More Errors in the Comics

A few days ago, another topic like this got closed because someone necro'd it. I figured that there should be another one, since I just now found an error:

Sorry for the poor quality.

Pohatu is wearing a Miru Nuva. I'm pretty sure they hadn't collected the masks yet, but I may be wrong. This may also be an artists error too, as they may have misinterpreted "Lewa and Pohatu, combine your powers!"

UPDATE 3/21/15: Thank you to Dragon11603 and Sir Kohran for pointing out additional things. There's also another one I found.

In two Panels of The comic

The end of the Toa?

Tahu is also wearing the Miru Nuva.

In the very first comic, Matoro's Akaku that should've been blue is instead white, and he ends up looking almost like an infant version of Kopaka. The comics continued this white mask appearance in the Challenge of the Rahi one-off and as late on as the Bohrok Kal attack.

And here's another one I found:

It might just be the weird angle, but I think Kopaka is wearing a Hau.

Basically, this is continuation of the old thread: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/8758-errors-in-the-comics/

What does interest me is that the Matoran uses the Metru thigh with the slits on the sides, but the Metru thigh pieces used in 2008 and onward had no slits. And everything else about the drawing looks pretty similar to the set version of him.

However I think it was determined that Velika was a Great Being after The Powers that Be was ended, so it might just be a really lucky coincidence.

I imagine the artist knew they had to draw a generic Matoran, so they used Velika as reference. As you say, it's doubtful the artist knew there was anything special about Velika as a character. And many comic artists can't just make up a completely original BIONICLE character off the top of their head. Frankly, Stuart Sayger is pretty much the only BIONICLE comic artist who even tried, and while some of his made-up characters look reasonably authentic, others barely fit the style of the official characters (remember the utter weirdness that was the Mask of Conjuring).

That reveal always felt odd to me.

It was kinda odd, being the reveal to a cancelled poll. Also, Salvus, you're the poster child for "Gen1 is the only one", so I'm not sure if it even counts in the hard line G1's case

:r: :e: :g: :i: :t: :n: :u: :i:

Elemental Rahi in Gen2, anyone? A write-up for an initial video for a G2 plot

I really wish everyone would stop trying to play join the dots with Gen 1 and Gen 2 though,it seems there's a couple new threads everyday and often they're duplicates of already existing conversations! Or simply parallel them with a slightly new 'twist'! Gen 2 is NEW, it is NOT Gen 1 and it is NOT a continuation. Outside of the characters we already have I personally don't want to see ANY old characters return. I think it will cheapen the whole experience to those of us familiar with the original line...

Matoro's mask was blue in "Challenge of the Rahi" -- it was just a very light blue. Presumably, the artists realized their mistake from the first comic, and in "Challenge" wanted readers to be able to connect Matoro to both the set depiction and his earlier comic depiction.

doesn't excuse reverting him to all-white in "Divided We Fall," though

Thank you for reminding me of that. I knew there was another thing wrong in that comic. I'll put a picture in the original post.

Oh yes Vanson, Kopaka isn't wearing a Hau, Its an Akaku there. I can tell by the Tube things you can see a Bit of.

Thanks. I wasn't really sure, since you can't see the lenses on the other side.
