Ummm...

Not trying to be "that guy," but the map in the game topic says that the area by the lighthouse leads to Ga-Koro instead of Ga-Metru.

Just wanted to point that out if you guys didn't notice it.

Name: Ikinu

Element: Earth

Patient

General

Kanohi: Noble Matatu

Personality: Ikinu is very unstable. He is partially schizophrenic, so he suffers from hearing voices inside of him. He can get violent and when he does, you better run. He does not take kindly to people trying to mess him about.

Appearance: Ikinu is a bulky figure, with big arms and short legs. He is mostly grey with black parts all around. He bears a scar on his right arm from a knife fight with another patient.

Inventory: Ikinu managed to make himself a concealable shiv, which he WILL use if necessary.

I just want to make sure you understand that the toxin dissipated before the construction of the Asylum, so anyone that became a Toa after the fact isn't going to be affected by it. That's not saying you can't play a crazy, but the general idea was that crazy patients were the exception, not the rule. If you understand that, great. If not, well, now you know.

I have a problem with Ikinu's weapon. You'd have to be able to sneak it past security, and I highly doubt that they'd let a self-described "large" knife get past. Change it to something smaller and you're approved.

Tatonio, your character is approved, as long as he became a Toa before the Asylum was built and the toxin dissipated.

Also, yeah, I just noticed the problem, but I've since lost the original picture and it's a pain in the tuckus to take out the map, edit it and put it back in.

Name:  13-5-15-4-16

Element: Fe

Patient or Staff: Patient

(If patient) General or Solitary: General

Kanohi: Mask of Rebounding

Gender:  Male

Personality: Patient #13515416, typically referred to as "Number 135" or simply, thirty-five, was greatly damaged by the toxin that caused toa to go insane. After exposure he began to see lines, dots and cracks over everything. People, animals, buildings and even chairs. He thinks that if he cuts the lines or pokes the dots, people will die. Of course, this isn't the case and he merely ends up stabbing or slashing hapless victims and furniture. For this reason is could be considered legitimately insane. Though if he has his sunglasses on, the eery apparitions are minimized and he can maintain some sanity.

Appearance: Deep blue armor and mask, yellow eyes and heartlight. On the thin side

Inventory: His switchblade "Seven Nights," a small device (about 2/3rd as long as his hand) resembling a wooden block, it has some ornate carvings depicting a horned rahi of some type. When he presses the button, a blade extends. Single edged and smooth. He has a hard time keeping it sharp in the asylum, as usage of his element seems curiously ineffective.

He also possesses a pair of dark sunglasses, re-appropriated welder's goggles in fact. He wears them to prevent seeing the lines of death.

Name: Caetus.

Element: Electricity.

Patient or Staff: Patient.

General or Solitary: General.

Kanohi: Kiril - the Mask of Regeneration.

Gender: Male.

Personality: Cruel, malicious and sadistic, Caetus likes hurting people. He forsook the Toa code long ago, and made a living out of ending the lives of others.

Appearance: Tall and lanky, Caetus is almost skeletal in appearance, with hollow eyes and a cold smile. His body is the classic blue and white of all Vo-Toa, but his white gleams like bleached bones, and the blue is the cold colour of ice.

Inventory: A serrated, dagger-like shiv carved from a single piece of jagged metal.

____________________________________________________________________________

Name: Scriva – “The Scribbler”

Element: Psionics.

Patient or Staff: Patient.

General or Solitary: General

Kanohi: Pehkui - the Mask of Diminishment.

Gender: Female.

Personality: Scriva keeps to herself, never speaking, instead always scribbling away in her notebooks, hence her nickname, “the Scribbler.”

Appearance: Short and small (but perhaps not quite as small and short as she seems), Scriva’s body is a dull, ashy grey, to go with the ragged, threadbare cloak and gloves she wears. Her body is covered in burns from a fire long ago, the heat and smoke from which ruined her voice box and left her able to speak only in a harsh, rasping whisper.

Inventory: A small notebook, numerous writing implements, and, bizarrely, an old scorched lighter.

Name: Delex

Element:De

Patient or Staff:Patient

(If patient)

General or Solitary: General

Kanohi: Great Mask of Intangibility. Shaped like Sanok. Has small plates of thin metal that can be closed like a blindfold.

Gender:M

Personality: Depressed. Feels that all he has left is his music, which he plays almost constantly. Is cold to everyone unless they comment on his music. Then he'll talk to them a little.

Appearance: A Metru build. Grey and silver.

Inventory: When an active Toa, Delex had a stringed instrument built into his forearm. He would use his powers to amplify the gentle strumming into sonic blasts. The doctor's didn't take it, as Delax's weakened powers could no longer use it as a weapon. He also has a small case with cleaning tools and extra strings.

Name: Iyanu

Element: Gravity

Patient or Staff: Patient

(If patient)

General or Solitary: General

Kanohi: Kualsi in shape of Tryna

Gender: Male

Personality: Iyanu is generally a quiet Toa who was calm and methodical. However, when the toxin was released, he didn't seem to change. Much. Apart from becoming increasingly interested in murdering everything that gave him a bad look. Because of this, he was placed into the asylum along with the other toa. Now he can be seen shambling along the halls, occasionally making the odd noise like a cough or a groan, before teleporting away to another location when he gets bored. You do not want to get on his bad side. When his head is twitching, or his music box is playing, run like a storm.

