Regitnui
Has anybody come up with a better solution than adding a short bone like Onua's neck? The immobility, to the point where the mask function doesn't work, is annoying. 2 Quote Elemental Rahi in Gen2, anyone? A write-up for an initial video for a G2 plot I really wish everyone would stop trying to play join the dots with Gen 1 and Gen 2 though,it seems there's a couple new threads everyday and often they're duplicates of already existing conversations! Or simply parallel them with a slightly new 'twist'! Gen 2 is NEW, it is NOT Gen 1 and it is NOT a continuation. Outside of the characters we already have I personally don't want to see ANY old characters return. I think it will cheapen the whole experience to those of us familiar with the original line... Toa Kohron
I literally just separated his gearbox+arms from his torso+legs and moved it up one. I'll post pics tomorrow (as where I am its 2:15am)if you would like to see what I mean. It makes his shoulders seem slightly less buffed up, but his head has space to do a full 360 and still look natural, like it was meant to be built that way. Lyichir
The absolute easiest solution (though perhaps not preferable) would be to remove the eyestalk. Honestly the limitations don't bother me that much (seeing as it's actually fairly realistic for some actual armor to limit head movement) and the mask function still works well in pretty much all poses besides facing straight forward. 1 Quote Formerly Lyichir: Rachira of Influence Aanchir's and Meiko's brother
Regitnui
Limit, not prevent. I dare say the inability to look up would be fairly debilitating even if you could take the armour off. When the armour is your skin, it's lethal. Kohron, your solution works quite well. Needed a little adjusting of his shoulder spikes, but cool otherwise. 3 Quote Elemental Rahi in Gen2, anyone? Cwog
I typically find that if you turn the shoulder spikes backwards as seen in the image (click the link below), then you get a little more movement from side-to-side.http://biosector01.com/wiki/images/9/9d/CGI_2015_Quest_for_the_Mask.jpg

Me I took the gear box and moved it down one so the shoulders arms and armor plates are down and not as restricting. 2 Quote "A stranger will always be a stranger unless you give them a chance." || <- My Pokémon | BZPRPG Characters: Po-Matoran Doseki & Nui-Jaga Scorpio; Ga-Matoran Orca Matoran und Panzer: Doseki & Glitch | Marvel RP PC | Mata Nui Monopoly: Come... Toa Kohron
Prowl and I are on the same page. As soon as I put Lewa I was like:"That's not gonna fly. He needs to move his head." XD I like my solution. It doesn't change his look too much, and nothing needs major adjustment to the point where his appearance or construction suffers. EDIT: No pun intended on my head-thoughts. That was not deliberately typed haha Edited March 27, 2015 by Toa Kohron

Its Lewa we are talking about. But we also need to take into consideration why his head has the restricted movement in the first place: His arms. The designers wanted to give him a more tribal-seeming look by putting his shoulders really high; that's also why he has such long arms; to compensate for the higher shoulders. Realistically, your hand should reach about half-way down your thigh, and Lewa's long arms let that work (though I suppose you could say that his arms are long to accommodate for his X-Glider's connectors. Nidhiki of the Shadows
Huh, I have yet to play with Lewa yet but it's a shame that his head mobility is so limited. I would rather not change the shoulder armour because I think it's a fantastic aesthetic choice. -NotS
Regitnui
I've taken to having him create 'wings' with his swords like Lewa Nuva, and using the gliders as propulsion. Looks pretty good. 1 Quote Elemental Rahi in Gen2, anyone? Nato G
Gotta be honest here, I just left it the way it was. It didn't hugely bother me. 2 Quote Embers - A Bionicle Saga - Chapters/Review Class Is Out - A Farewell To Corpus Rahkshi - Chapters/Review BZPRPG Characters - Minnorak, Kain, T'harrak, Savis, Vazaria, Lash BZPRPG Mercenary Group - The Outsiders - Description - History - Base Ghosts Of Bara Magna - Ash Tribe - Precipere - Kehla, Somok, Skrall, Gayle, Avinus, Zha'ar

I pretty much only change the arrangement of his shoulder spikes when he's holding the PoJ's bow, and even then, I usually don't. On an off-topic note, Locus, are you excited for tomorrow's episode of RvB?
Ford
The gearbox and head movement doesn't really bother me that much now, but it did when I first got the set. I recently made a few miniature versions of the new Toa using the Protector aesthetic (except Onua uses the smaller, standard sized CCBS torso) combined with the gearbox mechanisms (except for Gali, for reasons) and they all look pretty good. Lewa, however, was the biggest challenge to convert to a smaller size, and it just happened that the gearbox limits his head movement once again. At this point, I really don't mind it much, as the decision was made for the fact that I still wanted him to be unique compared to the others and I still wanted to preserve his dual and gear functions. While not exactly the same as the original, I can say that he's probably my second favorite of my miniature Toa. And if I ever get the chance, I'll be sure to post pictures of them in a BBC forum topic. 1 Quote http://i.imgur.com/kbP5Svg.gifhttp://i.imgur.com/O8CcqC5.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/kbP5Svg.gif
