bionicle Forums and somewhere, they refer to the village of stone as Po-Koto. Is this cannon? Nescent
The Po-Koto thing is not cannon, it's just a name for the villages similar to the "Koro" of Mata Nui. People stared calling them that before we knew they are called Regions.

Nidhiki of the Shadows
Eh, I'm pretty sure the animations will take precedence in canon. Unless the box-comics are a separate conflict, the retrieval of the Golden Masks varies quite a bit in each form of media as well. -NotS

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA GASP I'd put more stock in the animations than in the little promo comics in the instructions. The overall plot might be similar, but there's limited space in the instructions so they probably decided to leave out some details for the sake of simplicity.
believe victims
The comics are just made to show off the sets main functions. In a similar vein, the comics don't match the animation's models; they tend to include more detail, and have more curve to their lines.
