Hello, this is my first MOC. I mixed some Bionicle (generation 2) pieces and some HF pieces. Hope you like it. Please give me some tips as well about future MOCs.

It's pretty good, for a first time MOC. The one critique I would have would be to completely stick to your color scheme. The red silver yellow gray color scheme works very well, but there's a kind of weird sword hand guard/pommel/arm brace thing that's purple, which isn't in your color scheme. Also, I can't tell because of the lighting, but if the design on the chestplate is lime green, then that doesn't fit either. If it's gold, then that's ok. Even though gold is nowhere else in the color scheme, it compliments the yellow and silver nicely. Overall, it's somewhat simple, but IMO CCBS is less customizable than Technic, so that's ok.

Thanks, and about the breastplate. The top piece that has some green on it I took from Lewa. The bottom piece is silver, and I got it from some HF set.

Here is the front with a direct image...the picture quality is terrible, I know. I took it with an iPod 4th generation.

I'd replace the breastplate then so it fits the color scheme a little better.

Basic fixes I recommend are getting rid of the purple and Lewa's chest plate, and try to unify your color scheme. I know this is your first MOC, and I salute you for being so courageous as to post it here. So, my recommendation is this: Look at the common flaws of actual sets, and try to fix them. For example, in Hero Factory 2.0, there was no back armor whatsoever. You have those fiery things sticking out of the top, but some armor on the back would do great justice to your design.

EDIT: Also, unless there is some significance character/story wise as to why the fiery-things are different colors, then try to make those the same. Either both red/white, or both red/yellow.

Maybe its the lightning, but the fiery things are the same color

Aside from the mild color issues everyone else has mentioned, I'd say this is quite well done. Very effective in its simplicity.

Oh, and it's not really a building issue, but I'd recommend taking a few "pose" pictures along with the basic static shots. A good pose can really make a MOC come to life; it's well worth the added effort.

Oh, I see it now! I thought it was white because light was reflecting off the yellow bits. Sorry about that.

Definitely agree with this.
