Bionifight Infinite Discussion

New characters can either be a member of Vapautti Sielu (the Cult) or one of their prisoners, as noted in the new “faction” field of the profile. New characters cannot immediately join the Bionifight faction, due to the facility crashing and the teleportation systems being both tampered with and destroyed.

Nato, think you missed this.

I'm feeling pretty certain that I read that post, but since it was lacking both a location and an OOC, no one had an idea which Rahkshi it was referring to. According to BZP, that post was edited today, so there's no way I would've seen the changes.

As I have posted as that character several times since you originally made your post, it really wouldn't make much sense for me to be replying to it now.

I edited it some days ago, and have not seen any other posts as that character by you. I knew that you were one of the people who suggested the edit, so I assumed that you had accidentally missed it.

Because there aren't enough cheery cultists... or female ones either.

Name: Yami no Tenshi goes by 'Tenshi'

Species: Ko-matoran

Faction: Cultist - loyal to Masenna

Power/Weapon 1: Feathered wings

Power/Weapon 2: Ability to create hard-light objects

Power/Weapon 3: Angel Faux - (refrence bio) part of the basic Angel Faux programming still remains within her. When put under significant stress and/or fear, the programming resurfaces, turning her into a merciless killer.

Appearance: Abandoned her white colouring of armour for black to match the default of her wings. During Angel Faux, her wings turn from black to white. Bears a Mask of Possibilities.

Bio: Taken after her village was destroyed and everyone killed, to a laboratory to 'take part' in an experiment: Angel Faux. The idea was to create an artificial angel by forcing mortals to undergo artificial spiritual evolution, with the goal to be reformed as a higher being. Whether it failed or succeeded, we'll never know, since Vapautti Sielu invaded short after and destroyed her universe. When the Herald of Misery found and awoken her, she pledge loyalty to her.

Personality/Other: Female(If you haven't already established that). Fairly cheerful and friendly, compared to the other cultists. Prefers not to make enemies. Her name is translated to Angel of Darkness.

Profile, profile, prisoner prisoner profile!

Name: Hollis

Species: Turaga Inika

Faction: Prisoners

Power/Weapon 1: Elemental Power over Light. Naturally this is only at Turaga strength, but thats nothing to be sniffed at if you know how to use it. It helps that his element is entwined with elemental lightning whenever he uses it, giving a rather literal shock value to his powers. He cannot use the lightning by itself, or control other sources of electricity in any way, its just an added effect to his normal light powers.

Power/Weapon 2: Noble Faxon. Allows Hollis to replicate the powers of Rahi that share the specific environment he is in.

Power/Weapon 3: The inherent Av-type ability to link with another being (be they Toa, Makuta, Skakdi, Vortixx, etc…), unlocking a secondary power and sharing memories through physical contact. Hollis’ Av-Power is the gift of Clarity. Whoever he is linked with is filled with a sense of purpose and agency, cutting through any sense of despair or melancholy they may be suffering under. It also cuts through any psychic shenanigans, such as mind control or psionics-induced illusions (but only those kind of illusions, it would have no effect on someone using a Mahiki or directly manipulating light), and negates any drugs that may be affecting the target. Clarity counters anything that might be altering the target's state of consciousness, essentially

Appearance: Short and crook-backed like all Turaga, he has the distinct white-and-gold coloration of his kind. Only the two tones have a marbling effect going, where they dance and play around each other, entwining in formless patterns rather than the normal one on top of the other armour plating.

His Turaga robes, draped over his hunchback and shoulders, aren’t any one colour but all seven. He had them tie-dyed with all the colours of the rainbow, the brash array contrasting heavily with his simplistic, if irregular, armour.

The mask he wears maintains its Great Faxon appearance though he has had the lenses on the eyeholes smoked to turn them into sunglasses, the same as when he bore the mask as a Toa. It better protects his eyes from his own power, and in his opinion does look kind of cool.

Bio: The universe that Hollis was taken from is one of a similar nature to Voya Nui; a lone island in an endless beset by hazardous terrain, toxic environments, vicious Rahi and more than a few roving bandits. And then hope descended from the skies in the form of a lightning bolt, striking the Matoran known as Hollis. Believed to be a Ko-Matoran, everyone was surprised when he was revealed as a Toa of Light not Ice, and surprise quickly turned to wonder as Hollis put his new powers to use. Terrain? Levelled. Environments? Scoured. Rahi? Driven away. Bandits? Wiped out. Hollis may have had the powers of light but he was ruthless and merciless in using them, often causing a lot of collateral damage and unnecessary destruction in his efforts. So it was that when he had finally made the island from a purgatory to a paradise he was…quietly pushed into creating Toa stones, passing on his power and legacy to six others. After bringing changes that rocked the island to its foundations when he was a Toa, he became both Turaga and hermit. He set himself up in a small cabin away from the island’s one village, living out his days in peace just tending to his garden.

Then the Heralds came and his village quickly found themselves wanting for Hollis’ old firebrand tactics, their second-generation Toa having no experience in or taste for combat. They were summarily dispatched and the survivors, including Hollis, were captured and brought to the prisons of Hevias

Personality/Other: Though originally a man of action who just powered through any problem in his way, Hollis has mellowed considerably in the years he spent as a Turaga. Now he takes a much more “live-and-let-live” approach to life, willing to listen more, and compromise if needs be

everyone's making prisoner characters

might as well bend to peer pressure : )

-The Bandit Queen-

Name: Teacher

Species: Glatorian

Faction: Prisoners

Power/Weapon 1: A sword inscribed with the tribal design of the Skrall, worn at her belt

Power/Weapon 2: A Thornax launcher, holstered at her belt

Power/Weapon 3: A small, detachable telescopic eyepiece which she wears on her helmet

Appearance: Teacher looks the part of a desert bandit: lean, hard, and cruel, her musculature is built more along the lines of a street fighter than a bodybuilder. She stands an inch shorter than the average of her kind, with a build suited more to speed and agility than brute strength; nonetheless, she is clearly no fragile weakling. Her armour is a blend of smoky greys and dull oranges, and she wears a tan, weatherworn shawl around her head and shoulders. Her face is sharp and aristocratic, with dark blue eyes and an expressive smile that can go from cruel smirks to friendly grins in seconds.

