I only asked because in canon, iron elementals can control/manipulate any metal.

It doesn't really make sense for all elemental metals to be within the purview of the element of iron, though. Mercury's a liquid at room temperature, Francium explodes as soon as it contacts air, Uranium causes cancer in organic beings, et cetera. Only certain transition metals really fit in the same "kind of metal" as iron, to put it crudely. Copper, Cobalt, Nickel, Iron, Zinc, Platinum, Silver, and Gold are all lustrous, solid, non-reactive metals of varying usefulness in weaponry, sale, and armor. If I were running the game, I'd probably be limiting Iron toa to these sort of metals and ionic compounds that behaved similarly.

Y'know, if you really wanted to get super sciencey about things. =P

Okay, I'll make a profile soon. I'm planning to import one of my BZPRPG characters. Does this equipment list sound good?

1. A longsword

2. Shield that can create a protective energy field like a Hau, but weaker

3. Protosteel armour

Yeah, that looks like it would work.

I'll start with this:

Character Name: Ismekne
Species: Toa
Power/Weapon 1: Standard two-headed warhammer.
Power/Weapon 2: Elemental Power of Water
Power/Weapon 3: Control over Electricity.

Appearance: Ismekne has dark blue and gold armor. She wears a powerless mask, and the bottom of her forarms are ridged and gray with black geometric designs carved in.

Bio: Ismekne was formerly a record keeper for a mine in the southern continent, until, as most of these stories go, she was injured in a mine cave in and sent to Karzanhi for repairs. It would a bit of a typical story - until the enterprising Matoran zapped the boat driver with her new weapons and sent him to the bottom of the sea. Then she piloted her way home, only for her home inhabitants to reject her new appearance on sight. She stubbornly refused to leave until a rogue Turaga showed up and promised that he could give her the power to destroy the entire land of Karzanhi.

Unfortunately, that Turaga is now dead. The local rumor, of coarse, was that he led the Matoran to a natural source of Toa energy. Ismekne, in her rage at being betrayed and turning into a "hero that could never kill or destroy" decided to do just that. What's confusing is how she ended up defending a fortress on the edge of the Southern Continent, or why she decided to get a warhammer. It's not very typical for a Ga-Matoran or the defenders of that fortress, who mostly resorted to bows and arrows. Of course, since the last being who did questioned that ended up smashed through two fortress walls, the subject doesn't come up that often.

As a result of all of this, Ismekne is stubborn, persistent, and ambitious. She also is a shrewd and conniving strategist. But her short temper is legendary, including the fine art of slipping casual threats of violence into the most oblique of conversations, and she does not take well to being questioned. About anything.

Fixed. Edited.

Looks good; you're approved!

Regarding the in-topic happenings, with the Enforcer & Queen affecting everyone so easily: for now, this is just because it's the intro scene, so that your characters can actually get the information that they need before running off to do who knows what. :P

E: @Tiragith: Xaeraz's explanation is basically what I would have said, except that with iron I'd personally consider it more along the lines of iron, silver, steel. Not much else.

Name: Glass

Species: Level 6 Rahkshi of Chain Lightning

Power/Weapon 1: Chain Lightning, Shadow Kraata level

Power/Weapon 2: Master-crafted Rahkshi Staff that can split in two and assembled as a glaive

Power/Weapon 3: Terrortooth, appears as a macuahuitl, like a streamlined club, as long as Glass' arm but thinner than a normal bludgeon. It has a row of spikes coiling up its thin sides, made of some black stone.

Its true power is in the blades, imbued with destructive energies that allow them to chew up anything they touch like a chainsaw despite them not moving. It however requires Glass' concentration and seeps some of his powers down to a level 4

Appearance: Glass appears as an average build Rahkshi, except scaled up a little. Due to an armour defect exacerbated by his fondness for books, Glass has mechanical trifocals implanted into his eye sockets. His armour has dark and black patterns grown over his normal colour scheme

Bio: Named after the first object he saw(a shard of the glass vat he shattered), the outwardly reserved and quiet Glass can be jolly and relaxed with his few friends in the Corpus Rahkshi academy. He works hard at his studies and tries to improve at his powers. After he left the academy with Xara, they have been improving themselves through fighting and adventuring far in the Southern Islands.

