Check out some concept art that went into the creation of the set, as well as a few prototype mask designs! It's interesting that they're still advertising the gold mask contest, but regardless, it's definitely something you're going to want to check out! They look cool and well-made, even though I always thought Tahu's surfboard blades could be inspired by Toa Lhikan from Bionicle G1.Plus, man, that human-sized mask is huge! But still, I really liked this video. It was really neat to hear what went into the making of Tahu's new mask. Plus the early sketches of it were really cool to see. I, too, hope the life-sized Mask of Fire will be available for purchase sometime in the future. Again, in-depth with the mask - I loved the brilliant concept art and man did the original Tahu mask look different! I was on the Lego Inside Tour last weekend, and at the designer presentation the Bionicle designers had that mask handy. So I knew I had to get a pic of my brother Aanchir wearing it while I had the chance. Looking back, I should have asked if there were any plans to release that to the general public... its quality gave me the impression that it'd be relatively cheap to mass produce. Perhaps we'll see something like that around Halloween this year?