Biography: She was just a girl when the Iron Tribe fell to the Dreaming Plague. She was just a girl when her parents died in the ensuing chaos, and when she was forced to flee into the cruel deserts to survive. She was just a girl when she first encountered the Bone Hunters.

Teacher was no girl when she first slew one of those very same Hunters.

Nor was she when she fought and struggled her way to lead a band of Bone Hunters, all of which despite not being of their species. She took on the moniker of “Teacher,” leading her warriors across the deserts, defeating caravans and Agori campsites, packs of Vorox and garrisons of Skrall. Her name echoed across the sands of Bara Magna, inciting a sort of religious terror in the underworld of that wasteland.

Perhaps the world breathed a sigh of relief when she was snatched away.

The island of Saarella Kirottu certainly shouldn’t.

Personality/Other: Teacher is brutal and ruthless, but not without a code of honour; she imposes a strict code of a fair play upon herself, not allowing herself any advantage over her opponent. This is all to prove the point, both to herself and those around her, that she is one of the best warriors in the land. She holds something of a philosophy of social Darwinism, and nurses a dark inferiority complex from trying to assimilate into Bone Hunter society.

I'm just going to try this out and see if this gets approved.

Name: Shade

Species: None (Ghost?)

Faction: Cultist of Kuolema (Death)

Power 1-3: Shade is a bodiless soul that floats aimlessly in the world of the living. Despite lacking a body, it may render itself visible to others. It can't interact with physical beings and objects, passing right through them instead. This means that it cannot be killed through mundane means. Shade communicates through telepathy, by projecting its thoughts into the minds of others. Its 'voice' is calm and emotionless. It can choose which minds can hear its words and can project them to multiple people. It is unable to read the thoughts of others, but can hear their speech. It can detect active minds nearby and can itself be detected by beings with psionic abilities. Despite this, it makes an excellent scout and spy, able to observe others without being noticed.

Appearance: When it decides to become visible to the living, it looks like a shimmering dark grey cloud with a vague, skull-shaped face.

History: Shade has been dead for a long time. It no longer remembers what life felt like, but assumes that it was better than its current ghostly existence. It is jealous of the living, the breathing beings still capable of feeling and interacting with the world. It abandoned hope of being resurrected some centuries ago. but struggles with accepting the fact that it is doomed to experience cold afterlife for all eternity. Before dying, Shade, whatever its name was in this bygone age, performed a ritual which granted it immortality. But after some millenia it grew tired of living, and tried to end its own life. Finally succeeding and destroying its body entirely, Shade realized in horror that it would still continue to live, but as a bodiless ghost. Some time ago it joined the cult of Kuolema, hoping that once alive, the god could grant it the gift of death.

Personality: Apathetic and tired of life and afterlife. Doesn't particularly care about living beings and their silly ambitions any longer. It is, however, willing to do whatever required by its master, Tuoni, in order to make Kuolema live.

still alive somehow

What the-? Alright... An alleyway. And... Where a mirror had been? There was broken glass around it, after all, but now it was a jagged hole. Cautiously, Dio Folle approached the hole, her lower arm morphing into a blade.

Welp. Prisoner time...

Name: Gigos

Species: Unique

Faction: Prisoner

Power/Weapon 1: Bone blades. These bones retract into his bulky arms, and are razor sharp. He must wear thick gauntlets while in the prison to prevent him from using them.

Power/Weapon 2: Pakari level strength.

Power/Weapon 3: Bone constructs: Gigos can attract all the bones within a half mile radius at most, but is generally limited to a couple hundred feet, and can create simple non-living objects such as walls or spikes. He cannot create blades. The angrier they are, the longer the range these bones can attract to him.

Appearance: Gigos is huge. They towers above toa, Skakdi, even Steltian elites. They wear black armor, but their head, lower arms and legs, and hands and feet are a bone white. They have glowing red eyes.

Bio: In an alternate universe, Gigos was the alpha of a pack of his species. They was rough, but fair, and wer considered the strongest pack leader in all the land. Unfortunately, the cult invaded his universe and slaughtered his pack, capturing him and only him.

Personality/Other: Since the slaughter of their pack, Gigos has become incredibly unstable, acting mostly on instincts. During the night, you can hear their cries and shrieks, which sound unearthly. They are now quick to anger, much different from their previous life as an alpha. Gigos is not as intelligent as they used to be, and only has a basic vocabulary. Their gender is unknown,

Fishers. I got some big issues with this post.

IC(Ismekne): Upon seeing that her attack on Hive had failed, the lava walls, and the strange Parasite that for some reason had resistance to lava or could make it though the walls, well, time for Plan D. A waterspout formed under her feet as the Toa brought her hammer up, painfully, to rest on her shoulder, the head angled up above her mask. Controlling the speed of the flow of water, the Toa began punching through the ceiling...

First of all. I would love to know when Iskmene acquired eyes in the back of her head. I refer you to the bolded sections of my post of Parasite.

IC Parasite:

Ignored.

Unseen.

behind.

open. exposed. unwitting. ripereadyinfectinfectinfectinfect.

FEED.

LEAPING STRETCHING STRIKING BURROWING INFECTING KILLING SLICING TEARING.

Parasite leapt, eerily silent from behind Iskmene, Bone sword extended, ready to stab deep into her unprotected back.

ready to rend her apart, ready to consume, ready to infect her cells with its own, to add her knowledge to its own to add her power to its own.

In addition, the post before that had Parasite relatively close to Iskmene, and thus not in the path of ANY lava.

Which prceeded to get ignored and I rolled with it.

Secondly, I'd like to point out the fact that Iskmene hasbeen taking big hits from a lot of chemical attacks that are designed to weaken and incapacitate their foes for a long time. And yet you continue to have her shake it off after one post. Additionally, In all likelyhood, Iskmene would be in shock due to the broken shoulder blade.

ANY movement of the at arm would be excruciating, due to that bone's purpose.

I'd ask you to edit something not absolutely outrageously impossible.

Name: Whisper.

Species: Makuta.

