Hey Daronus, just jumping in here with a friendly reminder. One of Maccha Yellow's powers is actually calling his attacks.

Power/Weapon Two : Calling your shots! If Maccha Yellow is able to call out or name an attack or action, it gains strength. For example, a simple punch to his opponent's guard might do little more than jostle them. Were he to call out AMAZING PUNCH, they would be hit with a far greater amount of force

I know that your character has no way of knowing this, but from your last post it seemed that you did not know Maccha Yellow was invoking his power with that yell.

"I serve the weak. I serve the helpless. I am their sword and their shield. If you want to strike at them, you must go through me, and I am not so easily moved."

Name: Catatonic(Kat)

Species: Rahkshi

Power 1: Fear Powers(shadow Kraata level)

Weapon/Power 2: up armoured chassis. Kat's Rahkshi armor is more heavily plated on the arms, legs and chest, with small blunted points extending from the joints. This increases her defensive an offensive capabilities.

Weapon 3: Rahkshi Staff of Fear

Appearence: Physically at her peak, Kat is perfection in Rahkshi form, with strength enough to match even a burly Skakdi. Her bright red Armor is accented with Black limbs, and tribal patterns like the shadowy tendrils of a Makuta.

Bio: Kat left Corpus Rahkshi after finding the School distasteful, and eventually returned to end a conflict that took her life. Or so everyone thought. Now she fights in the Arena, A life she despises, but excels at.

Personality: A tactician, skilled in many forms of combat, Kat is surprisingly easy to get along with. Loyal to her friends, and ruthless to her enemies, Kat will fight and die for what she believes in.

Reworked Kat's profile.

Also, Vorzin was KO'd by Tirkah.

Juts to make this clear to everyone involved: There's no obvious sign that Xara is causing the mist, as the mist isn't coming directly from her or the Gem, but simply appearing out of the air.

I'd request that anyone with posts that say otherwise to go back and edit, please.

This is something I clarified with Chro a while back over Skype: it's easier to use a Gem to focus its powers, but it isn't necessary to do so. Xara is making the mist appear out of the air rather than flow out of the Gem.

Name: Sevyn - The Protosteel Chef

Species: Upper Class Steltian
Power/Weapon 1: Two almost sword sized protosteel butcher knives, stored in his forearms. He can flip out his hands at any time for one or both of the knives, and they swing back and forth very quickly for sustained, quick chopping abilities in the kitchen and now in the arena.
Power/Weapon 2: Entree! This ability gives Sevyn the power to create a number of recipes that can create a variety of effects on the user or an opponent! Each entree takes 1 non-combat post to create (I.E., any post that he's not directly involved in fighting, but he can be hiding or running away). Possible Entrees are as follows: Healing Draught- Stops bleeding, restores some blood, basic healing. Cannot fix broken bones, armor, missing limbs, or death. Stupor Shots- Induces a drunken stupor over any one to ingest it. Can be afflicted in a more minor form if used to coat knives. Flaming Hot Peppers- Will cause a burning sensation in cuts when coated on knives. If ingested... say good bye to your stomach.
Power/Weapon 3: All You Can Eat, Guaranteed! This somewhat interdimensional chef's apron has the ability to pull any serving platter, plate, or bowl imaginable from its pockets, along with all the ingredients and dishes needed to create the most succulent foods on Stelt! Can be used for distractions, nourishment (though it's not going to instantly heal you), projectiles, flimsy defenses, and most anything else one would come up with in terms of food and plates!
Appearance: Sevyn stands impressively tall, tall even for one of his species, at a full two heads higher than the average Skakdi or Toa and can even peer above the head of a Vortixx. He is colored a deep maroon mainly, with some underlying black and a few silver highlights. Unlike Sidorak, he has no tubes around his head, just a great wide grin and a prim, perfectly white Chef's Hat perched on his head, raising his height even more. Covering a majority of his front is a large, long apron, that was once white but now has a multitude of stains crisscrossing it. The words '_______ The Chef' are still visible on the thing, which for all the stains doesn't show too much wear otherwise. His knives are kept pristine and sharp, with his arm acting much like a sheath when they're away. His deep blue eyes peer out from an overall friendly face, if a Steltian face could be called friendly. Well, at least he's better looking than the average Skakdi, or Mata-Nui forbid, a lower-class.
Bio: Sevyn's life has not been easy. He was born into the lower-upper class, a duo of spice-selling Steltians that were quite happy at their level. Sevyn had always aspired to be greater, and it was that and his passion for cooking that led him into the Cooking Circuits. It was a brutal time, often cooking to literally save your right to continue using a kitchen in the intensity of the Cook-Offs. Much like the Steltian gladiator battles of other universes, the Cook-Offs were brutal affairs with anywhere from 2 to 24 chefs facing off in a battle of the best meal. Sevyn was almost totally ousted from the Circuit after a brutal loss to who would become the 3rd greatest Protosteel Chef, Roddi Quay. However, he persevered and worked his way up the ranks until finally meeting his opponent once again in a battle for the title of Protosteel Chef. It was an intense, 7-course marathon of cooking, with randomly added ingredients ranging from Ruki fish in the appetizer to Morzubakah vine in the dessert. Finally, after all that, with the two tied at the dessert mark, Sevyn overcame with what would become his signature dish, 'Frosted Sweet Ice in Crispy Morzubakah Cone.' Thus he became the 2nd Greatest Protosteel Chef to walk the sweet-smelling shores of Stelt.
And then, just as he was about to host a smaller battle between two up-and-coming chefs, he was whisked away to the Bionifight tournament, without a fluffy egg in sight.
Personality/Other: Male, tall, strong, and handsome. His personality is alarmingly close to the Host's in some ways, with a booming, deep voice that seems eternally jolly and an easy grin, with a knack for describing what's going on and introducing things and people in dramatic ways. Sevyn will never back down from a challenge, whether it's directly against him or simply a challenge of his skills.

