IC: Darken - Zakaz Mainland.

 

Finally, it was too much.

 

He reared back, then stabbed both wing claws down towards the source of the sound, seeking to silence it forever.

IC: Oblitus (Solitarius Lupus) - Xia Outskirts. 

 

He threw himself out of the way, the lightning bolt flashing past him. The intense heat seared the armour plating, the temperature inside the cockpit climbing to uncomfortable levels. But although he'd evaded a direct hit from the blast, he couldn't avoid the buildings that were now crashing down around him....

 

The Lupus went down, legs pinned by collapsed rubble.

GM IC Sharky:

 

The alpha roared it's victory, stomping over to the downed Jaeger, and planting it's clawed hand on the Lupus' chest. Then he opened his mouth, preparing another Electric blast....

IC Nilax piloting Tactivs:

Tactivs stomped toward the area, weapons loaded. Nilax saw the Alpha Kaiju through his viewfinder, standing over a downed Jaeger. Hitting a button as Tactiv's targeters locked on, a Cordak shot from its hand, teh rocket speeding towards the Alpha Kaiju's head.

IC: Oblitus (Solitarius Lupus) - Xia Outskirts.

 

"I was hoping you'd do that you ugly ..." while the mech's left arm was crippled, and its legs were pinned, the right arm - the one with the gun - was still fully operational. So as the Alpha leered over him, lightning crackling in its broken, bleeding mouth, he raised his sonic cannon and opened fire, utilising all of his jaeger's remaining power to let off a terrifying volley of rapid-fire pulses straight up into its gaping maw. 

 

Hopefully that'd give the monster something to remember him by, and maybe distract it long enough for Oblitus to deploy the escape pod...

GM IC Sharky:

 

Pain.

 

Pain.

 

PAIN.

 

Waves of pain went through the Alpha, as he stumbled back away from the downed jaeger, spewing blood and bile from his mouth. The missile from the other jaeger flew past as Sharky pulled back from the Lupus, stomping on it's legs as it retreated from the source of the mind piercing pain in his head.several teeth had been shattered by the sonic hum.

 

It had other problems now. Turning, Sharky spewed his electric breath at Tactiv instead, moving forward to engage his new prey.

 

He was the Alpha. The Largest and most Powerful of the Kaiju. he would not back down so easily.

IC: Oblitus - Xia Outskirts. 

 

He'd been given a chance to escape; he wasn't going to waste it. The escape pod jettisoned from the Lupus battered remains, flying on a trajectory that would hopefully put him down somewhere near the Shatterdome.

 

He'd lost, but he didn't really mind. He'd given the Alpha a beating, which was more than anyone else seemed to have managed, and when this attack was over, he'd come back and take one of those broken teeth as a trophy...

IC Nilax:

Whoa.

Tactivs barely dodged the electricity. It backpedaled inorder to get some distance as the TPDS fired the loaded rocket spike at the Alpha's mouth. The rocket would keep firing even after impact. Perfaration on a Kaiju this size was unlikely, but penetration? Definately.

OOC: Well. RIP Bakira and Detangi, it was fun while it lasted.

 

IC (As Detangi): The high pitched sound ceased as the skakdi felt a sharp pain run through his spine. The ringing in his ears was the last sound he heard as his eyes drooped shut, feeling the life bleed out of him. The Jaeger stopped struggling and went deathly silent.

IC: Darken - Zakaz Mainland. 

 

He withdrew his claws, seeing the splattered remains of the squishy smeared along one of them. It seemed his work here was done. Pulling off what remained of the jaeger's head, he took to the air once more. 

 

Another trophy for his collection... 

 

OOC: Darken would have no reason to think there were two pilots. You've said Detangi is dead, but Bakira could potentially have survived, maybe fallen out onto the ground when the head was ripped off or something.

IC: Smackdown - Zakaz

Smackdown whipped himself around, using his tail to demolish a few buildings as he continued to wait for one of the metal guardians to show up and fight him.