Faction: Vapautti Sielu.

Power/Weapon 1: Wings – semi-transparent and wraithlike, her red wings have razored edges, serving as deadly weapons as well as a means of attaining flight.

Power/Weapon 2: Shadows – she specialises solely in shadow-travelling (she can only travel to shadows she can see, or knows the location of) and the creation of a shadow hand, of which she possesses Chirox-level mastery (although she cannot actually absorb other items/beings).

Power/Weapon 3: Sonics – she is adept in numerous forms of sonic manipulation, but is unable to make objects out of sound.

Appearance: Trapped in the form of a lithe, serpentine wyvern with oily black skin, her body is covered in overlapping plates of lightweight crimson armour with gaps allowing her translucent blood-red spines to poke through. Her tail ends in two whip-like tendrils, tipped with jagged spikes, and her eyes glow with an acidic green light.

Bio: When the Vapautti Sielu invaded her world, she was interrupted in the midst of one of her experiments, which backfired on her. Trapping her in a singular form and stripping her of most of her powers, she was saved from certain death by Tuoni, who chose to recruit her instead of leaving her to perish in the ruins of her laboratory. Though she knows no loyalty to the cult or its beliefs, she feels indebted to Tuoni for giving her a second chance at life, and will fight and die at his command.

Personality/Other: Clever, quiet and cautious, she fancies herself to be a bit of a spy, and relies on guile and trickery to outmanoeuvre and outwit her foes. She is also loyal to a fault, never questioning an order so long as it comes from Tuoni’s own mouth.

/EDIT: Asking for clarification on Samael's velocity powers.

Name: "Seven," real (but forgotten) name is Laefing
Species: Degenerate Toa
Power/Weapon 1: Power of Hunger. Similar to the Kraata power of Hunger, Seven can, if in physical contact with a being, sap their strength and energy away - and in turn, make himself stronger, creating a self-perpetuating cycle of energy consumption which, should the enemy not break free from the grip within fifteen seconds, will prove almost impossible for an enemy to break free from alone. However, this also extends to actual feeding - best effects are gained via the actual ingestion of enemies/living victims, either in part or in whole. Often, after grabbing onto an enemy, Seven will attempt to take a bite out of them.
Power/Weapon 2: Enhanced Physical Strength - Seven is powerful enough to rival any sub-type Skakdi or even any of the three Steltian species in sheer physical strength, and can even match a Toa with a Pakari in terms of physical strength, meaning other strategies would have to be used if they arm wreslted. In fits of extreme rage, he is possibly even capable of ripping the arms off of those who he's fighting against, normally proceeding to eat them afterwards.
Power/Weapon 3: Rahkshi staff. Obtained from an unknown type of Rahkshi, this Rahkshi staff shares the near-invulnerability of all Rahkshi staffs, but one end is shaped like a Lerahk's staff but with a third point in the center, all three of them being quite sharp, while the other end is a very sharp blade, similar to that of a Naginata. Seven calls it his "knork."
Appearance: Seven is a very large being, only slightly reminiscent of being a Toa. He is now rather close to the size of a leader class Steltian when standing straight, although hunched over as he normally is, he's much closer to the size of a Gladiator Steltian such as Krekka...which is still quite large. His armour is primarily a shade of sickly slate-grey, although it has various rust spots over it, and his skin underneath is a hue of purple that appears black in all but the best light. His mask, formerly a Miru, has now fused to his face, and has adopted a much more predatory profile - as well, when Seven smiles that great, large, Miru grin, many fangs can be seen. Down his back run spines similar to those of Skakdi or (more accurately) Rahkshi, and his hands and feet have claws that he uses when fighting hand-to-hand. He also has a mask he keeps with him, either worn on a necklace or held in one hand as Seven lurches along the facility. This mask is a russet copper hue, and is a Kanohi Rode - however, it has numerous tooth marks in it and a quite noticable crack, making it completely unusable and merely an affectation Seven carries with him. He calls it "Six."
Bio: When he was originally created, Seven was known as Laefing. Laefing was a Toa of Light and a hero among his people, and like other Toa from his home universe, went by a number almost as much as by his name - Seven. Others, such as Nine and Ten, would have known of him and possibly met him. However, early on in his history, he was captured by the Makuta, before they were all sent away. These Makuta tortured him, and they twisted him, trying to create the perfect soldier for themselves, a Toa of Shadow, who could fight the other heroes of the land. Eventually these Makuta disappeared, leaving only the unfinished Seven, a slavening beast of nothing but hunger, mutated now into a larger version of his formerly handsome self, resplendent with teeth and claws and spines like a Rahkshi. Eventually he escaped his now-unwatched cell, breaking free from the chains he had been in. He went on the search for others he knew, and found one, named Six. Nobody knows for sure what happened to Six, although judging by the mask that Seven has carried with him since Six's disappearance...it can be guessed at.

While on the hunt for Nine, however, Seven was teleported to the Bionifight facility, and while he has no real knowledge of who it is that is in this place, he believes he can thrive...and that he smells a couple familiar scents in the facility as well.

Personality/Other: Seven is cruel. Seven is sadistic. Seven truly cares only for himself and his stomach, and no others. This is not to say, however, that he is unintelligent. Seven is a predator, and reflects that in his intelligence - it is built around hunting and destroying his enemies and nothing else, but he is very smart when it relates to that, and knows very well what to do. He is also very perceptive, and doesn't miss details - and he isn't gullible, either. However, despite all this, his mind can truthfully be said to be 'gone,' in the sense that Laefing, the man who once was there, isn't anymore - or if he is, he has no power. Seven is simply the animal that was left behind.

change underlined, trying to bring him in-line with the rest of the super strength people here

