ROUND 5 ANNOUNCEMENT

Players of Bionifight Infinite! I present to you the Generals of The War Games:

The Host will be selecting Lord Halken von Zakaz III!

The Queen will be selecting Kopen!

The Enforcer will be selecting Noroi Shiru!

These three fighters will each be given command of an army for the War Games, and will be allowed to select two Lieutenants to help them lead their army.

IC announcements will be made later this week after each character has been informed of this decision by their respective Organizer.

Until then

Uh

Continue whatever it is you were already doing I guess

So what if Silvanni decides he'll have more fun playing solo against the other armies.

Can he spawn in the center of the map without a stronghold?

Or does he have to actually leave the stronghold and put some distance between him and everyone else.

Everyone spends the first week within their stronghold to make a strategy of attack, so he'll have to actually leave the stronghold when Week 2 begins.

IC Velix:

Velix stepped back several feet, deactivating the field as he did so. He aimed the railgun... And in the space of milliseconds, the Protosteel shell was screaming towards the enemy mech's head at Mach 3.

Who is he shooting at?

His last post had him facing towards Vinra - who is hidden behind a wall out of sight, therefore Velix couldn't possibly see its head - whereas Xara is right next to him, and since she's moving in slow motion, her back is still to Velix, so he can't target her head either.

Hoping it's not too late to get this guy in Wargames.

Name: Onaya Reoth

Species: Vortixx

Power/Weapon 1/2: Shield Bits: Onaya's primary armaments are 9 Shield Bits which can combine to form one complete buckler on his wrist. However the individual bits are also able to be mentally controlled by Onaya and hover around him. Effectively allowing Onaya to shield himself and his allies from any angle. However these shield bits aren't extremely large, only about the size of an average being's forearm. Thus without careful placement, it's very easy for shots and attacks to make it behind Onaya's shield bits.

The shield bits also have one final power when they have formed an even circle around an area. Namely within that circle all beings other than Onaya have their speed reduced and powers negated. That said the circle isn't very large, only able to contain about four combatants at max, and it is easily disrupted if even one shield bit is moved out of place.

Power/Weapon 3: A simple pistol capable of turning into a short sword.

Power/Weapon 4: The Boomstick: A weapon formerly belonging to Kellin, this Rahkshi Staff of Fragmentation, was looted by Kellin from a Vortixx during the infamous Siege of the Nuju-Marion Hospital. It fires purple bolts of destructive energy, which, as the name would imply, have the tendency to make things go boom.

Appearance: Onaya Reoth strikes a fairly tall figure. He has a lean figure that is in shape but doesn't have real defined muscles. His armor is black in color with white and icy blue highlights. His eyes always appear to be in deep concentration and carries himself with what appears to be a rather prideful stride.

Bio: Onaya Reoth had a fairly typical past. He washed up on the beaches of Mata-Nui with no memory of his past, and became another run of the mill hero for the Matoran.

Well almost.

Truth be told he never became a hero for the sake of the Matoran. In fact Onaya had very little interest in the Matoran or saving people. His fascination had always been with learning and acquiring new information. The only reason he became a hero in the first place was because of a certain crazy Toa he met. The being was impulsive, emotional and always spewing ideals of justice and heroism. The polar opposite of Onaya and despite the severe clash in personality or perhaps because of it, Onaya found himself fascinated by this self titled "Hero." Together the two formed a fearsome duo as they traveled the island in hopes of achieving the Toa's dream of a peaceful world.

Onaya was along for the ride and interested in seeing just how far the Toa could make it when confronted by such a hopeless situation. However it now appears Onaya may never get to see the end result. For it was during one of their many heroic quests that Onaya suddenly found himself plucked out of his world and thrown into the realm of Bionifight. Of course while he finds the concept of tournament rather fascinating and seeks to learn about all of the different people and their experiences, he is a bit worried for the sake of his friend back on Mata-Nui.

Personality/Other:  Onaya is rather intellectual being, preferring to calmly analyze the situation before jumping in headfirst. This can lead to him appearing rather aloof and arrogant on the outside. Indeed the condescending tone his words sometimes possess has lead to a few unfortunate misunderstandings. In keeping with his intellectual nature, Onaya always keeps his cool and makes sure to calmly reassess when the situation has fallen outside of his expected parameters. Indeed logic and learning are the primary focus of Onaya's thoughts and he makes sure his every action aligns with this train of thinking.

Can someone please give me a review of what has been happening this last 2 weeks?

Round 3 ended, the Mech round (Round 4) started. The Generals for the War Games were announced earlier today, and the Queen's Quest was finally resolved. That's about it.

On this eve, the thirtieth anniversary of that first colony, many are left to wonder; is the world fast approaching a breaking point?

Hey look another G2 Matoran.