 

IC: Phantom - Xia Coastline

Swimming up towards the surface, Phantom propelled herself out of the water before expanding the full length of her wingspan mid-jump and taking to the air, activating her skin ability to make it even harder for those on the ground to be able to pick her out in the sky as she flew towards the mainland, following the path of destruction that the Alpha Kaiju had left in its wake.

 

IC: Blockbuster - Stelt Coastline

Another hour.

Another meal.

Another burp.

GM IC Sharky:

 

The alpha Kaiju stood to full height on it's hind legs, the rocket sticking into it's chest. Sharky bellowed a challenge, using one clawed hand to tear the rocket free and crushing it in his hand. He landed on all fours, and began to advance on Tactivs, belching lightning at it as he moved in closer .

A wad of kaiju glue was spat at Tactivs.

IC Nilax:

TActivs backpedaled more, when Nilax was alerted by the damage sensors. Tactivs' leg was being eaten away. A blast of grapeshot and another Cordak was fired at the Alpha's face as Tactivs began to limp slightly.

"Jaeger Tactivs requesting backup."

IC: Darken - Breach Cave.

 

Half hidden in the walls of the breach was Darken's lair - a decent-sized cave with enough room to comfortably house himself and his growing collection of jaeger heads. He emerged from the water and into the natural air pocket, dragging his latest kill behind him.

 

He doubted that even the Alpha had a collection as extensive as his...

IC: Skia

From within the Hive, a shape swam and slithered around in the water, keeping to the shadows. Around a corner it turned, and the face of an ancient mask appeared- not that a Kaiju would know.

IC: Tonitrui - Kaiju Hive.

 

The reef was huge, and there was one hollowed out section nearer to the surface - a place seldom visited by other kaiju - that Tonitrui had claimed as her own. Her wounds were still oozing fluid; she needed time to rest and recover. 

 

And then, she would hunt again...

IC: Oblitus - Xia Shatterdome.

 

The escape pod had landed just short of the dome, and he splashed out of the water towards the base. With his jaeger out of commission, there was little he could do now except bunker down, and hope there was something still standing by the end of the day.

GM IC Sharky:

 

The dual blasts knocked the Alpha's head aside, and Kaiju blue poured out from the wounds. The cordak had taken a chunk out of the side of his face, and pain lanced it's way to his brain once more.

 

His skin became electrically charged, but the blast that emerged from his mouth was one of ice, intent on freezing the Jaeger in place long enough for Sharky to tear it to shreds.

IC Nilax:

Taken by surprise, Tactiv's torso down was frozen. Frantically pushing buttons, Nilax fired a spike at the Kaiju's eye, before setting the next reload to grapeshot. He prepped the escape pod, fearing the worst.

"JAEGER TACTIVS REQUESTING BACKUP!!" was sent to teh Xia shatterdome via radio.

GM IC: Pavohi

 

"Okay, then- hang on in there. We'll deal with this rogue, then we'll see about getting you outta there. Need all the pilots we can get nowadays," the Matoran mumbled, opening the Shatterdome's doors to allow a trio of MK I Jaegers, each of them an identical rusty orange colour, to move out into the sea. The three quickly formed a ring around Rivet and GunJaeger, spring-loaded fists held up in front of them in the guard traditionally used by boxers.

 

"Go get 'em, Flare Squadron."

IC Abbenidium

 

Now.

 

Abbenidium darted out of the sea at high speed, propelling himself through the air. It tilted its head and landed running, skidding to a stop behind Tactiv.

 

It made no roar.

GM IC Sharky and Artakha Jaegers:

 

Inside his Jaeger, Nilax, would see the spike bounce off the Alpha's bony skull. A channel opened on his comms system, and a confident voice spoke through the speakers.

 

"This is Alpha Team, we got your back."

 

Two of the Jaegers moved in on the Alpha, but simply couldn't get to it fast enough as the Alpha tackled the Tactivs.

 

The remaining Jaeger launched a pakari powered power fist at Abbendium.