Changes approved

Repost of a repost

repost, clarified how the amulet works, hope that's enough

Name: Miira Ac Drachares
Species: Vortixx
Faction: Prisoner
Appearance: Miira is an athletic Vortixx, skin armour coloured completely black. She's quite agile and quick, although not particularly strong. Several scars are scattered across her body, green and red swirls tattooed on her back. She has sharpened her finger claws and teeth. Her eyes and heartlight glow light blue.
History: Miira was Dartakh's lover, and comes from a universe where it was her who survived. She spent years aimlessly wandering after Dartakh's death and the disbanding of her mercenary group, without any motivation to keep living. Like Dartakh in another universe, she later continued to work as a mercenary and became obsessed with violence. Her universe was conquered by Vapautti Sielun and she was imprisoned.
Personality/Other: Miira is serious and cunning. She has always been an adept liar and usually lacks compassion for others. She trusts nobody and lacks any sense of humour. Before Dartakh's death, Miira was happy, compassionate and loved joking, but those days are long gone. She's not sure if there's any point in escape attempts and doesn't really care about freedom anymore.
Weapon 1: Poisoned blades: Miira's favourite weapons, two identical daggers coated with a permanent sheen of poisonous matter. The coat poisons organic matter upon contact. Resulting symptom is dizziness that slowly escalates until the person loses consciousness. This process usually takes about fifteen minutes. The daggers are good for both stabbing and slashing. She calls them 'The Deadly Twins".
Power 2: Tachyr amulet: While it appears to be a mere golden necklace, the wearer may press the amulet's yellow gem and become temporarily invulnerable by making their skin immune to physical damage and pain. This effect lasts for a few seconds, but can save the wearer's life. After use it takes quite a while for the amulet to recharge.
Weapon 3: Throwing daggers: She owns a set of daggers designed for throwing. They are balanced and sharp, deadly in the hands of an experienced user. Unlike her normal daggers, these ones aren't poisoned.

Gonna approve this, since it seems like if you can keep pushing the attack, then yeah, still gonna get hurt. =P

Repost (Assuming this hasn't already been approved)

Name: Drudd

Species: Rahkshi of Anger

Faction: Prisoner

Power/Weapon 1: Rage (Using his Anger powers on himself, Drudd can become more ferocious with his attacks as he lashes out in a wild rage. However, his lack of concentration in this state makes him unable to guard or disengage from combat)

Power/Weapon 2: Launcher Staff (A polearm-type weapon with an Energy blaster in the Tip. Due to years of not being sharpened, the edges are incredibly blunt, making the staff no more than a bludgeoning weapon that doubles as a shooter.)

Appearance: Drudd is a brutish Rahkshi with Snow-white armour, arranged in Heavy, thick plating. His spine appears to consist of serrated blades, and his powerful arms have been scarred from numerous tests.

Bio: Drudd was once a standard Rahkshi, but due to experimentation by the brotherhood to create more advanced soldiers, He was enhanced to be a super strong, super tough brute. However, he inevitably broke free from his captives and killed his masters, only to then be abducted by the Vapautti Sielu.

Personality/Other: Drudd isn’t the brightest lightstone in the cave, and constantly talks with a speech impediment (eg, “My name is Drudd” Becomes “Me Drudd” and so on). Despite his menacing appearance, Drudd is very kind towards those less fortunate than him, and wants freedom more than anything else. Just don’t get him angry…

Seems okay to me. Approved.

Name: Samael

Species: Unique

Faction: Vapautti Sielu

Power 1: Velocity Control: Samael possesses the ability to create, control, and absorb velocity, connected to an energy system identical to that of elemental powers. This power enables manipulation of the speed and direction of objects, resulting in mentally-powered movement and redirection (think telekinesis, except Samael isn't exerting pure force in a very precise manner, but manipulating the aspects of an object's movement). Samael is very, very skilled in the use of this power, and has spent his entire existence training with it.

Power 2: Accelerated Perception: Samael perceives the world at an extremely heightened rate, resulting in everything seeming incredibly slow. His physical abilities are not modified by this; he cannot move faster, merely consider his situation much, much more carefully and react accordingly.

Power 3: Power Negation: Samael possesses the ability to negate a target's any one power (as in one power slot on their profile: this includes weapons with power-based properties, but nothing like a firearm or sword), as identified by perception of use (or previously acquired knowledge). The power can be used on up to two persons at once, but cannot be used to negate two of one being's powers. This negation requires concentration (about Kanohi-use level) to maintain, so if Samael's concentration is broken, the power is instantly fully operational (until/unless Samael retargets).

Appearance: Slightly taller than a Po-Toa and of similar physique, Samael is extremely, disarmingly handsome. Strong and regal face structure, the posture of a military officer; strangers' first impression of the being is some sort of divine saviour, created and perfected for beauty and symmetry. Varying shades of muted brown, tan, and white compose his form, blending together in beautifully seamless patterns. He looks like a Romanticist's canvas given life, and his aura is that of a classical hero.

Bio: The Brotherhood's equivalent of Tobduk, Samael's origin has long ago been expunged from the history of the organisation. All this is known is that he was the aide of Miserix and then the aide of Antroz following his original master's banishment and false execution; this leads many to presume that he was mutated by the Kanohi of Miserix, resulting in his current form. Regardless of the origin of his powers, his history as an assassin, warrior, and diplomat is unquestionably impressive; for as long as most can remember, Samael has been the face of the Brotherhood in delicate matters where Makuta dare not tread. He often conducted business with the Dark Hunters on behalf of the Brotherhood, before the Metru-Nui incident, and acted as a one-man strike team against threats in Antroz's territory. When the Destiny War began, he did something no one expected; vanished. Most presumed him dead, killed by some minor Order agent, but in truth he had joined the Dark Hunters, thinking that the petty and tyrannical Makuta would be unable to survive the war. It was during this period of his life that he was plucked from his world and time, and brought into the Bionifight tournament. After the tournament's crashlanding on the Cult-controlled island, Samael defected to the Cultists in hopes of continued survival.

Personality/Other: Samael is a very well-concealed monster. Calm, perpetually smiling, at times seemingly gentle and kind, Samael creates the perfect deception of honourable intent and action. However, hidden behind this cloak of normality is a monstrous sadomasochist of titanic proportions who finds true happiness only from his pain and that of others. He lies somewhere between psychopathy and machiavellianism on the dark triad, but is high-functioning in every aspect of the former and subtle to the extreme in his practice of the latter. Most disturbing of all is his patience and utter serenity, existent regardless of his situation.

