Moku
Wow, happening on my birthday, hahah. Not so sure if I'll be going to this, though. I'm not a huge Ninjago fan, to be honest (not that I dislike it or anything - I just never really got into it), and I'll probably have birthday plans. Smitty
Going to try and take my son, the closest Toy R Us is about 45 minutes away. Quote At some point you realize that you are but a speck in the Universe. That you time in this worlds is but a blink. You see the whole of reality as it unfolds before you. You try to see how far you can reach, and it’s not that far past your face. But then you come back from the brink. You hold them in your arms again. And you know that you are where their world begins. You are their rock.
Lyichir
Huh, that's a clever model. I have no pressing need to get it (after all, Toys R Us building event models don't even have any collectible value), but I like the idea of the thing. I wonder what else could be promoted in such a way. A mini Lego Movie logo when the sequel rolls around? Maybe a model of Emily's brooch from Lego Elves? Or how about a Lego City police badge? Once you've broken into iconography, the possibilities are endless! Ayliffe
Maybe a model of Emily's brooch from Lego Elves? Actually, TLG put some pretty neat instructions to build that in the latest yellow brick edition of the Lego Club magazine here in the UK (I don't know if it's in the US version, but if it isn't I can scan the instructions if you want). Toa Smoke Monster
Sounds like a really cool Ninjago event. I won't be able to attend because of work, but I'm more into the Ninjago story than sets, so its not a big deal for me. Aanchir
Which TRU?According to the Facebook page linked above, "All participating Toys "R" Us US locations." I think most will probably be participating, though you could call the one in your area if you want to be sure. Renzari
I know this is Advertisement and replying on a late post but I went here and took photos for BZP members to see what happened there just in case they couldn't make it. http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/18091-it-takes-a-ninja-to-spot-a-ninja-toys-r-us-building-event-coverage/