IC Nilax:

Tactivs fell to the ground. "Ya shouldn't have done that.", Nilax muttered, firing a burst of grapeshot nearly point-blank into the Alpha's face.

GM IC Sharky:

 

The Alpha's face was a mess, torn liberally open by the blast. with a shriek of rage, it stomped down on the offending weapon, his other limbs now tearing into the Tactivs.

 

The other two Jaegers for their part, tried to get close, but the vicious tail swinging kept ensured they kept their distance.

 

Alpha team's goal was to try and capture Kaiju, after all.

IC: Emalia (Iron Vengeance) - Xia Coastline.

 

Unaware of the ongoing battle against the Alpha, the lone Nynrah Ghost was doing her best to combat the waves of kaiju assaulting the coastal defences. These monsters had murdered her family and friends...

 

...now it was time for her to return the favour.

IC Abbenidium

 

Abbenidium thought its muscular head was enough to stop the punch, so it rammed into the fist.

 

Stupid.

 

At the most, the Artakha Jaeger was knocked back a few feet. Abbenidium, however held his ground wonderfully - and went unconscious only moments after, its head ringing back and forth.

GM IC: NPC Kaiju

 

A pair of enterprising Kaiju, one with a body reminiscent of a serpent and the other one with a knifehead, clearly a Kaiju related to the Alpha, slowly begin moving towards the Iron Vengeance through the water, making next-to-no unnecessary movement as they glided towards the lone Jaeger.

IC Nilax:

"Uh oh.", Nilax muttered, as the Alpha's vicious attack hit the Cordak reserves stored in the wrist. Nilax slammed the escape pod button and Tativs' head opened up before the escape pod jetted out, the wrist's COrdak blowing up with a large explosion.

IC: Emalia (Iron Vengeance) - Xia Coastline. 

 

Taking an electro-rocket square between the eyes, Emalia's latest foe finally collapsed into the murky water, swallowed up in a cloud of its own glowing blood. She started backing up towards the shallows, closer to the rest of the coastal defences, unaware of the two new kaiju making their way towards her...

GM IC Sharky and Alpha Team:

 

The explosiontore through the Alpha's hand, blowing it nearly clean off. The Two jaegers of Alpha team fired their electric nets, Tangling the colossal Kaiju in a painful mesh of barbed metal wires and electricity.

 

It roared in pain, turning to swing it's tail at the first of them, catching it in the side, crumpling the jaeger's armor and sending it to the ground. The second moved to assist, firing a few missiles at the Alpha to keep it at distance.

 

 

Meanwhile the Third Jaeger was standing over Abbendium, weapons ready. The pilot was confused as to how a single punch had downed the black beast, and was not taking any chances.

OOC: Interacting with Emalia.

 

IC (As Dodger): A red and silver furred creature slowly emerged from the sea as it looked at the two Kaiju going after Iron Vengeance. What the Kaiju lacked in height, it made up in speed. It dog paddled behind the serpent, moving slightly ahead to jump on the Kaiju and pounce off of it towards Emalia.

IC: Emalia (Iron Vengeance) - Xia Coastline.

 

The Vengeance responded to the threat with extreme prejudice, stepping forwards and stabbing its blade upwards to meet the creature mid-pounce. The kaiju's own speed and size would make it incredibly difficult for the creature to avoid impaling itself. 

 

At the same time, Emalia fired off an electro-rocket towards the serpentine creature, whose position Dodger had kindly given away when it'd used it for a springboard.

...

 

Stirred.

 

The black creature was strong. Fast. Quiet. But something as a Pakari-powered knuckle sandwich had knocked him down. It hazily stood, trying to get a grip on its surroundings, eyeing the Jaeger one last time before its eyes gave out, followed by its legs.

 

It hit the dirt with a thud, its mandibles wavering before stopping entirely.

 

 

IC Dessimus

 

The lone Matoran noticed the commotion coming from Xia. "What in the...?"

 

It appeared to be a Kaiju fight. Karzing things.