Name: Kaiota

Faction: Vapautti Sielu

Species: Kaihoro (AU Equivalent of Makuta)

Power 1: Ngateri: Kaiota is an extremely skilled user of telekinesis, having trained with it for her entire life; she is able to levitate and move large (or multiple) objects with ease. She specialises in telekinetic analysis of her environment (basically the telekinetic equivalent of sonar), and has great skill in offensive uses of the power.

Power 2: Matenga: Kaiota possesses the ability to “feed” on matter, consuming it (the speed of the consumption relies on the target's size/mass; a handgun's bullet is instantaneous, a sword takes a few seconds, etc.) to regenerate tissue lost from her corpse or build up excess telekinetic energy. The consumption occurs when the targeted material comes into contact with the flesh of Kaiota's physical habitation (Kaiota can also focus the power into her telekinetic energy, but its is much slower and cannot effect living organisms when directed in that manner). Kaiota specializes in absorbing elemental constructs, but is also able to absorb naturally occurring matter with great speed.

Power 3: Corpse Inhabitation: Kaiota does not have a true physical form; instead, she inhabits a single corpse at a time. The inhabited cadaver is moved not by its muscles but via telekinesis,. Her mental existence has no attachment to the corpse; for all intents and purposes, Kaiota is mentally nonexistent to any Ce-Toa searching for the corpse's mind. She does not see through the corpse's eyes or breath through their lungs; her consciousness remains outside of the corpse, granting perception separate from the rotting flesh (an important exception to the lack of connection is Kaiota's ability to speak in her own voice through the corpse, regardless of its condition). The corpse's lost tissue (either by decay or combat) is regrown with great speed by the consumption of matter; the more matter, the faster the regeneration. This does not, however, make Kaiota invincible; she cannot jump from corpse to corpse unless given plenty of time. The bonding process takes up to an hour, and cannot begin unless Kaiota is already in another corpse; therefore, if Kaiota's current corpse is completely destroyed, she will be for all intents and purposes dead.

Appearance: Outside of her corpse, Kaiota is completely intangible and invisible. Her current corpse is a member of Hydraxon's species, tall and imposing, albeit with broken and charred armour. The eyes of the corpse do not follow the target of Kaiota's sight, nor does its mouth match the speech that emanates from within, leading to an incredibly unsettling appearance.

Bio: Hailing from a universe where the equivalent of the Makuta's removal of inner light resulted not in antidermis but in undead monstrosities, Kaiota has a history of violence and malice. Born and bred to be the first line of defense against the monstrous, eldritch gods and demons that attempted to conquer the Great Being-equivalents of that world, the Kaihoro species are not so much beings as living weapons, designed to tear through the behemoths of tooth and claw that their society faced. She was marvellously successful; there was little she could not eat, and few monsters willing to beseige the cities he was assigned to protect. Her life of killing and feasting was interrupted by the Vapautti Sielu's conquering of her world. Left without instructions, she experienced autonomy for the first time, and despised it, quickly deciding it better to join her attackers. She currently serves as a bruiser and warrior for the Cult, but is far from their most loyal member; she believes in the five gods because that is what she is told to do, not because of any personal convinction.

Personality/Other: Kaiota is a very interesting being. She was born to kill and main and eat, and is very skilled in those acts, but is also inexplicably interested in emotion and the concept of feeling. She is a very quiet, simplistic person, and her greatest emotion is her occasional raging envy of the eloquence, erudition, and emotional maturity of other beings.

See top of post.

I need clarification on Kaiota and her powers, though.

I forget if I ever posted this or not.

Well, here you go, Staff. Changes underlined.

Name : Maccha Yellow! (Real Name : August)

Species : Glatorian

Power/Weapon One : Knockback SFX! Maccha Yellow has the ability to create brightly colored explosions and smoke with his kicks and punches. These explosions don't do damage as normal explosions would, but possess a very strong knockback effect that can stagger large opponents and fling smaller ones several bio in the air or backwards

Power/Weapon Two : Calling your shots! If Maccha Yellow is able to call out or name an attack or action, it gains strength. For example, a simple punch to his opponent's guard might do little more than jostle them. Were he to call out AMAZING PUNCH, they would be hit with a far greater amount of force

Power/Weapon Three : Jikan Blade! : A stylized heavy cavalry sabre with a clock-face in the hilt. Besides serving as a trustworthy and well made sword, it has a special attack can be activated once* per fight. When the special attack is used, a single strike is "multiplied" and produces two simultaneous** strikes. Maccha Yellow! is able to aim the second strike as he pleases. For the sake of your sanity, the actual physics behind this attack are left an unexplained mystery

*Fight being defined as any engagement between him and/or any allies and another enemy or group of enemies

**The secondary strike must be physically possible to perform from the same position he makes the first strike from. For example, no combinations of posterior and anterior strikes

Power/Weapon Four : Kanohi Kostanze, consensually looted from Sandalphon. The Kostanze allows the user to punt things they come into contact with a distance away. Be that thing a wall, person, bad vibe or otherwise. It was gifted unto him by the dying Sandalphon before he departed our mortal coil for a better place, his last words were instructions to, "use it for... jus... tice *dying sounds*"

He cannot use this item in any training rounds

Appearance : A tall and heroic figure. Now bereft of his yellow wrappings, he is revealed as a lean and acrobatic Fe-Glatorian suited in what few pieces of armor his suit had, as well as bearing a heroic bright yellow SCARF and matching BANDANNA that flutter in the wind

Bio : In his world, peace is the norm and the Brotherhood of Makuta and Order of Mata-Nui are little more than rival production companies. He was an actor in a children's show, playing the hero Maccha Yellow, the leader of the Toa Maccha Rangers! Upon his arrival to the Bionifight universe, he found himself in possession of the powers he once only wielded on television! Upon reaching an epiphany after Landfall, he cast off his childish ambitions and has dedicated himself to being a true SEIGI NO MIKATA, not on the screen, but in reality

MACCHA APPROVED!

Reposting for approval.

And so continues the epic ballad of "Five-Knuckled Sal."

Name: Salera, more commonly known as "Five-Knuckled Sal"

Species: Toa

Power/Weapon 1: Kanohi Pakari, The Mask of Strength - Grants its user physical strength far beyond their normal limits. Salera's has since been reforged into a different shape.