Name: Astaer, 'The Living Ghost"

Species: Korumine (Lariska's Species)

Power/Weapon 1: A constantly active Great Mask of Intangibility. This has earned Astaer her title, and allows her to be relatively impossible to hit with any attack. However, she can switch it off, but it requires intense concentration and a period of 2-3 seconds of transformation time. An exception to this is when living flesh passes through her, such as a punch or kick, which forces her into a solid form as soon as the flesh exits. (Caused by 'flesh memory', when her body feels how it should be it naturally reverts)

Power/Weapon 2: A protosteel trident, designed by the Nynrah Ghosts to be the absolute best fishing trident ever to exist anywhere (Adjectives may or may not come from the psychotic fangirl Nynrah Ghost of this universe). Once stabbed into something, it will not let go unless ripped out, extremely painfully, barbs and all. The barbs are retractable via a small button near the leather-wrapped guard.

Power/Weapon 3: Astaer is extremely nimble and quick, able to easily and casually do hand-stands and backflips without a second thought. Swimming comes naturally to her from her fishing background, and climbing does as well from scaling the sides of Odina most every day of her life. Her strength and speed are comparable to that of a Skakdi and Vortixx, respectively, making her more than a match physically for most Toa.

Appearance: Astaer stands a bit taller than a Toa, just a bit smaller than a Vortixx. Her ocean-colored armor coats her deep green body, streamlining it and seeming to absorb light rather than reflect it, which is only amplified when she's intangible. Her mask is shaped like a Tryna, with larger, more expressive eyeholes than normal, exposing bright, ice blue eyes. High cheekbones and a thin chin add to her ghostly, thin face, rounding out the deep blue mask. Long fingers, and an overall long, toned body emphasize her athletic abilities.

Bio: In the time before time, there was an unassuming isle of rock and cliff with but a single beach, and on that isle lived the Korumine.

They were perhaps a prototype Toa, for they could use masks but had no elemental abilities, but for whatever reason they lived and died happily on their isle of rock, content to live simple lives without conflict or strife. The strongest and most skilled of their number were the fisherwomen, who swam in the deep seas that surrounded the isle and caught fish with simple tridents.

And there were two sisters that were both fisherwomen, and they were perhaps the best among the fishers. But one happened to be better than the other sister, and more humble, while the lesser skilled of the two in fishing was ambitious and wanted to find a greater world outsider her home, climb the greatest mountains of the world and become better. And so that sister was shunned by all except her sibling, who was one of the few to talk to her.

Eventually, the elders decided to send out a single Korumine to experience the world and find better ways of doing things, and the first sister was chosen. Taking a name in the common tongue, Astaer left her sister to venture the world, coming across both her mask and her trident in her travels.

But when she returned, not all was well. The villages were empty. Her people, gone, homes destroyed with great lines of burnt destruction crisscrossing the land. Astaer's footsteps eventually drew the attention of the only being to remain in the village. Her sister.

Astaer listening with growing horror as her sister told a tale of two strangers coming ashore one day, looking for a place to put a base that would never be found, never be won by any other, and her sister, tired of her isolation and her state as an outcast, told them she would help secure the island.

Astaer listened as her sister told her that her name was now Lariska, Dark Huntress, and her first mission was to kill her sister.

She barely escaped with her life, but her boat was destroyed.

Astaer has now lived for hundreds of years, never again speaking to her sister, though sometimes Lariska speaks to Astaer. She wanders the island as ghost-like as one alive can be, and with a vow that she will never help anyone attack the Dark Hunters nor that she will assist them, the Shadowed One allows her to remain on Odina, a Living Ghost of who she once was.

Personality/Other: Astaer is a shy, untrusting female Korumine, who speaks less than she acts and does what she says rather than says what she does. She only speaks to those who she truly trusts, and once that trust is broken it is gone forever. The Korumine is extremely experienced in escape and dodging, due to more than a few incidents of Dark Hunters deciding that they were going to try to murder the sister of Lariska and win a victory over the battle-hardened Dark Hunter. None have ever succeeded.

Name: Kuro, "Fallen Light"

Species: Light Kurahk from a version of the Melding Universe

Power/Weapon 1: Light Level Peace

  1. Causes feeling of general ease in nearby creatures.
  2. Nearby presence can calm anyone with anger or otherwise emotions of ill will.
  3. Can make those with large grudges apologize and bury the hatchet.
  4. Can make others slightly pacifistic or slightly increase the willpower or focus of other individuals.
  5. Can calm the angriest of creatures or clear and ease the minds of several. Can make others willing to listen to opinions or think in others' perspectives. Can suppress hostile intent leaving them to only defend.
  6. Can completely take the anger and fight out of anyone.

