Recommended Posts

A new day in our anniversary week brings a new raffle for people to participate in. Go check out 14th Anniversary Big Raffle 2, we're we're offering up two trans-clear Masks of Fire, the same ones that were given away at New York Comic Con last year. These masks don't have the cool packaging, but they're still awesome and hard to come by. Tickets cost $1 each to enter the raffle and there will be two winners. Enter now and support the site, because the raffle ends at the end of the month!

The term "trans-clear" feels redundant to me. Like, I understand it's to differentiate it from other translucent colors, but the term "clear" seems to imply translucence/transparency already.

Agreed. The official LEGO name is just "Transparent". But Bricklink names are what many online FOLs are used to.

If it's any help, you can pretend the news article is written in Treespeak. :P

Is the fact that no one has entered the raffle yet an error?

(or can I just enter and claim both masks for myself :P)

I think that Dimensioneer has to log on and approve all the tickets before they show up. The Toa Terrain Crawler raffle said 0 tickets sold until he logged on several hours later, then it jumped up to 100.

A pretty great raffle prize! Now I just need to ponder if the odds would be good enough for me to participate. :P

I'm pretty sure that the Big D no longer does much of the day-to-day administration stuff, and that it's mainly Black Six who does so now.

Dimensioneer still handles the majority of the financials, including Premier Memberships and raffles. This is still very much his site, fourteen years later.

Sweet. Two clear Tahu masks up for grabs.

Now, I wonder when the rest of that bag will come into circulation...

As had been said before, the bag was not a donation to bzpower, but to B6, Tufi, and myself. We did indeed save several dozen for bzp itself, but we parted the rest out amongst those of us in our hotel room at NYCC.

Some of those from our collections have already been available, I hosted a blog contest whet I gave away five, and I also take one with me once a month to LEGOLAND CA to give to a random person who seems interested in the BIONICLE section.
