Happy Easter from the BIONICLE Team on Facebook

People from some areas of the world may have celebrated or be celebrating Easter this Sunday and Monday. The BIONICLE team on Facebook was kind enough to think of them and wish them a Happy Easter with two pictures: One of some easter eggs with awesome-looking mask motives and another that makes me wish we could get an Okoto Online Game where we could explore the depicted scene, among many others. Check both of them out and Happy Easter if you celebrate it!

Now that's what I'm talking about! This artwork is everything lego should be doing with G2, you see the culture of Okoto and more of the island, another thing that's good to see is the toa casually interacting with each other, you know not all the appeal in bionicle came from the action, watching characters just interact without fighting was also nice to see. If lego do things like this more often G2 could be just like bionicle over a decade ago, nothing short of amazing.

It's time to move on.

The picture is cool, yet something I wasn't quite expecting from LEGO. I like what has been shown during the Easter holiday, as it shows Bionicle can easily become cool without a serious tone always applied to it.

Also, that Lewa Nuva symbol. I think it's just an easteregg that shows that the structure Onua is jumping from is a statue of the Mask of Jungle.

Really cool. I'd like to see more stuff in this art style.

Steam Name: Toa Hahli Mahri. Xbox Live Gamertag: Makuta. Minecraft Username: ThePoohster.

Wants: 2003 Jaller (from Jaller and Gukko), Exo-Toa, Turaga Nuju, Turaga Vakama, Shadow Kraata, Axonn, Brutaka, Vezon & Fenrakk, Nocturn, ORANGE FIKOU.

I got rid of my picture, are you happy?

Is Pohatu building a replica of the temple of time in the sand?

Also, I'm wondering of the Lewa symbol means he will carry on as the leader of the toa team? Probably not, considering the amount the story has followed Tahu. But still, might be interesting.

The Lewa symbol seems to only be there to indicate his statue, seeing as it's mostly off the frame (unlike the other five). I would seriously doubt that any official story info can be gleaned from this pic—and frankly, I don't mind. In fact, I'm all for fun little promo artwork like this, and wouldn't mind seeing more in the future!

This is great.

Why can't we get more material like this from Lego?

They had these sorts of promo materials everywhere in Bionicle's early years.

makes me wish we could get an Okoto Online Game where we could explore the depicted scene, among many others.

At this point I think Lego has given up on making engaging online games...

Wow, this was super unexpected. I had seen the egg picture (which is awesome, great stencil work and glad they found a use for the stands), but that keyart of the Toa on the island is simply breathtaking. All the large Toa heads, the Toa just chilling out and having fun on the beach (Tahu coming back from surfing and Kopaka fishing = awesome) - I find that it creates a very relaxed picture that helps with the characterization of the heroes. The Lewa Nuva symbol used to indicate his stone is a great easter-egg.

I feel like this is what Bionicle is missing currently - amazing keyart. G1 Bionicle had a lot of this. While it slowly phased out in 2006, we still had some pretty pieces of keyart like with the Barraki or 2010's giant robot battle. They really helped with both characterization and world-building, providing a sense of scale, urgency, and depth. Right now, we have this and the "Journey Begins" image (which is equally as awesome). If we had more pieces of art like this, I'd probably feel more invested with the island of Okoto.'

Wow! I did not expect that coming. Anyway these new pictures are awesome and beautiful. I am amazed to see how the Easter Eggs are painted to have the Masks of Power on them. That was very well done because they look very accurate.:)

I love the picture with the beach, too. The artwork on it looks very amazing! Even though that the Toa are hard to see, but I do love how the Easter statues look like masks. They look very accurate, too. Plus, I also noticed Lewa's Nuva Symbol on the statue, probably marking that it is his statue. Speaking of the Symbol, good times back in G1.:) It's good to have variety about the Toa, where they don't fight, and they seem to enjoy a time at a beach in Okoto.:P

I see Lego is feeling at ease with Polynesian culture again  :P

In all seriousness though, this is really awesome. I think the way 2015's story will surpass 2001's is the expanse of time covered. In 2001, when the year's story more or less took place over the course of a day, it wouldn't seem realistic for characters to devote time to leisure, but the extra fluidity paved the way for some really impressive artwork.

Mantax can win connect four in three moves.

No, the other Gali is actually Kopaka. Pay attention to the gold shoulder armor.