Power/Weapon 2: Moral Light - He has unlocked the power to access his corrupted inner light. Depending on his emotions, his light will be strengthened or weakened. Basically the powers of a Toa of Light that is limited to:

  • Creating light
  • Controlling light
  • Absorbing light
  • Changing how others see one's body color. (The factor in determining the strength of his light.)

Power/Weapon 3: Staff of Peace in the form of a mace named Pacifier or a Broadsword named Willpower. It has a leather grip. He holds them in his room in the Comfort Sector and can only choose one before the next round.

Appearance: A white and gold Kurahk with yellow eyes. He's also heavily armored and looks like a Rahkshi Paladin. His armor glows naturally, but will darken in accordance to his morality.

Bio: Originally an elite guard of a Makuta in the Melding Universe, yet because of his power, doesn't know why he's in a fighting competition. Like the Rahkshi of Corpus Rahkshi, he is intelligent and can speak Matoran and more.

Some more backstory...

Kuro was one of many of the Rahkshi that were around when a virus broke out in the Rahkshi that made them grow a shadow that would have eventually leached off their light and killed them. And he was one of the recipients. Although he was lucky to survive, he was stuck with his fits of violence. When he couldn't take it anymore, his Makuta sent him to a Ko-Matoran monastery where he learned to put aside his rage and was where he adopted his white and gold paladin Rahk-suit.

After his failures in the last few rounds of Bionifight (right now), he began to show signs of a lack of self-restraint. This is due to Kuro accepting his inner demons.

Personality/Other: He's noble and has a sense of justice. Also is against petty squabbles and violence. Although he is for peace and not anger, he will fight if he deems it necessary. However, now he is not afraid to fight regardless of his morals at some points. He may also enter a moment of rage and violence.

Name: Aeolin
Species: Proto-Toa/Kraata Symbiote from the Rahkshi Warrior Universe-to-be
Power/Weapon 1 & 2: A Light Cyclone Kraata named Cyde. All Kraata in the RW universe have minor shapeshifting in order to be a prosthetic meant to be done to other Rahkshi. However, after word of a rebellion that was started by a Toa who's arm was replaced by apparently Light Kraata of Shapeshifting, many Light Rahkshi all over the land secretly sought willing hosts that were similar to the Toa in queation, and later, when these Matoran become Toa, these Rahkshi would stand by their side as partners. Now to function: The Kraata acts as a prosthetic and cannot leave its position. It's lifeforce is also linked to the host as Kraata in the RW universe can't last long on their own, and as such, since they are connected, they have a telepathic connection. When Toa dies, so does the prosthetic Kraata. Cyde is a Light Level Cyclone Kraata (at the same level as a Shadow Kraata) and thus has the ability to spawn powerful cyclones that can be controlled. Cyde may also transform into a cyclone to be used for travel. Cyde is attached to Aeolin's leg which was shot off after a successful fight against Makuta Bitil, Flyer of the Skies. Note that because they share the same lifeforce, they also have a telepathic communication.
Power/Weapon 3: Cyclone Boots - Spiked boots that he wears. His right one allows Cyde to not get killed as a result of Aeolus's movements, and provides vents for Cyde to turn into a cyclone. It's also made of tough material and the vents are small to prevent anyone from simply stabbing the Kraata easily. There are also small eyeholes for Cyde to see although he can already see through Aeolus's eyes by tapping into their shared lifeforce. The spikes are so they can kick people. Preferably in the face.
Appearance: A silver Toa with black and green highlights. His lower right leg is missing and is replaced with a Sand Blue Metallic/Light Gray Metallic Kraata. He wears the Cyclone Boots which are silver and green plated. Wears a damaged and unusable Miru.

Bio: Became a Toa when he was struck by a freak cyclone and he found himself in the possession of a Toa Stone. Life before that is not known, but it is confirmed that he lived in a monastery, was bullied for being a Protoran like Proto, and soon met and agreed to be Cyde's host sometime later. After being a Toa, he was picked up by Proto and Shift and joined their growing group of rebels. In a fight against Bitil, his leg was shot off, and Cyde helped him. After a few painful steps for Cyde, and the creation of the Cyclone Boots, they became a fighting force. Somewhere along the way to the next Makuta, he was whisked away. Because of the rules of AF Comic Universe, any disruption freezes time in that universe until they die in wherever they are or get transported back.
Personality/Other: Both male. Both of them are justice seekers. Yet Aeolin is more of a wait-and-see and Cyde wants to goes in guns ablaze. Like Proto and any other Protoran, he is sensitive to anyone who boasts about their elemental powers and has respect for those with physical ability.

Here come the reposts....

This is a character idea I've been wanting to play around with for a while now: an untethered Kaita that has learned how to manifest itself without the need for its original component beings.

Name: Dekako.

Species: Former Kaita.

Power/Weapon 1: Fear Roar: same as a power scream, it just sounds deeper in pitch.

Power/Weapon 2: Venom: Dekako’s fangs, as well as the claws of her smaller pair of arms, and the barbs on the final third of her tail, excrete a venom that cause an agonising burning sensation in victims.

Power/Weapon 3: Golden Anchor: this three-bladed, gold-tinged staff of lightweight protosteel is the one possession that has accompanied Dekako on all of her journeys.

