The conquerer casts shallow words into

His subject's mind, thus forming figments fraud
To carry on the lies, deceive, and play God.
Histr'y, written wrong, and what now is true?
Can textbooks lie although they never knew?
Constructed fables of the men of old,
Though misguided, what truth might they still hold?
Can truth be singled out, our minds construe?
But what is truth but justice, pure and sweet,
Which some abases, elevates others,
To each man dealing what his actions earn.
With truth denied, is justice incomplete?
Where rulers write the words we read, we learn
That justice dies, and in us discord stirs.
A sonnet I wrote a while back.

Nice! You've captured the thought that truth as an ideal is, at its basis, only found in our heads, and done so very well! 'Tis a very interesting discussion point captured in thy prose. Keep up the good work!