Until now.

Personality/Other: Glass improving and becoming the best he can be, and he does so through knowledge and learning. With the arena, he now has a harder challenge to overcome.

Well, presumably said character would die in a particularly horrific fashion.

Profile incoming!

Name: Tarsus The Inquisitor

Species: "Foa" (False Toa, a.k.a. genetically enhanced Matoran), sometimes referred to as Judges

Power/Weapon 1: Executioner - An extremely large, double-sided warhammer covered in spikes with a fully-functioning drill serving as one of the blunt ends. A launcher that shoots metal spheres serves as its pommel, though it only holds one shot and has to be manually reloaded after each use.

Power/Weapon 2: N/A

Power/Weapon 3: N/A

Appearance: Tarsus is a massive, Toa-like being covered head to toe in all silver armor. Spiked shoulder pads hang off of his extremely muscular physique, and his knee and elbow plating are designed to resemble elongated, upside-down skulls. He wears a powerless Kualsi that was reforged to resemble an executioner's helmet that conceals all but his red eyes.

Bio: Tarsus hails from a universe where Makuta Teridax absorbed the entirety of the Brotherhood of Makuta and usurped control over the Great Spirit Robot before systematically eliminating any threat that would stand in his way; the Order of Mata Nui, the Dark Hunters, and even the Toa eventually all fell before him while beings such as Artakha and Karzahni were also absorbed. Realising that the Matoran would attempt a feeble resistance of their own, he decided to create a brutal new species from among his subjects, altering them to appear as Toa in an effort to break their morale. These beings were soon deployed alongside the Rahkshi with the intent of rooting out any seeds of rebellion.

Personality/Other: Tarsus is an emotionless, cold-blooded monster. His primary directive is to seek and destroy, and the Judges that surpass him in this regard are few and far between. He has no memories of being a Matoran, and prefers to keep it that way as he feels that they are beneath him.

Name: Dartakh
Species: Male Vortixx
Power/Weapon 1:  Protosteel longsword, kept in prime condition.
Power/Weapon 2: Alrahmi shield: An ornamental, oval protosteel shield. It was forged out of two Kanohi Hau, and has the similar ability to create an energy field around the user, activated via a small button near the handle. However, the energy shield isn't as good as one projected by a proper Hau mask, due to being controlled by intricate mechanisms instead of pure mental willpower. While it can still absorb strong blows and attacks of any type, it eventually collapses and can't be recreated for a short time afterwards.
Power/Weapon 3: A set of protosteel armour. The set includes a chainmail shirt, a helmet, gauntlets, greaves and boots.
Appearance:He is average height for a Vortixx. The claws on his fingers are long. He is broad-shouldered and muscular beneath his natural armour, which is mostly black and dark blue. His eyes glow light blue. His back is riddled with green and red tattoos. His voice is deep and rough, and his body is riddled with numerous scars.
Bio: Dartakh is an experienced mercenary warrior. He is a veteran of many wars, and has seen much bloodshed and carnage over the years. He used to work with a group of mercenaries called the Shadowknife, but all of its members except for Dartakh were slain in an ambush. He was quite traumatised by it, because many of its members were his longtime friends. Afterwards he traveled around the world, fighting hundreds of foes and participating in many wars and battles. Perhaps he was taken to join the BIONIFIGHT because of his experience.
Personality:Dartakh is serious and cunning, and very patient. He trusts nobody, and lacks any sence of humour. It died along with his friends. Dartakh is willing to work for anyone who pays, as long as the work is about fighting others. He can't read and write. In battle, he is calculating, patient but also aggressive. He falls utterly silent during combat, and enters a martial trance. Basically it just means that his mind starts to purely focus on combat and nothing else. He usually spends a third of his day training, if possible. Combat and violence have become obsessions for him.

