Bionicle Mafia XXIV : The Big Sleep

Not Quite Dead

Recommended Posts

Day Seven

Having all but outed herself as a member of the mafia, Blade was led to the gallows. Safely returned to their Chekhov's tank, the two soldiers watched grimly. Driven by a motivation that, even I the narrator do not understand, they decided to ally with the mafia rather than the village. They took aim and fired a mortar at the gallows, destroying the structure before it could be used. Voxumo and Pumpress Semira rushed out of the tank and collected Blade in the confusion, sealing themselves all inside.

Hi... We're the tank crew, remember us that rolled into town at the beginning? Yeah we've been here. And we struck a deal with the mafia. After they gain control of this town, we are going to bring it to the ground, and build a massive casino and resort.

So, Vox and Pumpress make up the Tank Crew...

Underscore and FF, you're doomed.

No hard feelings.

Remember when you thought Kapura was Mafia? That was really useful. You killed your own vigilante, and one of your last defences!

On Bota Magna, everything is about to fall apart.

*shrugs*

What can I say, when given the choice of being neutral, I'm inclined to sway towards the side of evil.

Also what difference would it have made if we were on the list? We would be under neutral roles, ontop of that would likely be labeled Secret Role C and D. You will notice prior to the sk's death, they were labeled as Secret role E, which is completely out of alphabetical order, afterall you don't skip from B to E.

I really don't think it's fair, seeing as we had no idea that any other roles could exist. Unless stated otherwise, it is reasonable to assume that the OP is the sum total of the game's contents. Now, if you'd simply said "Known Roles," that would be one thing. But as it was, we had no idea that any other secret roles existed. Furthermore, Voxumo came up as Village-aligned, when investigated, which is rather disingenuous, if you ask me.

Well to be fair, the numbers for this game haven't been correct since the beginning, You'll notice the OP states there are 15 Matoran supposedly, yet there are only 20 players. Add on the 5 mafia, 7 secret roles, 2 non-secret village roles... well that doesn't add up. So yeah the information available to you hasn't been correct from the start... Just no one's takin the time to notice it.

Wait is it over, I'm confused?

Yes, as Unit pointed out the chance of village victory is effectively zero.

Furthermore, Voxumo came up as Village-aligned, when investigated, which is rather disingenuous, if you ask me.

This is, again, my bad. All they had was a group PM with the two of them, giving them the assurance they were both innocent, and the option to save one person from lynching through the game. Seeing as how the mafia were hostile towards them, as I assumed the mafia would have to eventually kill them, and they had no option of purposefully harming the village, I thought of them as pro-town. It wasn't until Voxumo asked me if they could save someone that was essentially confirmed as Mafia and further, to ally with the mafia, that I realized they were more of a neutral-at-best role than a pro-town one. So it was just a bad call on my part...

Day One

"So, as you can see. That is your fate and the fate of the village." The turaga crossed his hands and reclined, staring across the table at you.

Was it really that futile? "Is there really nothing I can do?"

The turaga nodded, "it has already happened innumerable times. You and I are simply the unfortunate two fated to see the future, or rather, the past. It's all rolled up as one, you see?"

You nodded, taking a glance at the gun at your hip. "Well, no hard feelings, right?"

"Never." He shook his head.

You drew your gun, aimed and fired. The deacon came rushing in afterwards, screaming his lungs out. Tossing your gun to the ground in placation, you raised your hands and let the mob grab you. The forced march to the gallows is quickly becoming familiar, it is about this time that you remember the other times. By the time the rope tightens around your neck, it's all come back to you. Unfortunately, it is all about to leave you rather quickly...

Well, until next time.

You, lynched Day One

Lesson to everyone, Never give me vague details... I will find a way to mess things up.

But really this was a funish game. Being able to silently observe till the very end was fun. And the twists were interesting.

I've always wondered. Who actually received the "information" on Day 4? You know, that time when the village had to choose 3 courses of action after the Lovers died and it said that one person will be chosen to get the investigation info. I'm just curious to know since the game's over now :P.

Sumiki walked into the carcass of yet another game. The remaining Mafians stared at him, and those with tanks readied their vehicle's weapons.

"I'm here strictly on business," the Forum Assistant said. "You have witnessed this before. You know what comes next."

The Mafians did not look to back down, looking instead on Sumiki's iridescent Huna.

"The game is over," he said. "Closed."

Voxumo fired at Sumiki. The shell ripped through his body and exploded. When the dust settled, all that could be seen was a hat.

"Hat," the hat said, "is a strong word."