Power/Weapon 2: Elemental Power of Lightning - Standard control over the creation/manipulation of electricity.

Power/Weapon 3: Knuckle Duster Gauntlets - Fairly standard armored hand protection. Comes with built-in knuckle dusters to aid in close quarters combat, which, as her monniker implies, she is fairly proficient at.

Appearance: Salera is of average height, only appearing taller because of her mohawk. She sports a piercing in her bottom lip, and her lithe, attractive frame is decorated in the standard color scheme for those of her element.

Bio: Salera was just a young and impressionable Toa when she and her mentor were sent to assist her universe's version of Metru Nui in its war against The Dark Hunters, but unbeknownst to her, tragedy would soon befall them along the way. Caught in a storm with no chance of escape, their vessel capsised and sank to the bottom of the ocean, leaving the duo to swim towards the nearest landmass available.

Unfortunately for them, that landmass ended up being the island of Zakaz.

Losing the elder Toa almost immediately to the horde of murderous Skakdi, Salera was stranded there alone for years, constantly looking over her shoulder and fleeing for her life. Eventually her will to survive allowed her to push back her fear, and the whispers of the skull-mangling Vo-Toa that roamed the island almost became as popular as the story of Irnakk itself. By the end of what she commonly refers to as her "vacation," she had become a hardened warrior who had even managed to gain control over a small army after dealing with its previous warlord and announcing her plan to charge the blockade of ships surrounding the island; a plan that worked almost flawlessly in her favor. After renouncing her position as leader and passing along the torch to her second-in-command, she then set off for Metru Nui once more to fulfil her primary objective.

Upon arriving at her destination, however, she found herself almost immediately being detained. While the war had thankfully ended during her time as a castaway, The Dark Hunters had released a chemical weapon upon the city's populace, causing all of the Toa stationed there, and even those who became Toa shortly afterwards, to descend into the depths of madness. With her reputation and status as a guardian tarnished before her feet even touched the ground, she was soon put through processing and, despite the many pleas that she had attempted to make to the Turaga Council, was eventually shipped off to the Metru Nui Sanitarium to continue her psychological evaluation.

What nobody informed her of on her way in, though, was that the device draining the patients of both their elemental powers and their Kanohi abilities had also given birth to a creature known as Abbenidium, a being so powerful that it had escaped captivity on multiple occasions while simultaneously treating the facility as its own personal hunting grounds.

After spending her first night in Solitary Confinement and waking up only to have the entire section of the building seemingly collapse around her head, she soon realised that nearly all of those in charge were completely inept at their jobs, and she decided to take matters into her own hands. Rendering her guard escorts unconcious after her powers returned to her and getting her hands on a uniform of her own, she eventually met up with a group of like-minded individuals (one of them also ironically a member of the staff) before attempting to negotiate for her immediate release. Even though what she was told was less than what she had hoped for, Salera stuck to her end of the bargain anyway, and soon afterwards, the creature had been vanquished. With her release potentially on the horizon and the chances of her being used as a chew toy substantially decreased, things were just starting to look up for her.

Until the Vapautti Sielu invaded, destroyed her universe, and took her captive that is, which only succeeded in ticking her off even more; a feat that even those who knew her wouldn't have even thought possible.

Personality/Other: Explosive. Due to her being forced to fall back on her anger for so long in order to subdue her fear, she has unfortunately trapped herself inside of an endless loop of her own rage. As such, even the littlest thing can set her off, be it looking at her funny or anything else she finds equally annoying, and those who look into her eyes are constantly left wondering whether she's going to try to engage in civil conversation or attempt to tear off their heads for her own personal amusement. Her nights spent huddled around a campfire on Zakaz have also left her with a rather extreme case of pyromania, since staring into the flames and fighting for her life were her only two sources of entertainment for so long, and because the majority of her stay was severely lacking in the interaction department.

Ehhh... Little iffy on this one; gonna leave for one of the other staff members to look over.

Power/Weapon 3: Bone constructs: Gigos can attract all the bones within a 5 mile radius, and can create simple non-living objects such as walls or spikes. He cannot create blades.

Added explanatory tl;dr sections to the confusing powers.

Power 2: Matenga: Kaiota possesses the ability to “feed” on matter, consuming it to regenerate tissue lost from her corpse. Consumption is similar to a Disintegration power, except that the matter itself is absorbed by Kaiota's current body and is turned into new tissue (the speed of the consumption relies on the target's size; a handgun's bullet is instantaneous, a sword takes a few seconds, etc.). TL;DR: A regenerative version of Disintegration, activated by physical contact. The speed of the consumption relies on the size of the object. Can be used at range, but in that form it is weakened to a Jutlin-esque gradual decay and cannot target living beings.

Power 3: Corpse Inhabitation: Kaiota does not have a true physical form; instead, she inhabits a single corpse at a time. The inhabited cadaver is moved not by its muscles but via telekinesis, leading to an extremely unnerving and unnatural locomotion. While she uses the corpse as a puppet and as her attachment to the physical world, it has no connection to her own mental existence; for all intents and purposes, Kaiota is mentally nonexistent to any Ce-Toa searching for the corpse's mind. TL;DR: Undead physiology (but moved by telekinesis instead of rotting flesh), capable of being switched from corpse to corpse if she has an hour alone. Her perception abilities and mind are not tied to the corpse. If her corpse is completely destroyed, she's dead.

I'm sorry about this, but before continuing the approval for Samael, I just want some more clarification on his velocity powers and such; and what he can do with them, sorry. ^^''

/EDIT: ... ack; um, so, W-o-S...

Power/Weapon 3: Bone constructs: Gigos can attract all the bones within a 5 mile radius, and can create simple non-living objects such as walls or spikes. He cannot create blades.

I'm... No, 5 miles are too long; I didn't catch that part until just now. Please change that to a more realistic amount. A much more realistic amount.

