Regitnui Posted May 11, 2015 Share Posted May 11, 2015 Now, lightning is may favorite secondary element and if I were in charge of G2, I'd likely have replaced Pohatu with Chiara, or a different lightning Toa. But here's my question. Given that we can't use Blue (Gali), Gold (masks) or White (Kopaka) to make a lightning Toa, what available CCBS bone and shell colors would this hypothetical set (hypo-set-ical?) use? Here's a few guidelines I've figured:- This is a small set, replacing Pohatu, so his trans-green bones and brown/silver shells are fair game. - His boomerang weapons are too good an idea to waste. - Shoulder armour might be interesting, but lopsided armour is a good way to differentiate from the others. So, BZKoronans, help me design this "Chiara, Master of Lightning" set! Quote Elemental Rahi in Gen2, anyone? The boomerang pieces could be attached to the gearbox of Chiara to serve as wings for a jetpack of some sort. In addition, shoulder armor might not help Chiara look feminine, it would make her shoulders too broad and masculine, so I would leave it out. Why not have a custom built sword as well? Pruple is therefore out, as is other shades of blue. Yellow is a possibility. Which sets have yellow shells and some more CCBS trans-green bones? Yellow shells have been common in Hero Factory, primarily in Evo's various incarnations. Light Blue eyepiece, to add better contrast with the yellow armor. I was considering placing the silver at the end of her arms and legs, while the yellow would cover the upper arms, thighs and chest. Silver Addons on the shoulders and legs would accentuate the silver feet. Trans-green hands would give her the same 'elemental' thing Kopaka has. I'm still unsure about the weapon, as I can't think of a G1 weapon I like that'd fit in G2's aesthetic... I do like the idea of her riding a tornado or stormcloud, as opposed to Pohatu's dust devils. The main reason I suggested yellow was because of the Toa being designed to take Pohatu's place. The other Toa are primarily red, blue, green, black, and white. And the black one already has purple accents. The biggest gap in that spectrum is the one previously represented by the traditionally yellow/orange Stone sets. As such, a Toa that would replace that element would be better off filling that same niche, rather than having a blue/purple color scheme that would overlap with Gali and Onua, respectively. That's it, blue is already being used by Gali. The hypothetical Chiara cant have blue as her main colour. It can, however, have a colour that takes the edge off the yellow. Because just about if not every base color is represented within the Toa. Red = Tahu Orange = Tahu/Pohatu Yellow = Lewa Green = Lewa/Pohatu Blue = Gali Purple = Onua Black = Onua White = Kopaka. So what options are left? Silver? Well that is an armor color for most the Toa? Gold? Well you said that was out due tot he secondary Mask color... Pink? We're replacing Pohatu, so orange (of some description) and trans-green is allowable. Hang in, do we have trans-yellow bones? That way, we can have the yellow as a shell and bone colour similar to Tahu's setup, while keeping a more solid colour as an accent. I'm not sure what that colour would be. Sand blue (how is that different from Gali-blue) seems to be popular, but there's the whole 'blue is girl' thing from G1, and it'd be a shared colour... Perhaps a lighter shade of Pohatu orange?