Name: Intavus

Species: Villager of Fire(G2)

Power/Weapon 1: The rule of many: enables the user to create near endless copies of themselves. This power comes at a price, as each successive copy decreases the users(and copy's) power and ability to fight effectively. If used sparingly, can provide a great advantage in battle, but if overused, becomes all but useless as opponents find themselves able to decimate apparent armies.

Power/Weapon 2:Golden Mask of Fire(provides toa level fire powers)

Power/Weapon 3: A large two handed sword

Appearance: Sort of like a G2 Jaller. MOC: http://imgur.com/pxUsV3U

Bio: Quite simply, He found the golden mask of fire, put it on, and became a sort of villager Toa. And an instant celebrity.

Personality: Arrogant and egotistical. Not used to fighting beings of his own stature or taller, given his opponents consisted mainly of small, easy to kill spiders.

Editing Intavus to be more than a Joke character with an interesting power.

Name: Kale Ironshaper

Species: Toa

Power/Weapon 1: Kakama

Power/Weapon 2: Amulet that allows him to use his original Elemental Iron powers

Power/Weapon 3: Elemental Light powers

Appearance: Over a hundred years of combat and adventuring have left Kale in peak physical condition. His rather average build has filled out and his armor has been kept spotless through regular maintenance and repair work via his elemental powers. Due to his rather unique elemental situation, the Ironshaper has white as a primary color with a rather pale silver fading back into being as a secondary.

Kale's original calling as an artist shows through in the oriental style dragon that curls it's way across his armor. The claws of the dragon run to the ends of his hands and feet while the majority of it is gathered on his back. While not outright moving, it seems to change positions and shift slightly depending on the mood the the Toa feels.

Bio: Kale Ironshaper was originally from a universe where Makuta defeated the Toa Mata, kicking off several more hundred years where the villagers had to fight against an ever closer darkness. During this time the still sleeping Mata Nui started to create new Toa from worthy Matoran already on the island.

Two of those Matoran were Kale’s parents, his mother a Toa of Water and his father a Toa of Iron. Growing up, Kale learned about the strengths, weaknesses and mentalities of both elements. This and his natural talents caused Kale to develop a style of elemental control that blended the flow of water with the strength of metal.

As Kale traveled the island he learned from new teachers and incorporated more and more elemental techniques into his overall style. However, with these new techniques also came the virtues and frames of mind that so defined the elements. In time they also brought Enlightenment, and Kale found that his Elemental Affinity was slowly shifting from Metal to Light.

Not necessarily happy about losing something that had been a constant throughout his entire chaotic life, Kale began hunting for a legendary amulet said to be able to gift the user power over Metal. It was an extensive quest and one that took years to accomplish. By the time he had found the amulet, Kale had already fully changed elements and come to grips with the fact. Nonetheless, the amulet had been located and retrieved. When the new Toa of Light placed it around his neck his element did not revert to Metal as originally hoped, rather, it gave him the additional ability to control Metal exactly like it said in the legend.

Personality/Other: Simply put, Kale is a master with his elements and mask. His natural talent combined with growing up in a dangerous world has accelerated his growth far beyond what one would normally expect from a person his age. Despite this and his change in elemental affinity Kale is surprising normal. No massive changes to his psyche, the new dual elemental Toa  is still the same well mannered and pleasant person he was before the change.

Figured I should fix up Kale's profile. The only changes are to the Personality/Other section to better reflect the way he has been played so far.

"I serve the weak. I serve the helpless. I am their sword and their shield. If you want to strike at them, you must go through me, and I am not so easily moved."

Note: if Urashimako gets approved, he will not be participating in War Games.

Name: Soga Urashimako

Species: Datsue (BZPRPG Ce-Turaga)

Power/Weapon 1: Limited Elemental Psionics. Unlike the Turaga of Mata Nui, Datsue retain Toa-level control of Psionics when they pass into the final stage of their life (normally they lose their ability to use Kanohi in exchange, but Urashimako was able to restore his mask using technology from another universe). As such, Urashimako possesses Toa-level telepathy, telekinesis, and the ability to create illusions capable of fooling the eyes.

Power/Weapon 2: Alternating Masks. Due to a system similar to Suva technology, Urashimako is able to switch between these two masks almost at will, with one being stored in a pocket dimension while the other is active. He cannot use both at the same time, however.

The two Masks are:

  • Protector Mask of Water (modified). A mask identical to the one worn by the Protector of Water, modified to be compatible with G1 Matoran/Toa/Turaga. Offers limited control over Elemental Water (stronger than Turaga level, but not Toa level)
  • Mask of Pathfinder. Gives the user a sense of what route to take to reach a destination, provided that destination is "common knowledge", defined here as not a secret known only to a few beings, and the user must have a sense of the destination though they need not know it in and out. They are sort of the equivalent of GPS.