Appearance: About three times as big as a Rahkshi, and much stronger, Dekako has a large, dinosaur-ish head and four arms, two of which are smaller and folded up under its body with claws not dissimilar to that of a praying mantis. Powerfully built and muscular, she’s surprisingly agile for a creature of her size. Her body is red, with silver armour and yellow accents, and she has a long, sinewy tail that’s ridged with spines.

Bio: Where do Kaita go when they’re no longer needed? No one knows for sure, but that’s where Dekako has spent most of her existence. Originally formed when three Corpus Rahkshi students – Hoto, Kat and Era – merged their forms, Dekako retains their knowledge and some of their abilities, but has since developed a personality and consciousness all of her own.

After the Rahkshi who’d once formed her went their separate ways, Dekako was left to rot, reduced to nothing but a fading memory slowly drifting in whatever void that Kaita inhabit when they aren’t needed. But Dekako’s will proved strong; she refused to fade.

Over time, she found a way to manifest herself in the corporeal plane, but soon after awakening in a new, unfamiliar world, she was pulled back into the void. For centuries, millennia, maybe longer, Dekako journeyed again and again into new worlds, only ever managing to stay a few days at the most before being ripped away once more.

Eventually, though, she succeeded in severing the connection between herself and the nightmarish emptiness that had held her captive for so long. She’d fought the universe itself, and won through sheer strength of will. She was reborn, a new being in her own right, no longer reliant on the whims of others. Finally, she was able to…

…be abducted immediately into the Bionifight facility.

Personality/Other: Having witnessed so many different things in more worlds than she can count, there is very little that can surprise or impress her anymore. She has a rudimentary understanding of dozens of different languages, and is fluent in some of the more common ones such as Matoran and Agori.

Recognising the important of patience, she is always careful and meticulous, never charging headlong into situations unless she has no other choice. Having been alone for so long, she has never been able to form friendships of any kind, so she largely keeps to herself. She harbours a bitter resentment for Rahkshi in general, and has nothing but disdain for other beings who have formed Kaitas, since she knows how it feels to be abandoned like their Kaitas have been or one day will be.

MOC: http://i.imgur.com/XXqWoLT.png.

Name: Falcon.

Species: Glatorian of Ice.

Power/Weapon 1: Whistler – a longbow that generates arrows made of pure sonic energy. The arrows are visible as slight ripples in the air, and they make a soft whistling noise as they travel through the air, hence the weapon’s name. (These sonic pulses effectively shake objects apart, by disrupting their structural integrity. However, because of their small size, the damage they do is localised).

Power/Weapon 2: Hunting dagger – one bio long, this blade is serrated on one side, and razor-sharp on the other, tapering to a deadly point. While he primarily uses it for close-quarters combat, it can also be thrown.

Power/Weapon 3: Vyne – this small, wyvern-like creature serves as Falcon’s constant friend and companion. Her feet are tipped with sharp claws, and her mouth is filled with needle-like teeth, but she is no mere animal: highly intelligent, she can fly, and communicates via chirps and hisses, which Falcon has learned to interpret.

Appearance: Tall, handsome and well-built, his armour is in various shades of blue, and he wears the grey furred pelt of an iron wolf over his back and shoulders. His helmet is in the shape of a bird’s head.

Vyne is a leafy green in colour, with silvery fangs and claws, a sinuous body, and glittering red eyes.

Bio: Once a hunter in the wastes of the Quartz Mountains, his duty was to keep the villages of the ice tribe safe from marauding iron wolves. On one such expedition, he came across Whistler, in an ancient weapons cache buried deep in a cave. After the reformation of Spherus Magna, he took to hunting in the newly-returned forests of Bota Magna, which was where he met Vyne, abandoned as a hatchling in the woods.

Raising her as his own, he soon discovered just how intelligent she was, and trained her to help him hunt by scouting out the terrain for him. As time went by, he became involved with the Jungle Agori, learning their language and culture and later negotiating on their behalf with the Toa Nuva and Ackar in selecting a site for the construction of New Atero. In the years that followed, he aided the united villages with numerous wildlife problems, taking on beasts many times his own size.

But while he has hunted many a fearsome creature, Bionifight will be the first time he finds himself facing other sentient beings…

Personality/Other: Falcon has never really been a people person, preferring his own company to that of others. However, he knows the dangers of being a lone wolf (like the one he now wears as a coat), so he tends to avoid working completely alone. Kind and considerate at heart, he doesn’t relish in the pain and suffering of his prey, so he does his utmost to kill with the first shot.

He is exceptionally skilled in close-quarters combat with his knife and his fists, having been forced many times to grapple with creatures that are far bigger and stronger than he, but he favours stealth and strategy over strength when he can.

_________________________________________________________________________________

Name: Miril.

Species: Toa.

Power/Weapon 1: Dual Cutlasses – matching blades of gleaming golden protosteel, Miril is exceptionally skilled in their use.

Power/Weapon 2: Fragmentation flintlock – shaped like a traditional flintlock pistol, this weapon is more than it appears. Firing powerful bursts of fragmentation energy, this weapon does not require reloading, but does take several seconds to recharge between each shot fired.

