masterchirox580
So as we all get older we're gonna have to make decisions, buy some property, go to university/college, maybe even start a family, and this got me thinking about what I'm gonna do with all my sets? So what will you do with all your sets as you get older? 4 Quote It's time to move on.
Owlexander
Who says I can't hold onto them, after all, isn't that what most AFOLs do? But in all seriousness, I'll probably end up asking my kids (if I ever have any, cuz who knows ) and the ones they want they can keep, then the ones they don't want I'll probably sell to someone who wants them more than me. c: The others that my kids don't want, but I think are cool, will remain on my shelves. Lyichir
I've already finished college, and still have all my Bionicle sets. Currently, I have little need to get rid of any of them, though if it ever came to that I could probably part with a good portion of my G1 sets. I hardly ever display them or use their parts for MOCs, and if I should ever have children of my own, I'm sure the sets at that point would be much higher quality than the fragile parts and repetitive builds of the older sets. 4 Quote Formerly Lyichir: Rachira of Influence Aanchir's and Meiko's brother

A write-up for an initial video for a G2 plot I really wish everyone would stop trying to play join the dots with Gen 1 and Gen 2 though,it seems there's a couple new threads everyday and often they're duplicates of already existing conversations! Or simply parallel them with a slightly new 'twist'! Gen 2 is NEW, it is NOT Gen 1 and it is NOT a continuation. Outside of the characters we already have I personally don't want to see ANY old characters return. I think it will cheapen the whole experience to those of us familiar with the original line... Eyru
I've got a few sets displayed on my shelf, but most of my Lego and Bionicle sets are in storage right now. I expect they'll stay there until I finish university, as I don't have the space or time to do much else with them right now. After I graduate? I'll probably keep them. Maybe do some MOCing now and then. Give them to my kids eventually, I suppose. The Hip Historian Iaredios
Well for the past couple of years I have tried to sell them, but... i just can't. They belong to me and i have had them for most of my life (some of my earliest memories involve Bionicle). My mother noted this and I said just that. I'm keeping these and I'll probably let my children play with them when they're old and mature enough to respect my property. Now all I got to do is find someone that would be alright with me keeping these and displaying a couple of them. Logan McOwen
I'm definitely keeping a few specific G1 sets either intact or archived; Gali and Tahu Mata, Turaga and Toa Vakama, McToran Hewkii, the Tarakava, Kiina and my three Vahki Bordahk. This is alongside four Roboriders and my little troop of custom Slizers. As for the rest of my G1 parts however, I'm not sure what to do. I've got a big box of the stuff, but I just don't touch it these days. I'm definitely keeping my Kanohi, Metru/Glatorian heads and a lot of my weapon parts... but now that I MOC primarily with Technic and CCBS, I think I'll separate out what little amount of other G1 stuff I want to keep, and then sell the rest. I may reassemble a couple of old sets that I liked beforehand (I'm thinking of my Rahkshi and Rahaga here), but otherwise it's just a big box of stuff somebody else could enjoy much more than I do.As for CCBS, that's definitely my shtick these days. I use a few styles of G1 parts with CCBS (Vorox armour, Ehlek spines, Metru and Glatorian heads and various weapons), but CCBS and Technic are my primary MOCing medium now. So, my CCBS collection is definitely here to stay, and is only gonna keep growing. I'm probably gonna stick to it for as long as it captivates my interest, and when I look at how System has kept me interested since day dot, I think it'll be a long time until that ends TL;DR: Most of my G1 stuff will go, some favourite G1 sets will stay, but my CCBS and Technic parts won't be disappearing for a long time. 2 Quote I inadvertently predicted Vorox armour's use in G2.
