Hapori Tohu
After the press conference this morning, LEGO has shared some of their 2014 results. Compared to 2013, LEGO increased their sales in 2014 by 15%, well above the toy industry average. They experienced growth in all their markets, had zero product recalls for the fifth year in a row, and grew their staff by nearly a thousand. In addition to core themes like City, Friends, and Star Wars, a large part of the success was attributed to The LEGO Movie, unsurprisingly. It's great to see the company continuing to do so well, and let's hope a year from now that Bionicle gets a mention as a top theme! Toa Smoke Monster
This doesn't surprise me, with the Lego Movie coming out last year. That probably helped in Lego's growth last year. Hopefully Bionicle helps Lego to continue its growth this year. Quote Everyone is one choice away from being the bad guy in another person's story. Rooster Nui
This doesn't surprise me, with the Lego Movie coming out last year. That probably helped in Lego's growth last year. Hopefully Bionicle helps Lego to continue its growth this year. The Lego Movie definitely helped with growth, and so did the recent years of great innovation. I two, hope Bionicle helps with even more growth, but I don't think it'll be at a greater extent than most other Lego themes. I say this because I feel that Bionicle isn't quite "rocketing" off like it was said to have done in 2001. Saying that however, we're only just going into March, so hopefully in time I'll be proven wrong (hopefully I'm wrong now) and Bionicle will be blasting off again like Team Rocket. Anyway, it's great to know that Lego is continuously getting better and bigger all the time. Edited February 26, 2015 by Rooster Nui