Power/Weapon 3: Mask of Reflections – this mask allows her to split her form into two perfect mirror images – one left-handed, the other right-handed, each one wielding one of her blades. If her flintlock is on her person when she splits, it will be rendered useless until she reforms. Any injury inflicted on one of her will be reflected on the other.

Appearance: The first thing many people notice about Miril is her striking beauty, but if one looks closer, they’ll see that all is not as it seems. Her years of survival and piracy have left their marks – her body is criss-crossed with scars, which she covers with a figure-hugging sailor’s outfit, complete with a fancily embroidered coat. Her swords hang from her belt – one on each hip – and her flintlock rests in a bandolier draped across her chest. She’s collected a few service medals – trophies from defeated opponents – and pinned them to her coat as well.

Having lost her powers long ago, she’s almost forgotten her old element, and her body and mask have faded to a dull grey, making her clothes stand out more than she does. Her eyes remain a vibrant green.

Bio: Originally an inhabitant of the Halkenverse’s Voya Nui, she nearly died in a skirmish that ended with her permanently draining her elemental energy in a nova blast, rendering herself powerless, and homeless, as her settlement was levelled by the blast.

Shunned by her surviving friends and family, she left the wasteland in search of adventure and acceptance, and was soon captured by a pirate submarine. She challenged the captain to single combat and won, thus earning the loyalty of his crew, many of whom still serve her to this day.

Over the years that followed, she journeyed to every continent, living on each for a few months to get a taste of their culture. She eventually returned to Voya Nui and settled there, but still makes regular trips to the other islands, sometimes for a friendly visit, others to engage in a little piracy.

In the middle of one such bout of piracy, she was knocked unconscious by an explosion, and awoke in the Bionifight facility.

Personality/Other: Despite everything she’s lived through, Miril is still has a surprisingly upbeat personality, and is a fun-loving daredevil at heart. Quick, nimble, and acrobatic, she relies on skill and smarts to outwit her foes.

Of course, like all good pirates, she loves treasure, and word has it that there are some really shiny gems to be found hidden within the Bionifight facility…

out of all the profiles i have saved up, this is the one i submit first.

shrug

Name: Dexund

Species: Kha-toa (Toa of Undeath)

Power/Weapon 1: Animatum Inanimata. The very fabric of reality cries out in agony as it is immobilized by the greatest traitors of all, kept from embracing those that it receives from other worlds, who come only to poison and pollute the bones of their forefathers who are yet unborn. The powers that be hear and grant a vessel of divine might the ability to pacify the mournful wails of the worlds and bring motion to their endless waves. Dex can animate inanimate objects to fight for him. The more animated objects he has, however, the weaker he is.

Power/Weapon 2: Phylacterium Vitae. A droplet of sorrow from the eternally crying gods of ages past, worshiped in black cathedrals by cults of unholy amalgamations of meat and mind and metal, twisted forms prostrating themselves before an altar that curves endlessly in on itselves. Imbued with might from those that preceded precession, it denies the abyss the power to claim those who tamper in things beyond their ken. Dex has a glowing blue crystal that hangs from one of the chains on his body. If he is killed, he can slowly regenerate from this crystal phylactery, as good as new. If it is destroyed, however, he will be instantly killed.

Power/Weapon 3: Ossa Unaerthed: A longbow, carved from the bones of an ancient rahi from a time when time was not, in a land where the world did not and could not be. It seems to waver in the light, bending away from it, and reaching towards the shadows as if to rejoin the body it once supported. Archaic magic courses through ivory runes engraved in the limbs of the bow, words spelling words spelling curses so old that no tongue knows how to read them. Every shot from his bow that lands tears at the victim’s soul, which does nothing in Bionifight, but is part of a slow process of re-killing the undead in his home universe. Here, it makes you feel a bit tingly in addition to lots of pain from being shot with an arrow.

Also, he uses barbed arrows with triangular heads, because he hates people patching up the wounds he causes.

Appearance: Dexmund looks like a personified illness more than a toa. He is tall and hunch-backed, his shoulders broad, his body covered in armor of slickly greens and oozing black. He does not have much in the way of visible musculature, making his gangly limbs look out of place on his frame. Chains hang from his body at odd intervals, one bearing a glowing blue crystal roughly large enough to fit comfortable in his hand with a bit sticking out either end. His right arm wears thicker armor than his left to protect him from the cord of his bow, and it is noticeably discolored where the string has slid along the inside of his lower arm countless times. As is customary for his element, his mask is carved in the likeness of a Tryna, although Dex’s is pitch black and covered in blazing white runes in an unreadable language.

Bio: In Dex’s universe, elements are as varied as kanohi are in any main universe, often lining up with an equivalent mask which becomes the symbol of that element. As a Kha-matoran, Dex worked in the crypts and cathedrals of his island, minding the relics stored there and keeping the undead that would rise from them at bay. When Mata Nui’s grace granted him a toa stone, he accepted it to the pride of his village, as fostering a toa is a great honor. His transformation was supplemented with gifts from the relics he watched over, the Ossa Unaerthed and the Phylacterium Vitae both granted to him by the Kha-Turaga who presided over the cathedral. However, during his travels to the city-tomb of Metru Nui, Dexund was swept away from his world to fight in Bionifight.

