DTCulliton
Ok here is just a little thing that I noticed when I was rebuilding Vezon. Where did his cape come from? Did he just defuse from Vezok with it? Or did he buy it on Voya Nui on his way to the Ignika? If Greg Farshtey answered this then please let me know because the idea that the cape is a part of Vezon, literally, is just terrifying. Hellyam
I think that the cape for Vezon was put there for decoration. It's highly unlikely that the cape was a part of Vezok, as the implication is rather disturbing. 1 Quote GENERATION 4: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Cwog
Yeah, I agree with Hellyam. The Vezon set itself was kind of bare, so I suppose they thought a cape would make him look cooler. In their defense, it did, so yeah.
fishers64
Probably stole it off some unlucky Ga-Matoran in Voya Nui. I mean, they were all enslaved on the mountainside, so their huts in town were abandoned. Rather easy to march into someone's house and walk off with a piece of cloth. 4 Quote Hero Factory RPG | Bionicle Mafia XXIX: Storyline & Theories
Ballom Nom Nom
It seems fairly obvious that a being wouldn't spring into existence with a cape attached. The simplest explanation would be that he picked it up somewhere, presumably from materials of the Matoran of Voya Nui. ~B~

I don't think it's possible that Vezon was created with a cape. He must have found a cloth in a Matoran village and took it in place of his lack of spine. Maybe he tries to not look like a deformed, "spine-less" freak. (Get it? LOL.) Well, however, he is crazy because his species would still know that he doesn't have a spine. 2 Quote I like Lego, Bionicle, and Hero Factory! Arcee
i mean it's possible he bought/found/made the cape but i think it'd be better if he was just created this way. like vezok looks at his un-fused clone and just KNOWS this guy has gotta be evil because he's got this creepy cape. it'd also be pretty funny if the cape was part of his mask of life mutation. as if being permanently attached to a cursed mask wasn't enough, now he's got a flesh-cape growing out of his back
Akavakaku
I assumed he tied a large rag of sailcloth or something left behind on Mata Nui around his neck. 2 Quote ( The bunny slippers hiss and slither into the shadows. ) -Takuaka: Toa of TimeWhat if the Toa you know best were not destined to be? The Hip Historian Iaredios
Found it in a village? I wasn't aware Matoran wore clothes. The Matoran probably wore capes and blankets when it got cold. Remember that outside of the volcano and jungle regions were pretty cold, the Voya-Nui coasts being brimmed with ice. EDIT:I assumed he tied a large rag of sailcloth or something left behind on Mata Nui around his neck. i also like this idea. The Matoran of Mata-Nui were abruptly forced down below into Metru-Nui after the Makuta blocked the main passage back to their homes, there was bound to be plenty of MNOG2 stuff lying about (as well as village ruins from the Rahkshi attacks) by the time Vezon and Friends walked about Mata-Nui. The 1st Shadow
Probably stole it off some unlucky Ga-Matoran in Voya Nui. I mean, they were all enslaved on the mountainside, so their huts in town were abandoned. Rather easy to march into someone's house and walk off with a piece of cloth. Um... No.... Vezon got to Voya Nui ahead of the other Piraka. He was already hanging with Fenrakk while the other Piraka were building their fortress, which came before the possession of the village. Their village would have been filled with open eyes. Anyway, I'd assume he picked it up on the way off Mata Nui. The Matoran would have left behind any unnecessary items, which might have included a torn sailcloth. Similarly, it could have come from some abandoned outpost between his landing on Voya Nui and the entrance to the 777 Stairs. 1 Quote ~Your friendly, neighborhood Shadow ~Credit for Avatar and Banner goes to NickonAquaMagna~
fishers64
Correction taken. Or he could have found it in the Makuta's lair. Not sure why Makuta would have a cloth thing lying around through. It's also possible the Mask of Life transformed him so he had the cape. Not sure why it would do that though. Sir Kohran
Do we know why he wore a cloak to begin with? It has always stood out to me as pretty much the only example of a piece of clothing in a Bionicle set.

Yeah, the same part appears in that set, though I don't know why, given that it's too small for such a huge figure and almost impossible to see from the front. Archon~
Maybe he just grabbed it out of Mangai, or the OoMN member Toa Canister, or found it on Voya Nui. All three are equally as likely IMO. s to why he wears one, I would imagine it gives him some sort of security to hide his back since he has no spine? I mean he is the brighter side of Vezok, and if I was smarter than the average Skakdi I would freak out if I disn't have one of my species defining features and try to cover the embareasement.Or maybe he just wears it cuz he wants to feel powerful and great, which is ironic given his powerless nature, since, you know, he's crazy and all. 2 Quote Archon *** "For one to truly feel alive, the person must kill oneself a little bit each and every day." Nidhiki of the Shadows
Looks pretty rough, wouldn't be surprised if it was just ragged cloth he found on the ground or during his brief time on Voya Nui. Regardless, it's not something that really warrants an explanation - it's a aesthetic decision imparted on the set by the designers and nothing more. -NotS

SPIRIT
Well he certainly did not get the cape from Edna Mode. But in all seriousness, that's a good question. Fabric is very rare in the Bionicle world, clothing even more so. Not sure that a story explanation exists, What makes the most sense to me is that is was either something he found on his way to the Mask of Life or it was something the Mask of Life gave him (perhaps to make him a more imposing guardian??). 8 Quote ~ The Jazziest JtO Spoof ~