Pre-approved via PM, but I want y'all to bask in the glory of my imagination :P

Name: Olari the Iridescent

Species: Toa

Power/Weapon 1: Element of Magnetism.

Power/Weapon 2: Kanohi Akaku.

Power/Weapon 3: A quiver of metal poles slung over her back. Nothing special to them, they’re just a series of solid metal rods.

Appearance: A Toa of fairly average height, but a build that lies somewhere between ‘lean’ and ‘ripped’. While not bulging with muscles of ridiculous size, there’s nothing wasted or spare around the muscles she does have. She has a body that hasn’t been inflated, just honed.

In terms of coloration, her armour is predominantly purple, with highlights of white. Her armour has an unusual characteristic in that it seems to sparkle and flash different colours when the light catches it, as though rainbows hide just beneath the metal’s surface. It is this that gives her her epithet. Her mask is shaped like a Kaukau, with the visor acting in much the same capacity as the lenses of the Akaku it actually is.

Bio: Olari hails from a universe that died. Well, most of it died. The continent-sized robot lies cold and dark as the depths of space it came from…but the island it grew as a camouflage for its head stood strong and living. The surviving Matoran fled to this world of sunshine, refugees fleeing from a terrible doom.

But doom doesn’t give up that easily.

With the end of the world in progress, the Great Spirits clean-up systems came to life. The Bohrok swarms. They marched mindlessly on the island, tearing down and blowing up, destroying anything in their path. The best any Toa managed to was to slow them down, and in each battle they dwindled in number, the valiant defenders falling one by one in their efforts to stop the unstoppable. Eventually the Matoran were pushed back all the way to the glacial heights of Mt. Ihu, one last village with one last Toa. And thus a stalemate was reached. The Matoran’s position was too strong for the Bohrok to pry them from it, but the Bohrok were too many in number for the Matoran to fight back against. It was at this point that Opal was created. A gem that the last Toa poured all his energy into, becoming Turaga in the process, that would not not just bestow the energies of a Toa onto the destined, but reclaim those energies when the Toa fell in battle. And thus the stalemate was maintained. The village would always have a Toa, whose mantle could be passed on to the next even if the Toa were not there to bestow it themselves, a Toa whose every waking moment was spent in the never-ending war. Olari is the latest in this line, and has spent years fighting off the Bohrok. They come now in terrible forms, as mismatched monstrosities cobbled together from the bodies of their fallen brothers, as colossal Kaita built as much out of landscape as they are of Bohrok…Olari’s watch must be ever vigilant, her tactics ever changing, her strength ever ready.

And now this petty ‘Bionifight’ has torn her away from her friends, her charges, her home. She is alone, and her people are defenceless. Even if she were to die it may be that her Toa energy would not return to the Opal, leaving her entire world doomed. Returning to her rightful place is her only goal, and she will accomplish this by any means necessary.

Personality/Other: Fiercely determined and strong-willed, once Olari has set her mind on a path she will see it to the end. She tends towards an “ends justify the means” viewpoint

Name: Jorth

Species: Toa

Power/Weapon 1: Elemental power over Flesh; can control, create or absorb organic meat.

Power/Weapon 2: Kanohi Tryna, Mask of Reanimation.

Power/Weapon 3: A spear, the point of which has been lengthened and broadened and curved so the whole weapon resembles a scythe in which the blade is parallel, rather than right-angled, to the shaft. It can channel Jorth’s element but has no inherent powers of its own.