Personality/Other: Dexund is a quietly religious toa, who prefers to spend his time among the relics of the past than among the people of the now. This is due in equal parts to his personal preference for solitude and to the stigma attached to Kha-toa as harbingers of doom. He has, however, grown to enjoy his supposed role, and becomes quite the large ham among strangers. The bookish, introverted toa becomes a boisterous caricature of a villain, cackling wildly and throwing about ridiculous plans to fill the role he was pigeonholed into long ago. However, those who take the time to break through to him will find a very quiet, calm soul behind the façade.

Reworked Dex's bow based on feedback. Change in bold.

And, now, I have a mech profile for approval as well!

Mech Name: The B Side of the Moon

Pilot Name: Riss

Power/Weapon 1: Offender Stratoaxer. A mech-sized guitar with blades on either side of the body, the Offender Stratoaxer can both play the best music you’ve ever heard, and slice protosteel in two.

Power/Weapon 2: Bass Cannons. A pair of massive speakers mounted on mobile arms on the back mech, capable of massive destruction by way of sonic energy. Can be aimed separately, or focused on a specific area for stronger force.

Power/Weapon 3: The B Side can “record” another mech’s attack, then “sample” it for a short amount of time. After all, if you use too much, you’re plagiarizing. The B Side cannot “Sample” weaponry.

Appearance: http://i.imgur.com/iNQN9D4.png

Other: The B Side of the Moon is based on cover art from the album of one of Riss’ alternate projects, a band known as The Crast. Featuring such hits as “Steltian Bombs,” “Smells Like Toa Spirit,” and the ever popular “Bitil O’Riley,” The Crast’s debut album, “Destral Calling,” was one of the most iconic releases in the history of music in the Southern Islands. The Crast is the only group Riss works with where she actually goes by her real name.

Kuro tentatively approved. I don't want to see the peace powers being abused.

Aeolin approved, but again, I do not want to see the Kraata abilities being abused.

I'm sorry; this confuses me a little.

Let me get this straight: A small flying dragon creature has to take up two slots while Skull Carrier had three telepathically connected web-slinging giant spiders in one slot, and Donrioda's insanely lethal flying blender only takes up one slot as well?

I fail to see how that's even remotely fair.

OOC: Since they're on the same platform...

IC: Linear/Great Furnace
Being a shadow on the wall, the catwalk itself would do nothing, but I was more afraid of the catwalk's shadow. To rectify, I had to manipulate the shadow to be more dim, which in the world of a 2-D platforming would constitute as a cloud perhaps. I would continue to run away from good 'ol Laser boy. I had no chance fighting him without some assistance, as his lasers posed to much of a threat.
Naona ignited one explosion at Linear's position and another at the clone's. What's the response to being blown up?

Changes to Kat approved.

Name : Belitun

Species : Annona's Species

Power/Weapon 1, 2 and 3 : Æsahættr. A double edged knife with a dark wooden handle, the name comes from the word engraved into it. It's blade is approximately 16cm in length. One edge is the shimmery incandescence of starlight and has the ability to cut through anything physical. The other edge is honed to an edge so sharp as to appear invisible, this edge has the ability to cut through anything non-physical

Appearance : A shapeshifter by nature, she has assumed the shape of a Glatorian for her travels. Specifically, one of the lost Iron Tribe. Lithe, somewhat tall and athletically beautiful, she wears their dull gunmetal armor with a few pieces of sandy orange leather or thick woven cloth around areas where mobility is needed

Bio : When the oldest Great Beings were not even an inkling of a thought, she and her sisters had lived in peace for uncountable years. This was changed when one of their kind committed great and terrible acts, drawing the ire and reverence of the now many peoples of Spherus Magna. Rather than fight or scheme for power as her sisters did, she chose self-exile. Voluntarily locking away her powers, she trapped herself in the body of one of the lost Iron Tribe and took her only treasure with her to travel the various worlds and planes, seeking the dreams her kind desired through the form of stories and mutual connection, rather than through theft

Personality : Easily bored, wouldn't you be if you're lived uncountable years and had seen or read almost everything to be seen or read? She finds people to be the most original and interesting thing in all the worlds and enjoys interacting with them more than anything else. Said interaction is... usually, positive.

This was a pain to find and quote on mobile.

Also, I petition that her knife is sharper than Hubert's guy's katana.

...but close to it

Two new mech profiles for approval:

Mech Name: The Sky Queen

Pilot Name: Yoko

Power/Weapon 1: Black Air: otherwise identical to elemental air, the Sky Queen's air powers seem to be imbued with trace amounts of elemental Shadow; this causes certain attacks (mostly those involving compressed air) to leave behind purple tracers as well as help to solidify certain attacks (ie: Razor Wind, a ball of compressed air, etc.)

Power/Weapon 2: Sky Sword: a cutlass adorned with gemstones.

Power/Weapon 3: Flight. Similar to that of a Kadin's ability. It seems to be tied to the otherwise decorative wings on the mech's back; if three or more of them are damaged, the mech begins to lose its flight capability.

Appearance: The Sky Queen bears a close resemblance to a real, living Le-Toa, but is in fact a suit of powered armor. Six slender wing-like spikes protrude from the mech's back (akin to this.) A stylized Noble Ruru adorns the face of the mech.

