Bryce304
I was thinking of buying a few extra heads to display them, but I'm open to ideas. Maybe some kind of mask rack? Also, how can I find the axel that connects the eye stalk to the heads on Brick Link? Quote Is it 2015 yet?
Nescent
I did, and I posted it in my blog: http://www.bzpower.com/board/blog/1600/entry-132132-what-to-do-with-your-gold-masks/ I would recommend using Y joints like I did, since they take up a lot less space than heads.
dotcom
Nescent made a pretty simple but great-looking mask rack a while back. edit: lol, kapura'd by the man himself while I was off finding a link. Finding parts on Bricklink is fairly easy. I usually just look up a set I know has the piece I need and simply check its inventory. Anyway, I think you mean this. Rooster Nui
I was planning on buying about seventy y-joints on Bricklink a few days ago to display my golden masks and Skull Spiders, as well as all the other masks that will come in the future. I'd recommend doing what Nescent did, because it's amazing. If you've got some money on you, buy some y-joints, axels, pins, basically everything that makes up the average mask rack that holds 2001 masks, apart from the y-joints themeselves, which are needed for the new masks. Munty
This is my current display. It's a very simple brick-built affair made entirely from spare black parts I had. Made this wall the same day as I made my new sets and it's lived on my desk since then! I think the SS should be in the middle for better symmettry but haven't bothered moving it so far. The SS is mounted one brick lower as it's so long. I used y-joints too but mine are vertical as opposed to Nescent's which are horizontal 2 Quote Check out my Bionicle store on Bricklink here!> > > Bionic Bricks < < < Let me know if you can help me find these last few collectibles! Also looking for WILD KRAATA and a VMKK Yo!!! I think I'll just go with the heads for now. As of now I just plan on making a space for the two promo masks we have. Maybe I'll make a small mask rack, though. Guess we'll see! 1 Quote Is it 2015 yet?
Munty
Y-joints are the common socket pieces used for mata hands, hips and shoulders. I didn't know them by that name myself until recently either despite having handled literally thousands of them 2 Quote Check out my Bionicle store on Bricklink here!> > > Bionic Bricks < < < Let me know if you can help me find these last few collectibles! Also looking for WILD KRAATA and a VMKK Yo!!! Toa Doublebee
hmmm...I think I'll just stash them all on spare Suva. Once I get the masks, that is
MartinCollects
Very nice display ideas, I might try to build something similar
Specter Knight
I've made some kind of mask harness for characters (although it only fits well on a CCBS torso and not much else), which can be used in roleplay as a tool that allows the user to draw upon all the powers of the attached mask. Once all the Gold masks are on there, he or she becomes pretty OP. It looks very basic, being a ring of CCBS limbs and old-style Hand pieces (Gen. 2 masks won't stay up on the new streamlined limbs), but it does it's job pretty well. Now all i need are the rest of the gold masks... Edited January 31, 2015 by Daronus Quote (I'll do this eventually, I swear...)
