Sorry for the delay Turaga, RL and unreliable internet held me up.

Round III: Of Ambushes and Failure

Kopekemaster bedridden having been taken ill by an unknown affliction; well, the person hanging around Kopeke’s cell knew what was harming him.  Lucina had managed to put poison in his enemies’ food—the poison more or less incapacitated Kopeke, but Lucina wanted to deliver the death blow up close and personal.

And he probably would have, if Axilus and Luroka had not ambushed the poisoner.  The former moved in and swung his fist at Lucina, namely his face, who ducked out of the way just in time.  Luroka attempted to kill Lucina with an equal blunt method, the Cudgel of Betrayal, he attacked but once again Lucina was 3fast5them.

Quickly realizing he was unmatched for this coordinated offensive and fled for safety with both attackers in hot pursuit.  Luroka was just about to smack his prey upside the head when an icy projectile entered stage left and blew Luroka to pieces—The Forgotten Warrior had succeeded.

After seeing his partner blown to bits Axilus turned and ran, signaling an end to the hunt for the night.

The Forgotten Warrior was looking over his handiwork when the Gukko Lord came upon him and delivered his trademarked GUKKO PUNCH crushing Forgotten’s who knows what.  Gukko Lord had scored his second kill of the tournament.  The night of fists and ice grenades was over and the hunters prepared for another round of arena matches.

TL;DR

Lucina failed to kill Kopeke with Poison (poison duh)

Gukko Lord killed The Forgotten Warrior with a GUKKO PUNCH (blunt object)

Axilus failed to kill Lucina with a fist to the face (blunt object)

Luroka failed to kill Lucina with the Cudgel of Betrayal (blunt object)

Forgotten Warrior kills Luroka with a China Lake Grenade Launcher with boosted ice (explosive)

Kopeke sat it out.

So, Kopeke, Lucina, Luroka [Nope], Axilus and Gukko Lord are the remaining players, but this is an even-numbered round, meaning that Luroka and Lucina need to pm their elemental choices for the final match to decide the winner of Hitman, but since Lucina is the last member of the tournament he automatically declared the winner.

Epilogue:

Due to a clerical error, the four remaining wannabe hunters were assembled in the gym for another round of arena matches; of course, it soon dawned on everyone that only the hunter Lucina was still in the tournament.  Thus, Lucina was made the winner by default--his anti-climatic victory was at the very least a testament to his eerie invincibility.  That night, Lucina was officially inducted into the Dark Hunters and Kopeke, Axilus, and Gukko Lord were sent home in disgrace.

The End

Alright, sorry about the delay for an ending scene about as epic as the game's actual ending, but I wanted to give the game some closure.

With that out of the way, are there any takers for the next game?  Or should we just skip XVIII and let Lucina start XIX?   :P
