Years ago, I bought a used Battle of Metru Nui playset of ebay. It was missing several parts, and since i didnt know what Bricklink was at the time, I got my replacements directly from Lego. One part was the golden Visorak head. Lego had sent me 2, one was flat gold which was standard at the time, the other was the pearl gold released the following year. https://www.flickr.com/photos/130772837@N04/16629839281/https://www.flickr.com/photos/130772837@N04/16443943090/ My question is, how common was pearl gold in this piece? Ballom Nom Nom Posted February 24, 2015 Share Posted February 24, 2015 Both of those Visorak carapace pieces are relatively rare in that color, due to it only being released on the Battle of Metru Nui set. Sumiki Posted February 24, 2015 Share Posted February 24, 2015 To add a little more chronology to Ballom's post: the lighter gold was the standard for 2006 onwards but was in fact put into the color palette before the 2005 sets stopped production. I've never seen a Visorak carapace in that shade, but the gold Kraahkan used in the Tower of Toa playset from the same year come in both varieties. (Pearl gold refers to the gold used from late 2005 onwards, e.g. Brutaka. Was it the 2004 flat gold Vahi you're talking about?) Both of those Visorak carapace pieces are relatively rare in that color, due to it only being released on the Battle of Metru Nui set.