Appearance: When you hear about a Toa of Flesh with a mask that reanimates the dead, it might conjure up a certain image of what they look like. Tall and thin, perhaps, with features gaunt and sharp. Pale or even sallow in colour. And to be fair, most of those do actually apply. Jorth is almost unnaturally skinny, like a poorly stuffed scarecrow, but not actually that tall. And he does have bone-white plates of armour for gauntlets, pauldrons, cuisses and greaves, and a large breastplate, but the rest of him is a default greenish-black. His mask is shaped like a Great Miru and is the same extremely dark green as the rest of him, but features highlights of white that make out the pattern of a skull despite it not being as form-fittingly sharp as an actual skull-shaped Kanohi would be.

However if you were to meet Jorth then probably the most lasting impression left on you would be the coat he wears. It appears to be a long greatcoat, stretching from his neck to his ankles, with a mantle draped over his shoulders and some odd rattling tassels braided into the hem. Its only when you notice the strange dry hollows on the back of this coat that you realise that he’s not wearing a coat; he’s wearing a squid. Specifically, its a Great Temple Squid that he killed at some point in his career, and after some butchery and embalming he modifying it to be wearable. The ‘tails’ are actually its tentacles, the ’tassels’ are the beaks. While just being worn the tentacles blur together into an apparent solid, appearing like a normal coat…however when animated by Jorth’s Tryna it very quickly becomes very obvious what they are…

Bio: Jorth is not a malevolent sorcerer who took up a dark art. He is not some mutated freak who was forced into his element. He just happens to hail from a universe where the Makuta were given responsibilities over creating Toa. As a result of their alchemical and bizarre methods of creation, they ended up accidentally endowing the Toa with elements of a more…organic nature. Well, thats what Jorth believes. The other Toa in his team, one of Blood and one of Bone, believe the official line, that it was a deliberate choice that made it easier for the Toa to control the Rahi that were usually the greatest threat the Matoran faced. Either way, Jorth and his brethren act in the same way Toa of the mainstream universe would. They are protectors and guardians, defending the weaker Matoran from any threats they couldn’t handle themselves. Sure maybe you get some bad apples, Jorth was once forced to put down a Toa of Iron who’d gone rogue, but the same is true for anywhere.

Personality/Other: Jorth is kind of laid back and relaxed about most things, despite his threatening appearance. He finds the Bionifight distasteful, just because he hates being forced to compete and to fight others on pain of death, but masks it with flippancy and sarcastic remarks

Name: Rowan Nrvnqsr

Species: Former Toa

Power/Weapon 1: Shapeshifting - His body is composed of the primordial soup of life, the result of assimilating hundreds of rahi and beings over his life. He can assume their forms and physical abilities. Because of the nature of elemental or more unique powers, he is unable to utilize them

Power/Weapon 2: Familiars - The ability to allow a (single) lump or chunk of his body to separate and assume the shape of a small rahi for reconnaissance purposes

Power/Weapon 3: (Empty, I feel that the other two are plenty)

Appearance: A tall and strongly built being, appearing to be roughly Toa-shaped, though closer to a Skakdi in physical stature, size and stance. His hands, neck and facial area appear normal, deep indigo tones with bone-white highlights. His features are roughly hewn and slightly smeared in appearance, as if someone carved a beautiful and handsome face into a chunk of basalt and took a blowtorch to it for several minutes. He wears a thick gray longcoat over his body, which is decidedly not normal looking. It is best described as a roiling, self contained cauldron of pitchdark flesh and bleached bone. Whatever corporeal body he had long since lost in the turmoil. When shapeshifting, his form and appearance of course varies. The only constants being the pitch-like consistency and coloration, alongside his eyes, a very pale green

Bio: In his universe he was originally a self-described alchemist and/or scientist, though he leaned towards less credible ventures. He sought immortality above all else and in ancient eldritch tomes, found discussions and treatises of achieving never ending life through the assimilation and accumulation of other lifeforms. For many years, he did so greedily. At first gruesome, his technique grew refined and elegant. Consuming the flesh and life of all manners of beings. He eventually achieved immortality, though not in the manner he had once wished for. His consciousness and personality having became a gestalt amalgamation every bit as alien as his body

