CSI: Metru Nui

 

This story was initially written in June of 2008 for Epics Contest 7: Murder Mysteries.  Entrants had to "write a brand-new, never-before written murder mystery epic that includes 5 W’s and an H: Who, What, Why, When, Where, and How. A 'news headline' prompt is given."  This headline has since been lost to the ages, but as I recall it was something to the effect of someone being found murdered by an artefact called the "Dedh-see scroll".

 

This story was a lot of fun to write, especially coming up with Bionicle versions of the forensics technology from the TV shows.  It also ended up winning third place, which was a nice bonus.

The premise of this story is that this takes place between the time of Tuyet and the Toa/Dark Hunter War (around 2 200 years before the Great Cataclysm), and the Toa Mangai are the police/crime scene investigators of Metru Nui.