Other: this mech armor was based off of the appearance and powers of Haruka Kaioh, Yoko's predecessor. Haruka's spirit will temporarily transfer from the Sky Cloth to the Sky Queen when the mech is active; as such, the Sky Cloth will lose its power for the duration of the mech's activation, returning to the Cloth if the mech is deactivated or destroyed. The mech is piloted via neural link technology, allowing the pilot to control it like they would their own body, with the senses of sight, hearing, and touch fully intact.

Mech Name: Aerial Artillery Fortress - Velika's Vision (VV)

Pilot Name: Tomo

Power/Weapon 1: Flight. It can hover close to the ground or fly up high in the sky.

Power/Weapon 2: Laser Cannon: Velika's Vision is capable of channeling Tomo's normally locked Light powers to limited degrees. The way it does this is in the form of a laser cannon with varying degrees of strength and firing rate; from non-lethal rapid-fire dazzling the opponent and messing with their vision to a massive but draining beam capable of punching through the steel plate of a ship, plane, or tank (think the LaWS but with a visible beam). The laser is fixed, meaning that Tomo has to turn the mech in order to aim it; due to the spherical nature of VV, this can land Tomo in some odd situations at times. As the laser is fueled by Tomo's elemental energy reserves, it is subject to similar constraints as if she was during her element directly.

Power/Weapon 3: Radar. Much like a (fighter) plane's radar in real life, VV is equipped with radar equipment capable of detecting objects within varying preset radii of the aircraft. It has two separate modes for ground targets and air targets. In addition to displaying the locations of objects on a minimal, it can also lock on to one target at a time, providing navigation help traveling to its location and highlighting it on the HUD when it enters combat range.

Appearance: a metal sphere with a very short cannon protruding from the spherical surface. Basically a giant Poké ball. Colored white on the top half, gold on the bottom.

Other: Due to the spherical shape of Velika's Vision, it comes with a panoramic cockpit allowing for a 360° field of vision along the x-axis; while it can also see everything above it, the bottom of the mech does not have any cameras. Also, as it is less of a suit of armor/mech and more of a flying artillery platform, it is much more robustly armored than the average mech. However, because of its weight, VV's flight systems have to work very hard to keep it in the air; as such, it is quite slow.

Changes from the original marked in red.

That was a response Nocton made; He was simply ignoring the being's remark.

I've been wanting a Halkenverse charecter for a while...

Name: Ferez

Species: Toa. Nobody is sure what kind.

Power/Weapon 1 & 2: The FIDAT, or Feraz-Invented Data Alteration Tool. A box on his right forearm, it projects holographic screen interfaces, which function like a computer, able to hack nearly anything that is not sentient, nor a contestant, and is electronic. It can also project scanning beams, which can be used to provide basic information about a target, or reveal Volitak/Huna/cloaking device users if pointed at them.

Power/Weapon 3: The Ferez Emergency Defence Device, or FEDD. It can project hardlight constructs. It looks like a box on his left forearm.

Appearance: A tall, lithe Toa with dark-red-and-blue armor. He has two boxes, one on each forearm.

Bio: Coming from Xia in the Halkenverse, Feraz used to operate a little hardware store. It got a decent amount of business, but nothing special. He aspired to build his own hardware, and eventually scraped together enough cash to build the FIDAT and FEDD.  In order to gain publicity, he learned to hack and joined the tournements, but gave up his dream of building hardware when he realized how much fun the hacking tournaments were. He suspected that the Bionifight tournaments, which were telecast there, were more fun(I think Xia in the Halkenverse has Bionifight broadcast? Vinra's profile said that, I think.) , but never quite got a chance to find out, busy as he was with improving every aspect of his devices. Now he has his chance.

Personality/Other: Feraz has a few distinct traits. FIrst of all, he is extremely curious, trying to analyze and study most everything in sight. He is extremely competetive, whether it is about building the best whatever it is, or winning a game. He is also a fairly social being, who will start up conversations and challenge people to contests randomly if he thinks it would be fun.

Both were on the same shadow platform. And the explosion affected the catwalk. Not the wall. The shadows were unaffected.

Edit: But I do realize that I made no mention to the explosion. Just the effects. I'll edit.

And to Lucina: Kuro's powers of Peace were already like that before. It's just that I put the list there to help me (and perhaps others) understand the level of his powers. I also mention in other posts in which he can only use the level 6 ability once or twice. I'll just add some limitation in on your behalf.

OOC: This is my first RPG so please forgive any confusion/awkwardness.

IC: Fota

Fota was making his usual run-around hunting for food. He mostly ate small ussal crabs, but would sometimes get lucky with a takea shark. He came across a cave. Not knowing the peril ahead of him, he went further and further down into darkness. After an hour in the cave, a light appeared. it was getting closer. Fota was frozen in his tracks. The light was a Nektann drone. It scanned Fota and showed a hologram:

Name: Fota

Species: Toa

Power/Weapon 1: Invisibility

Power/Weapon 2: Sword 1

Power/Weapon 3: Sword 2

Appearance: Black and Sand Blue w/ Black Kakama

Bio: Hunter Gatherer

Personality/Other: Male. "Lone-wolf" spirit.

Fota didn't know what this drone was doing or why it scanned him, but he decided to follow it. It led him to a hatch, but Fota couldn't fit through. He soon found a vent and snuck in. He saw Toa, Matoran, Makuta, and even Rahi to be what he thought was training. A male voice came on the speaker: "Alright fighters, proceed to the 1st floor." As the others left, a large 7ft creature with green armor and a gold mask grabbed Fota, and spoke with a low, thundering voice. "Where do you think you're going? You don't look familiar to me..."

