They were minor elements that barely appeared in-story, and some question the skewed gender ratio between the tribes of Matoran. The way the storyline played out, we're petitioning to get Plasma named a female element due to its lack of gender definition in the story. We don't know if G2 will or will not use these elements - they are just fan created things, so Lego is under no obligation to use them. Second, Plasma is basically just fire, but stronger, and if the only difference between two elements is their resistance to themselves, there should be a second difference added in, preferably the gender area, because women being more resilient than men isn't stereotypical.
