Hello BZPower, and sorry I have not been on lately. I have been very busy with the end of school, scouts and work. However, I also recently got Splatoon for Wii U, and it is amazing. You may have seen its cheesy commercials, but the game is tons of fun. I've been playing it almost all the time I am free.

Here some backstory about Splatoon for those who don't know. Splatoon is a post-apocalyptic shooter set 12,000 years in the future. Humans are extinct, and many sea creatures are now land creatures. One type of squid has evolved very far into a humanoid creature known as Inklings. They can turn back into squids, as most of their body is full of ink. Teenage Inklings compete in a sport much like modern-day paintball known as Turf Wars. They use a variety of ink-based weaponry, like ink guns and giant paint rollers, to cover as much ground as possible with their team's ink. The Inklings can only use their weapons in humanoid form, but can turn into squid form to quickly travel through their ink and climb up walls. Two teams of four duke it out for three minutes, and when the time is up, a cat named Judd decides the winning team. Their are other varieties of this sport, and Inklings all over the city gather to play.

I love the game, and a few days after I got the game, I decided to make MOCs of the Boy and Girl Inkling and use their amiibos as a basis. Several weeks later, I have finished making them both, but sadly I lack a good camera so I had to use my 3DS. The quality is pretty bad, and doesn't do the models much justice. I hope you all enjoy them nonetheless.

Don't forget your Splattershot at home, kids squids.

I built the Inkling Girl first, and she took much longer to build. The tentacle hair was a bit difficult, and so was finding enough parts in the right colors. However, some of the parts were other colors because Mixel joints don't exist in tan yet, and I don't have other hinges and joints in the needed colors. I built her in segments, as you can see in this picture. The proportions were very hard to get correct, and I had to restart several times.

The Inkling Boy was much easier to make. I built him second, and used the girl's build as blueprints. They share most of their design, apart from details like the head and shoes. However, he is more sturdy than the girl because I managed to fit a few small design improvements in. I built him in segments also. LINK The ponytail was surprisingly difficult to make.

Here is the link to the gallery, where you can see some other poses and angles of the MOCs. It might not be public yet, but I cannot change that. >>> GALLERY

Finally, here is a close up of the Splattershot

You know I use my 3DS for my pictures and yours don't look bad at all. I should smack you for thinking as such but sadly the technology to reach through a computer screen has not been developed yet and if it has, I don't own it.

Anyway from what I could see, (The Female pics gave me a not public message)  This look good for the media you used to create them with. I really like the blaster, it reminds me of my old super soaker... Very cool.

That Splattershot is just perfect. And I think you got the girl's tentacle hair down just right, despite the difficulty you described.

But that Splattershot. Okay, maybe a small criticism on how the reservoir is attached; it doesn't look too stable. Still, I'm not sure how better to make it without sacrificing the perfect likeness in shape you have here.

Excellent! And yes, I love the game too. : P

Though I haven't gotten to play the game quite yet, these MOCs perfectly embody the game's avatars. The Splattershot itself is a great creation.

The chest itself reminds me of the LEGO games dice cubes. I really expected those to be more prevalent in MOCing when they were released, but I guess not.