No problem; It's basically just a linear version of telekinesis but tied to an element-style power system. Examples of usage: Limited flight via granting himself a sufficient velocity (moving himself across the ground in a Kakama-like manner, however, would not be one of the uses), controlling the motion and direction of projectiles, absorbing the velocity of an object to render it motionless. Creating velocities for other characters would be autohitting (much like a telekinetic grab), so that wouldn't be possible, but amplifying or decreasing their pre-existent velocity was something I believed to be within the power's purview.

1) Ismekne did not see Parasite. She formed the waterspout to deal with the lava.

2) Ismekne has two arms. I spent three posts establishing that she had her weapon on the opposite arm of the bone that was broke.

3) At last check, Hive was in between Is and Parasite with intent on stopping the bad boy.

I'm open to editing, but I want to see how you respond to these points first.

Sure. First off, I don't know how iskmene didn't see Parasite at first, given it went right up to her. That aside, I let that go, and in the following posts, people were turnnng and talking to quite a few different people while Parasite was all but ignored.

Second. Yes, you should only have one working arm, but if I recall correctly, you've been using both since that point. I may be wrong on this point, and that's fine.

Third. Yeah, Hive -was- next to Parasite. And then Parasite moved. as did most of the people in the room.

This still doesn't even cover the fact that you've been basically no selling Chemical attacks which should be leaving Iskmene Lethargic and on top of that, making it hard for her to breathe due to Hive's gas grenades which effects grow stronger over time.

Personally, I'm wondering how Ismekne expects to smash through the ceiling on a water spout. As you've said, her one arm is mangled and you mentioned her falling on the other. In your own words, "she won't be swinging that hammer anytime soon."

And yet, she manages to raise the hammer above her head. Even if that was not a prodigious feat in her current condition (as Scorp said, Snese has been blasting her with virus over and over and yet she doesn't seem all that tired, and Hive's virus seemed to have no effect), she's expecting to smash that hammer through the ceiling. Odds are she's just going to kill herself as she splatters herself against the ceiling.

1) He was behind her, as you established in your post you quoted.

2) No, I did not have her use both arms. In addition, I had her experience enough pain to make her fall over at one point, as she was pulling on the wound.

3) Uh, no, not really. Hive's chemical attack did work, in addition to breaking part of her shoulder, she fell over and hit the ground, unable to move for like three posts before she fell unconscious. Then she was sleeping (thanks to further lethargy and impaired movement attacks), and then it took two posts for her to get up afterwards.

There's also the fact that she didn't run for the exit or even walk for the exit as soon as she got up, start hitting things, etc. That's why she's resorting to her powers instead of using her weapon/legs.

No, she's resting the haft on her - intact - shoulder, putting the head above her mask.

And she's using the spout as an elevator, not a blaster to punch through. That's why there's a significant amount of delay between rising up and her getting through, as said post established. It's supposed to get her up just enough to punch a hole to get out. Which won't be the best, and even Ismekne will tell you that it would suck, because the odds are it would leave her with two broken arms.

Of course, that's this Toa for you. Better two broken arms than getting captured by the enemy.

Before Parasite went behind her, it went right up to her, even asking if she was scared.

after it was ignored, it moved around behind her.

Also, despite you claiming that the chem attacks are working, Iskmene doesn't seem all that lethargic or hard of breathing.

which she should be.

And beyond that, you straight up ignored Parasite's attack. How She even had the mental fortitude to create a water spout to lift herself high enough and swing a hammer at the ceiling is beyond me, given that she should basically be kind at everyone's mercy right now.

This is Ismekne. Mental fortitude is kind of her middle name, and I did write that on her profile long, long, ago.

Further, lethargy or clumsiness would affect her movement, not her ability to use her powers. And to be fair, she did sleep off some of it.

In further case, if the viruses had that much effect, that Toa would not be on her feet right now and would have never gotten off that bed. And not just because this character is a strategist - it would be physically impossible.

Mental fortitude is one thing

this is getting to be relatively unrealistic

for example

star wars stuff time

Revan had lots of mental fortitude

but when he was captured by Scourge and Scourge's then-master and held in the dungeon, they fed drugs into him and he wasn't really even able to use the Force if only because he couldn't concentrate enough

Ismekne should be in a similar state right now

she's seriously wounded

she's been hit by lethargy!gas

and by something that, if i remember right, was supposed to cause swelling and make it hard for her to breathe

and yet

she's still using her element just fine

somehow

which makes no sense at all

profiles i guess

i'm a south american giant otter now

Umm...

I'll start with this:

Character Name: Ismekne
Species: Toa
Power/Weapon 1: Standard two-headed warhammer.
Power/Weapon 2: Elemental Power of Water
Power/Weapon 3: Control over Electricity.

Appearance: Ismekne has dark blue and gold armor. She wears a powerless mask, and the bottom of her forarms are ridged and gray with black geometric designs carved in.

Bio: Ismekne was formerly a record keeper for a mine in the southern continent, until, as most of these stories go, she was injured in a mine cave in and sent to Karzanhi for repairs. It would a bit of a typical story - until the enterprising Matoran zapped the boat driver with her new weapons and sent him to the bottom of the sea. Then she piloted her way home, only for her home inhabitants to reject her new appearance on sight. She stubbornly refused to leave until a rogue Turaga showed up and promised that he could give her the power to destroy the entire land of Karzanhi.

Unfortunately, that Turaga is now dead. The local rumor, of coarse, was that he led the Matoran to a natural source of Toa energy. Ismekne, in her rage at being betrayed and turning into a "hero that could never kill or destroy" decided to do just that. What's confusing is how she ended up defending a fortress on the edge of the Southern Continent, or why she decided to get a warhammer. It's not very typical for a Ga-Matoran or the defenders of that fortress, who mostly resorted to bows and arrows. Of course, since the last being who did questioned that ended up smashed through two fortress walls, the subject doesn't come up that often.

As a result of all of this, Ismekne is stubborn, persistent, and ambitious. She also is a shrewd and conniving strategist. But her short temper is legendary, including the fine art of slipping casual threats of violence into the most oblique of conversations, and she does not take well to being questioned. About anything.

Fixed. Edited.

Where is mental fortitude stated here? I'm all for things being fair, but. That is not a stated power or anything. So... Not really seeing it??