-credit to Bonesiii for the creation of this mask

Power/Weapon 3: Soulsword discipline. Urashimako is able to summon a Tsurugi-like blade formed from Psionic energy (think a Psionic Lightsaber). This psionic weapon eats up Urashimako's mental focus, however; he cannot use either of his masks with it drawn.

Appearance: MOC here (with Protector Mask equipped).

Bio: in times long past, before the days of the Empire, the island chain of Kentoku was the setting for an endless conflict between powerful warlords. Urashimako was one of these warlords, controlling one of Kentoku's oldest clans. Famous for his vast collection of mysterious artifacts, he was viewed with respect and fear by those of his opponents with more... Artistic tastes. During this time, Urashimako saved a strange being named Otohime from the army of a rival warlord. Said being later mysteriously disappeared, but not before leaving behind a note telling of a land called Aethion.

Eventually the times changed, and the Turaga of the Archipelago staged a coup. Warlords fell like stalks of wheat in the field being harvested, as the elders were able to convince the subordinates of the Warlords to rebel against their rulers. Urashimako, desperate to avoid a similar fate, used one of his most valuable treasures, a Kanohi Olmak, to flee the land.

Due to his lack of experience or knowledge of interdimensional travel, however, things went wrong very quickly, and after spending some "time" in the Void, he ended up being "copied into" a collection of universes known as Aethion, the same Aethion that Otohime had spoken of. After getting his bearings, Urashimako was able to settle into the city of BZ-Koro on Alarist. Keeping his Kanohi Olmak a secret, he was able to integrate with the culture of the world to a degree. Eventually, he reunited with Otohime and settled down with her for a time. But Urashimako's heart still yearned for Kentoku and using the power of the Olmak, he departed Aethion, sailing for home.

When Urashimako returned to Kentoku, however, a vast amount of time had passed. The Umbraline dynasty had firmly entrenched itself as the ruling power on the island chain, and all of the people he knew in his life were either long dead or on the brink of death. Urashimako was eventually forced to admit that there was nothing left for him here, and after a dangerous altercation with the Imperial Guard, he used the Olmak once more, never looking back.

Thus began Urashimako's wanderings throughout the Multiverse, the Olmak taking him to a multitude of strange universes, each different than the rest. History began to blur for Urashimako, for when one travels through different universes at such a high rate, each with their own calendar and passage of the years, time begins to lose its meaning. Occasionally he would return to Alarist, but most of his travels would take him to places he had never seen before. He even bore witness to several iterations of the Bionifight tournament. At some point in his journey, he passed from Dasaka to Datsue, giving up his Toa Energy for a cause he can no longer remember.

Overuse of the Olmak would eventually catch up with him, and at some point in time, it finally shattered, leaving Urashimako stranded on the island of Okoto. At first mistaken for one of the prophesied Toa, Urashimako was eventually able to dispel the misunderstanding and integrate himself into the Islanders' society, like he had done countless times before. Aiding in defending the villages against the Skull Spiders, he became something of a hero to the Islanders, eventually being rewarded with one of the empowered masks forged by Ekimu long ago.

It was at this point that he was brought to Bionifight not as a spectator, but as a fighter.

Personality/Other: if there was anybody who could plausibly claim that they had "seen it all", it is Urashimako. Having traveled through countless universes, he has seen several lifetime's worth of marvels; as such, there is little that surprises him anymore. This also means that he has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of the Multiverse's inhabitants, with no species being foreign to him (though he may need his memory jogged from time to time). He has a tendency to daydream a lot, reminiscing on times long gone by; this also applies to many of his nighttime dreams. Age and experience has turned him into a calm, collected, and understanding individual; he will rarely lash out in anger no matter how justified he may be to do so.

Advanced warning, Kopen will probably run from/attempt to stab Kalatin.

She doesn't like tentacles after the Queen's Quest.

Also, Jorth better watch his back. :P

She probably likes Psionically inclined tentacle users even less. Given Kalatin's inevitable sympathy for her, it will no doubt make for an interesting scene.

Also Ismekne better watch her back. Somebody put Dartakh on her team.

I think it's going to be a really fun round.

No matter; it's just one less character I'll have to keep track of in the round.

Lucina, here's your link to the post in question. Ironically, it was right above one of yours.

What if he got put on Dayeth's team, though?

They'd be too busy killing each other to do anything productive.

Lucina, here's your link to the post in question. Ironically, it was right above one of yours.

What if he got put on Dayeth's team, though?

They'd be too busy killing each other to do anything productive.

Ah, yes. My apologies; your fighters shall be added into the armies ASAP.

Are individual fighters allowed to switch sides during War Games? Just curious.

During the first War Games, no. I'd like to keep it as simple as possible for now so that we can find out whether this concept is even going to work. If the War Games turn out to be successful... well... having double agents and triple agents could be rather fun to work with. I'd need to find a way to make sure it wouldn't devolve into mindless chaos, however.

You can still betray your army in the upcoming War Games if you wish, but you cannot officially switch sides.