"What do you have there, Enforcer?" The Queen came around the corner.

"I'm not sure, Your Highness. I found him wandering around."

"He's not a fighter," She began as she looked at the same profile the Nektann had scanned Fota for. "But he would make a good one. Take him downstairs."

Before he knew it, Fota was drafted into some underground fighting club.

1. Welcome to the forum, Fota!

2. Character profiles must both be submitted in the Bionifight Infinite Discussion Topic (a.k.a. here) and and obtain approval from a GM before posting over in the IC Topic.

3. Contestants, upon approval, are teleported into the Bionifight Facility. This is the only way in, as the three characters running the place decide whether to abduct people or not, and it should be noted that new arrivals don't enter a match if they appear during its run.

4. Bunnying characters without player permission isn't allowed, and neither of those two are available at the moment; The Queen's currently running a Gem Quest down in the tunnels, and The Enforcer is currently competing in the arena.

5. I'm actually unsure if Bionifight has Nektann drones, but I'm sure someone will say something about it eventually.

Hope this helped!

The explosions were aimed at their positions on the wall, not the catwalk.

The laser blast sheared the catwalk above Linear and his shadow.

Looks like I'm a little late to the party, but I didn't have the time to repost before.

I need to stop...

Name: Sesdec

Species: Toa of Paper (or Parchment, as he continues to insist)

Power/Weapon 1: Elemental mastery of Paper, encompassing the creation, manipulation, and absorption of paper of all forms. Example usages include deadly blades, giftwrap traps, and spitball weaponry.

Power/Weapon 2/3: “Spark of Creativity” - By constructing shapes in his paper, whether by ripping, folding, or adhering, Sesdec can imbue those flimsy paper creations with a mimicry of their physical counterparts. Blades become firm and acuminous, spitballs travel at near the speed of sound and bore into armor, cardboard armor takes on the strength of protosteel, and origami cranes flutter about, disrupting his foes. Creating such constructs requires perfect calm, a rare state for Sesdec, as well as time and energy to maintain. The burden of five constructs is as much as he is able to bear before they crumble into inanimate scraps once more.

Appearance: Upon seeing Sesdec, one is reminded more of a child’s drawing than a heroic Toa. His limbs hang, thin and wiry, from a gaunt and frail body with an immense head resting upon narrow shoulders. ‘Tis true he was built more for quiet contemplation than warfare, but do not allow his appearance to mislead you. His angular, centripetal armor is colored in daubs of ivory and aged parchment, as an ancient wall of post-it notes on the verge of collapse, and his constant shifting seems to only enforce the comparison. His mask and armor are adorned in smooth covers of maroon leather, providing a hint of stability.

Bio: Sesdec does not speak much about his home. Perhaps that is because there is something remaining there that he yearns for dearly… or more feasibly, your knowledge encompasses all of his own. He was always a gentle spirit, more content with the company of novels than that of his fellow beings. Those that know him often ponder if he is still living, until their doubts are assuaged on the exceedingly rare occasions he is seen outside. Their boisterous greetings generally startle him into remaining indoors for months after. It is doubtful any miss him while he is so misfortunately placed in the Bionifight Tournament.

Personality: A tournament of worthy opponents and, Mata Nui forbid, social interaction is hardly befitting one of Sesdec’s demeanor. He could very much be described as the antithesis to sociable. He is skittish, perhaps too liberal in application of his element, and speaks in a quiet stutter when words can be dragged forth from his lips. Despite his nervous appearance, there is something of a hero in Sesdec, absorbed from his readings of the Toa of Olde. He strives to be honorable in his dealings and combat, though he will not flinch from using the tools given him.

Neither, Tiragath.

I've been having some trouble figuring out what to write for the past few days (hence why there are also no new Amorigiahna or Tarsus posts), so that's why I haven't replied. It happens on occasion, but it's been occuring more frequently lately, and it hasn't just been effecting my characters here either. Since pretty much everything I write up is done on the spot, nothing ends up getting posted if the creative juices don't start flowing, and right now, they just don't feel like they're there at all.

I'll try to belt one out now, but I don't think the battle is going to conclude before the round ends. Sorry for keeping you waiting.

Mech Name: Seraphiel Armour

Pilot Name: Harami/Galaxia Eternis

Power/Weapon 1: Light Blades (Two blades made of hard light can be activated from the Mech’s wrists, allowing for quick and deadly melee attacks)

Power/Weapon 2: Emulated powers of light (Very Similar to a Toa of Light’s powers, but is unable to use nova blasts or absorb light, and extent of powers is not as varied as the Staff of heaven)

Power/Weapon 3: Photon thrusters (Four boosters, two on legs, two on back, which provide flight for the mech, allowing it to soar into battle quickly, and make a quick escape before things get too hairy)

Appearance: The mech is humanoid in appearance, and constructed from Gold and White Orichalcum. Two Wing-like struts extend out the back, and the pilot is positioned in the main torso, with a small viewport for the Pilot.

Other: The Mech requires no complicated controls, and can be piloted by the user’s own thoughts.
