I think there was some sort of S&T contest to recap the 2001-2008 storylines because Bionicle was getting a "reboot". Turns out that reboot was actually just a last-ditch and unsuccessful attempt at preventing a 5 year hiatus. If you made something for the current Bionicle line, I would think that'd be its own video, unless LEGO decides to tie this version into the last one, which I'm not sure how they could.