Appearance: An average sized toa with a slightly large girth. Purple in colour with a lighter purple on his chest and lower legs.

Inventory: Two gloves with retractable knives, a small music box.

Requesting to join. Here's my character.

Name: Naemen

Race: Toa

Element: Sonics

Kanohi: Mahiki (Mask of illusion. Forged into the shape of a Noble Jutlin.) Limited to disguising as someone who is of similar size and is in his range of sight.

Gender: Male

Appearance: Average height, looks pretty normal. He can appear very intimidating, what with the mask power.

Personality: Normally, he is just a likeable guy. He has a great sense of humor, and he is actually very intelligent. However, after the incident, he has become insane. As for his insane self's personality, he acts almost childish, but just very... odd... Sometimes, he falls asleep standing up. He tends to repeat things that someone says very quietly to himself and he just snickers and giggles over it. When something funny actually happens, he sort of stares blankly, or falls asleep where he stands. In addition, he seems to have lost his elemental affiliation, in that his ears are not extremely sensitive. Much like Krakua in the prime universe.

Equipment: Aside from his armor, he has a guitar-like weapon. He uses it to channel his sound powers, and the edges are sharpened, so he can use it as an axe if necessary. Confiscated by the asylum. Other than that, he just has his armor and mask.

Alright, let's not have another story one-up me!

Name: Gida

Element: Lightning (Vo-)

Patient or Staff: Patient

General or Solitary: General

Kanohi: Garai (Shape: Volitak). It has been weakened so that she can only produce a weak gravitational field for a maximum of 30 or so seconds. This field itself is only able to make it difficult for anyone to draw near her, and it feels as if they are walking up a very steep hill.

Gender: Female

Personality: She was hardly affected by the gas, as she had been absent from Metru Nui at first, and therefore had only been impacted when the gas had long begun to dissipate and weaken. As a result, she is not technically “insane,” but now hears a voice in her head. However, this “other person” is only in her own mind, and no one else can hear them. Gida is also in full control of herself, and the voice can only speak to her mentally and has no influence on her body. The voice has no name yet, is gender-neutral as far as Gida can tell, and she often finds it annoying. The other person is most often referred to as “The Speaker.” Only a few other patients know of it, and those were some of the first ones she met when taken there. The Speaker seems very intelligent and often gives good advice, but won’t shut up. This leads to Gida not usually being in the best of moods.
Gida herself is oddly reserved for a Vo-Toa, but this only means she is “normal” in social terms. She sticks to the shadows normally, and avoids the guards for no apparent reason. Maybe she’s looking to spice up her now-dull life. She doesn’t seem to mind the dark, but has an odd aversion to light ever since the gas. Ironic, considering her power was one of the brightest types. The only things she seems to enjoy doing are sleeping (when the Speaker isn't talking, which isn't very often) and being somewhat artistic, although she uses the sharp clawtips to gouge patterns in things. She is very observant.

Appearance: She is slender, wearing light armor. Her forearms have somewhat thicker armor due to the gauntlets she still wears, though she can no longer use them to conduct electricity, their intended use. Her Mask and upper limb armor is a dark shade of blue, while the rest of her armor is white. Her gauntlets are a light silver color. She normally seems very calm, but recently has been in a less than good mood.

Inventory: Her gauntlets have been repurposed via sharpening of the fingertips. The claws are not too noticeable, and even if they were, the gauntlets are part of Gida’s armor, so it’d be difficult for a guard to revoke the claws. No other possessions.

Her Toa weapon was a two-handed sword, which was confiscated, and is no longer in her possession.

"Now, I'm sure you'll al want to get adjusted as soon as possible. Dinner is at eighteen hundred hours. Guards, please escort them to their... 'rooms.'"

That's how.

Also, there's much more to this than meets the eye, Volitak. This is a morbid and dark RPG much more challenging than anything so far - with  a 50/50 chance of your demise.

And this is one of the first-ever player-built RPGs. IcarusBen and me run this show, all right, but we're highly open to suggestion. And any player that dies isn't dead forever...

Remember that.

Actually, I really think that RPGs like this are best when they are about alternate universes, although the main BZPRPG universe was disappointingly limited to me. This one seems like the best I've seen yet. I like the new ideas presented for this one. It is very well thought out and planned.

If Iyanu kickes the bucket. Remember that there's always the possibility that someone will survive... But don't get your hopes up.

And Volitak, all of this was pre-planned and thought out before presentation to anyone - And as it grew, it became so large and devastating I can't possibly reveal the storyline no matter what.

But for those who survive: This is the most deadly RPG of them all. Expect for a bone-crushing climax.

Also, you may make as many characters as you like.

Well, I think this story really has promise. I mean, just imagine the fun we can have with this when just about every character is completely insane.

This is actually the one thing I wish I could get the players to change. The crazies were intended to be the exception, not the rule. Then everyone goes around and makes crazy people and my inner control freak goes "No, no, NO! You're all having fun the wrong way!"
