Wanted Items

Recommended Posts

Greetings to those reading this topic.

So I'm still trying to hunt down a couple of Bionicle pieces and exclusives and am hoping that some of you can help me out in some way or another.  Unfortunately I'm in the middle of a move so I don't have anything to offer as far as trades go, but I can and will happily offer money.

So the first thing on my list of wants is the Comic-Con edition of Bionicle Ignition 3 with the variant cover (pictured below):

Since I haven't come across this comic at all over the past couple of years, I'd be willing to offer $50 for it in Near Mint condition.

Lastly and most importantly for me, I'm still trying to hunt down a GPKK Xa and Vu (pictured below).

For those of you who don't know what these are, the Gray Plastic Krana-Kal were rare prototype Krana given out to Proto Squad members in 2003.  Despite how some of them may look in different pictures due to bad lighting, they are NOT the Dark Gray Krana found with the Lehvak Va sets.  These Krana are made from hard plastic (like normal Lego bricks) as opposed to the rubber they used in most Krana.  This is what makes them so unique and rare.  Here are pictures of the ones I own.  These have proven extremely difficult to track down and the only people I know who own them have complete sets of GPKK and who won't be parting with them any time soon.  I've offered incentives in the past for people who can help me locate these Krana and I will continue to do so.  Unfortunately I am all out of spare WMKK to offer, so I will just offer money.  If you can help me get in touch with someone who owns one of these two GPKK and I am able to work out a deal with them, I will give you $100 USD just for helping me find them.  Another way that you can earn some extra money from me is if you locate one of these two GPKK on a place like eBay or Bricklink.  Should you find one and you are unable to reach me, feel free to bid on the item or buy it in my stead and I will reimburse you as quickly as possible and add $100 to whatever price you bought the Krana for.  If you are reading this and happen to own one of the two (or both) of the GPKK that I am looking for, I am ready to offer $400 per Krana.  Please contact me if you are interested in selling and I'm sure we can work something out.

Feel free to ask questions.

If anyone will be attending Comic-Con and would be willing to part with this mask, I'll offer $200 for it.

You might want to hold off on the high offer for now, in case we have a repeat of the clear Hau or, even worse, the trans-orange Hau.

Flintsmith - I would definitely be interested in that, however let me see if Crezdonn has one first if you don't mind.

Crezdonn - I believe it was a promotional prototype or misprint that was given out 10 years ago or so. If you do have one, would you be willing to part with it?

Yeah I'd sell it to you, I don't really have a use for the thing and I'd rather use that money to buy more kraata. I'll have to go digging in that box when I get home.

Awesome! Thanks and please keep me posted.

Oh and Letagi - Sorry I didn't respond to you in my first post.  You have a good point about the mask, but I would rather not take my chances for now in case it does end up staying an exclusive item.  I went ahead and bought one of the "pre-orders" for it on eBay from someone who will be attending SDCC this year.  So hopefully he'll be able to get a hold of one and if not, I'll get a refund.  I'll know for sure if the seller has it by the end of this coming weekend so if he isn't able to get it, my offer still stands for now.

I'm not going to be home until Sunday so I'll give you an update then.

Question though, is there any way to tell that it is an official prototype item? Reason I ask is because I remove the print from HF armor pieces using acetone, so if this is not an official prototype and someone just rubbed off the print, then you have no reason to pay a premium for a fifty cent part.

If there's a way to tell if it's a prototype I'll send you some pictures of it.

Looking forward to hearing the update.  Unfortunately I really do not know if there is a way to tell if one is genuine or not since I've never seen on in person.  I've never dabbled with removing printed designs off of Lego pieces before, but I would imagine that the disk would still have a nice, smooth finish on it if it were genuine.  Feel free to send me pics anyway.

Update to Letagi - Thanks for the suggestion in the PM you sent me.  I bought a couple of the new Skull Skopio masks and paid much less than I originally anticipated I would have to.

  • 4 weeks later...

Made a mistake, it's actually a blank kanoka, the glow in the dark one.

Pics if you want them, sorry it's not a black one!

No worries on the mistake.  I actually managed to acquire one from someone at Brickfair!  On that subject, thank you Flintsmith for your offer to make one for me.  I really appreciate it.

So at this point I'm down to just the 2006 SDCC Comic and the two GPKK.  I'm still hoping that someone may turn out to have that Xa and Vu.  My offer for them still stands.