Personality/Other:  Nrvnqsr has a cunning and intelligent mind, even with it's convoluted and quirky nature. His weakness is an alternation of apathy and obsession over fleeting subjects, people, places and tidbits of knowledge or art. He can be talkative with given the right time and place. Couldn't really be described as good or bad, in a world of black, white and grey, he would be the orange

Name: Xira

Species: Unknown Shifter Race

Power/Weapon 1: Black longsword

Power/Weapon 2: Black Longsword

Power/Weapon 3: Shifting Ability(Transforms into a dragon-like beast. Only does so as a trump card. The transformation leaves him drained after he shifts back. Wounds don't carry over from his humanoid form to beast form. This power is STRICTLY a last resort thing.)

Appearance: Pretty tall and thin. Jet black armor. Can appear very intimidating.

Bio: Xira was more of a village protector in his home. He came from a small village, with the few beast shifters that survived. On his home, he is a renowned fighter, and is almost unparalleled.

Personality/Other: Male. He is usually serious, but he knows how to laugh at a good joke. A very fierce fighter, and generally shows mercy on downed opponents. He always enjoys an honorable fight. Rather like a tactician, and capable of quick thinking.

Requesting permission to join.

I would approve this, but my concern is over the sword that shoots lightning. If you recall, Voltex said that a sword would count as one, a sword that shoots fire would count as two, etc. and IMO that applies here. My recommendation would be to simply ditch the lighting power of the blade.

Alright, I'm joining too!

Name: Squid

Species: Rahkshi of Chain Lightning- Shadow Kraata

Power/Weapon 1: Chain Lightning Level 6

Power/Weapon 2: Sibling- a light double-edged sword that can split at the hilt to become a double-sided bladed staff.

Power/Weapon 3: Fireproof shield

Appearance: Squid looks like a Rahkshi of Chain Lightning with the usual color scheme, but is very short and probably only 5'10'' in the human world. His Kraata is special because it has four tentacle-like appendages that allow him to move at faster speeds to escape when his armor is wrecked. The have no gripping ability. Squid is lean and agile, and stands more upright that other Rahkshi. His armor is also slightly more detailed and complex than a normal Rahkshi. Pics to come.

Bio: Squid was just your average level three Rahkshi of Chain Lightning attending Corpus Rahkshi, a Rahkshi high school in the Matoran Universe. But then something happened. It felt like he has been torn apart, and he had. There was another Squid in his dorm, and the cloning had made the clone a Shadow Kraata. The two began telling knock-knock jokes to each other, but the clone was teleported away to a strange cell...

Personality/Other: Squid is a male, and is very very friendly. He dislikes fighting and is a diplomat. However, he is not a bad fighter and will fight only if it is the only choice. When he does fight, he makes it as fair as possible. Squid helps out his friends and his enemies, seeing everyone as good on the inside. He can be sneaky sometimes, like when he stole four weeks worth of free samples from a Matoran City. He isn't the best fighter, though, and sometimes misfires his powers.

I HATE SCORPIOS

 Approved!

Abilities: An extremely agile and fierce fighter. His race allows him to transform into an extremely powerful dragon-like beast. He only does so in dire circumstances. This power also drains him a lot after the transformation ends. His normal body retains wounds, but they don’t carry over to his beast form.

I would recommend rewriting this in the official profile form of 3 Power/Weapon slots. Helps us keep track of things more easily. I would also suggest that you give him at least some weapon since it looks like the dragon transformation (which also could do with some more detail IMO) drains him/is too inconsistent to carry Xira.
Basically, Xira not approved yet.

Approved! Not sure what to think of the backstory (knock knock jokes and shadow clones? ) but as far as powers and weapons are concerned, you're good to go.

I've gotta say, Jorth is probably one of the most original toa I've seen in a long time, especially with his cephalongcoat, to coin a phrase. I'd be interested to see how he fares against someone with even less flesh than normal, like Xaeraz or any of the hordes of rahkshi.