It's supposed to be in the bio. This person went to Karzahni and back, fought off a boat captain with weapons that she barely knew how to use, stayed at her hometown in the face of jeers and insults for years, and then had the audacity (supposedly) to kill off a respected Turaga right after he gave her the power to become Toa. If that doesn't say "mental fortitude", I'm not sure what does.

I've also done some backstory alluding IC that said that our resident Toa was fighting Frosteulus when called in and is rather used to going for a certain amount of time without much food or proper rest. I'm trying to hold that consistent with her response to the lethargy attacks.

Yeah, she really has made those points IC.

You can't base things solely off a profile, there's lots of stuff I didn't add to mine and don't need to. Things can be alluded to IC to build a character over time, rather than making a huge expository info dump of a profile.

...but close to it

Okay, now that I'm back home, there's a few things I'd like to point out:

No, she's resting the haft on her - intact - shoulder, putting the head above her mask.

And she's using the spout as an elevator, not a blaster to punch through. That's why there's a significant amount of delay between rising up and her getting through, as said post established. It's supposed to get her up just enough to punch a hole to get out. Of course, that's this Toa for you. Better two broken arms than getting captured by the enemy.

Again, in your own words:

OOC: No more warhammer swings for this Toa for awhile. Hmph.

And I don't see how she expects to get away when she's outnumbered and wounded. She won't be all that hard to track down. The smarter thing would either have been waited for a better opportunity to escape or not followed the creepy Skakdi-Makuta into the creepy building in the first place.

Further, lethargy or clumsiness would affect her movement, not her ability to use her powers. And to be fair, she did sleep off some of it.

As I recall, Ismekne slept for all of five minutes, if that. Snese set her on a bed, she fell asleep, and she woke up just before Sairaus arrived only a few posts afterwards:

IC(Ismekne): ...The shock of landing on the bed caused a moment of blurry thought, thanks to the fact that it jostled her wounded shoulder muscles. But thanks to the effects of Snese's and Hive's viruses, Ismekne was more than happy to take advantage of the soft bed and sleep.

IC: Snese - Containment Center

IC: Snese - Containment Center

IC(Ismekne): "I told you the army was coming," the Toa said...

In further case, if the viruses had that much effect, that Toa would not be on her feet right now and would have never gotten off that bed. And not just because this character is a strategist - it would be physically impossible.

This is exactly what should be happening right now. She was blasted repeatedly with enough virus to knock her out, and yet now she's causing all kind of mayhem. And I fail to see how her "strategic knowledge" would have any bearing on that.

I think everyone else has pretty much covered the main points, so all I'm going to say is this:

You continually try to pass off Ismekne as some kind of strategic genius, with great mental fortitude and brilliance in battle. But the fact of the matter is that none of her IC actions have reflected that in the slightest.

She walked alone into the enemy base and demanded that they take her to see their leader. After they agreed to do so, she attacked them because they said things that annoyed her, then blamed them for defending themselves.

She's continually made incredibly dumb decisions throughout this situation - walking into a gas grenade - using up huge amounts of her elemental energy on pointless attacks - repeatedly trying to hit a character who doesn't have a head, in the head - and attempting to use a heavy, two-handed weapon when she has a broken shoulder blade.

Ismekne - whether you thought it made sense or not - made a lot of stupid choices, which has put her in a position where she should be in no condition to fight or argue. Yet instead of accepting this, you're using rule of cool and whatever other rubbish you make up on the spot to try to justify your character being able to do things she flat out shouldn't be in any state to do.

IC(Ismekne): "Let's count." the Toa said, lowering the water-spout and then raising it up again, giving the ceiling another impact with a considerable gasp for air, panting. "I was just here to find out some quick and trendy information about this place. Apparently Mr. Virus Cloud here thought I was his latest experimental test subject, which he can go to karz for. Then Mr. Robot thought I was a problem just because I wanted to talk to Lady Sairus and find out what was up, and when I tried to shut him down for being an insensitive jerkass, he gave me a busted shoulder and knocked me out."

"Then we have the beast over there who thinks I'm an easy meal, and then there are all these other people here for whatever reason that ordinarily I'd be just so happy to meet. Unfortunately, they think that I'm a problem, that I cause chaos and destruction. Well they can GET IN LINE! She coughed, and the waterspout wavered for a second before she caught it again. "I'm Ismekne, Toa of Water, and I don't take well to being insulted, threatened, or injured. I'm not your experiment, I'm not your problem, I'm not your dinner, and I'm not going to lay down and die just because you tell me to!"

And with that, the water below pushed the Toa up, narrowly dinging a ventilation shaft before she crashed into the outside roof. But even the best planning didn't allocate for two broken arms and the inability to roll. Instead, she lay on the roof, unconscious, the hammer a short distance away.

You know what? I give up.

You're clearly just ignoring absolutely everything we've been saying in favour of whatever rule of cool nonsense you want to do. You're completely disregarding all thoughts of realism, the physical limits of your character's body, the effects of all the attacks she's already been hit by, and how a Toa's powers work.

Regardless, I'm going to list all of my problems with this post, in no particular order, and whether you choose to acknowledge them or not, I'm going to ask for some serious staff intervention here, because this is just getting ridiculous.

  • Due to having a swollen throat from taking two hits of Hive's virus, she shouldn't be able to shout, or talk anywhere near this much.
  • Having taking multiple hits from Snese's viruses, plus dozens of other painful injuries, she shouldn't be able to focus on giving a long, ranting speech and maintaining a gigantic waterspout at the same time.
  • Considering how Ismekne has been spamming high powered water attacks since she arrived, I'm not sure she'd have enough energy to form a waterspout and maintain it this long in the first place, especially without there being any water nearby.
  • Even if she could form a waterspout, Ismekne shouldn't be able to levitate with it. The only Toa from canon I recall being able to do this was Tuyet, who was using the Nui Stone to massively boost her power at the time.
  • I doubt the Containment Centre roof is anywhere near that fragile. Ignoring all my other points, Ismekne wouldn't have smashed through it - she would've been smashed against it and likely crushed to death.

If there's something I've missed, or something I've recalled incorrectly, other players can feel free to correct me.