 

He stood on the coastline, intent on checking it out when it was over. After all... That's where the paper said to go.

IC (As Dodger): It roared in pain as the creature's abdomen received a massive cut from its belly scraping over the sharp point of the sword, spilling its blood all over the machine's arm. To attack in revenge, the creature raised its arm and swiped forward to hit the cockpit.

IC: Emalia (Iron Vengeance) - Xia Coastline.

 

The clawed hand slammed into the side of the Vengeance's head, rattling Emalia inside. She fought to keep her footing, and twisted the blade as she pushed it upwards, aiming to completely eviscerate the impaled beast.

GM IC: NPC Kaiju

 

The serpent narrowly avoided the electro-rocket, increasing its speed in order to ram into the Iron Vengeance's legs, intending to knock the Jaeger over and into the water, where the fight would likely be far easier. As it did so, it released a low, angry-sounding hum that, in Kaiju, translated to something like }"##### off, red!"{ The knifehead, meanwhile, had peeled off from the serpent's path, and even now was curving around on a trajectory that would bring it around so as to obtain a clean line of sight at the Iron Vengeance's back.

[Wyrd Bid Ful Araed]

IC: If there hadn't been an Alpha Kaiju attacking the island of Xia, someone might have thought it odd that a glacier was approaching the island. Especially as it was moving too fast and against the current. 

It was, of course, the orthocone kaiju Glaceras. Since the Alpha and its immediate entourage had done the brute work of shattering their way through the first stages of Xia's defences he had come to pick from the bones. The first prize that presented itself was the jaeger Iron Vengeance still trying to stem the flow of kaiju into the city, a pebble that thought itself a dam. 

Glaceras moved closer as Emalia duelled with Dodger and the other assortment of monsters that were trying to bring it down. His tentacles slithered through the waters, creeping onto the beach where they sought for the Iron Vengeance's legs, trying to trip it, snare it, topple it. If it fell it could be dragged, back into the seas, down into the depths. Prey for Glaceras...

IC: Emalia (Iron Vengeance) - Xia Coastline. 

 

The Vengeance staggered as the serpent creature rammed into her, but as she was already leaning forwards, pushing against the beast impaled on her blade, it wasn't enough to knock her over. Yet...

 

Inside the cockpit, Emalia kept looking around, trying to keep track of everything that was out there. A third kaiju was circling around towards her back, and she could see tentacles from a fourth snaking towards her mech's legs. 

 

She needed to retreat. 

 

Leaving her blade inside Dodger's torso, she let go of the weapon and started to back off, firing an electro-rocket towards the serpent kaiju's head as she neared the edge of the beach. "This is Iron Vengeance, requesting assistance," she barked into her radio, "I'm outnumbered, engaging four kaiju. Send help to my coordinates."

OOC: Well. There goes my Kaiju. That's two characters Drop Bear has killed so far.

 

IC (As Dodger): The Kaiju screamed in pain as the blade pierced its abdomen and cut through him, swiping weakly until its body went limp, unable to fight anymore.

GM IC: NPC Kaiju

 

The electro-rocket collided with the serpent's head, the explosion knocking a dent in the skull. The resulting electric wave swept through the Kaiju's nervous system, rendering it comatose, although despite the head injury, it was still alive. The knifehead, its manoeuvre complete, now launched itself upwards towards the Iron Vengeance's back, the crest from which it derived its variation name aimed towards the Jaeger's upper back, the intention being to impale it through a central point of the body, thereby compromising the machine's integrity which would hopefully slow any response to further attacks.

 

GM IC: Xia Shatterdome

 

A Vortixx, his sand-green armour dented after a bout with a Kaiju in which his Jaeger was rendered unable to fight, answered Emalia's frantic call for aid. "We've got a Jaeger coming out to you now," he said into the mic, clearly anxious as he gestured to a Matoran to get on the line to a MK II near the Iron Vengeance's location. A few seconds later, the purple mech was on its way, already charging the plasmacaster installed in its left arm.
