Keychains

What are your thoughts on Lego keychains? Do you have any, and can you name them?

 

I like the minifig keychains. I have a few of the older Star Wars minifigs as keychains as well as Johnny Thunder, and more recently the Titanium Ninja. I have those last two on my music bag atm.

Back at the dawn of Lego computer games, my family made a whole lot of calls to customer service about glitches and bugs. And I quickly learned that Lego customer service was generous—any time we had a problem they couldn't resolve, they'd send us a minifig keychain for our troubles.

 

Generally these days I don't get keychains, because attaching them to a frequently used backpack tends to create a lot of wear and tear. I much prefer the large-scale "Key Lights"—while not actual Lego, they can take more of a beating, and provide a useful function to boot. My Unikitty key light has been serving me well for over a year now, and I try to carry it with me whenever I wear a backpack or coat.

I never really collected lego memorabilia, just bricks and bionicle for me.

I have the 2x4 red brick keychain and a Lloyd yx keychain. Both are on my key ring. I like to sit and stand Lloyd in the brick a lot. Lego keychains rule.

I think Lego keychains are cool. I only have one though; a gold Lego brick keychain. And I only got it so that I could get the Bionicle Hero Pack. But I'm still very happy that I own it.

I think of Keychains are a very pointless thing and I'm not thinking of getting any. But I did have the gold minifigure key chain but almost all the gold is scraped off and one of the arm is missing.

I had a Hermione (Harry Potter) Keychain, but I really wished I could take out the little metal bits so she could be a regular minifigure. Also, I had a black and gold astromech droid keychain, but the head was glued on backwards. It drove me nuts.

I just attached a new Titanium Zane keychain to my backpack. I picked it up at the Lego store a few weeks ago, considering how much I loved the character as well as the new minifig's design.

 

It's the first traditional minifig keychain I've gotten in many years. We'll see how well it holds up... but at least it doesn't have a cloth cape like Robin or shoddy printing like Spongebob, and considering that my backpack has fewer miles on it than my grade-school backpack that carried my previous keychains to and from school every day, Zane may well have more life in him than my old keychains could have ever hoped for.
