Favorite Barraki

Hello, everyone. I've always liked the Barraki, the six antagonists of the Toa Mahri. They all had completely different builds, and different weapons, and in the story line, they were all warlords of different species.

 

I was wondering, what's your favorite Barraki? I myself like Takadox, but that's me. Feel free to let me know of your favorites and comments.

Pridak and Mantax, but that's not taking into account purely canon stuff. If we're just talking canon, then it's Takadox.

 

If we're talking sets, then it's Carapar.

Takadox, because he was one of my first sets.

He was my first set, and I really like his general creepy praying mantis aesthetic.

Pridak! Awkward and gangly and awesome. Takadox and Mantax tie for second, for originality and cohesiveness of design.

Takadox, mainly because I'm a sucker for the smart guys, but he's also got a lot of other things going for him, as people have already mentioned.

Probably Carapar. He had those great, uniquely-colored pieces there were a mold almost exclusive to him. Additionally, he somehow managed to look oddly cute despite being a mutant crab-man. (Once they were men. Now they are land crabs.)

Take my name into account. His spikes, design and being aquatic to begin with are all factors. And he was the first set to pull me out of my 1st dark years.

Carapar. I just love beings with claws for hands.

 

Ehlek would be a close second though.

I never really liked the Barraki as much as I did the other years, so I'm going with Kalmah... they were all ok, tbh.

[Nidhiki of the Shadows]

Loved Mantax. Great, menacing and bestial design, and the build was definitely something fresh. All components came together to create an original character that is really representational of 2007's underwater theme.

Ehlek. Love me some electricity and his set design was interesting to me. Plus, fun green colors, though his spines were a bit...not idea for MOCing

This is tough, since most all had really cool and unique designs. I think Takadox wins out for me.
