MOC Breakdown

Recommended Posts

Hello, internet peeps.

I need YOUR help breaking down this MOC:

Front.

Front in a different stance.

Back.

The designer of said MOC, doesn't make such models anymore. And I figured I can't let such a great design go to waste.

If anyone can bother making step-by-step instructions via text or LDD, on making the torso (as I obviously know how to make the limbs and such), I'll be eternally grateful.

Erm, that torso is made of Nuva shoulder armor, some old Technic wheels, and Rahaga legs with old gray Bionicle hand pieces.

The back has a Bohrok Krana holder, held in place with some standard angular Technic beams.

Well...Um...Yeah.

I just need to know how everything connects inside and such.

Okay. So they took the bottom torso piece of a standard inika build and attached what looks like a Metru head (it's some sort of head) using an axle piece to the front of it.

Then they took what looks like a Technic ball axle (like the one used on the new Toa's shoulders) and put a long gray axle though technic rod hole covers and Bionicle G1 arm parts (upon closer scutiny, they are not Rahaga legs). The bottom "hand parts" connected to the arm parts are also connected to the lever arm on the back, and also to each other via an axle.

The top technic rod cover appears to house a technic rod on either side, which appears to be how the nuva shoulder armor is connected to the model.

On the back I see a lot of technic spacers on either side of the krana case and the touch of blue looks like pneumatic T-joints. The spacers appear to be for decoration and be connected to a bunch of these, which are connected to a long black axle that appears to go behind the Bohrok casing. The top of said part looks like it is connected to this which appears to be how the shoulders go on/attach.

Then the wheels I think have their own axle that goes through them to the head, although they could be just stacked in there. They don't appear to be connected to anything else, although the MoCist could have used another cross block to connect that axle to the other going though the back.

Also, this has close up pictures: http://custombionicle.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Ids5621/The_Armored_Woman which might help others on here who don't want to squint.

Easiest thing to do is gather the parts you recognize, piece them together as best as you can, and once you've done that, consult Bricklink or LDD or something for parts that might fit into the uncertain areas. I did the exact same thing with a friend's MOC recently--he had me look at pictures of it, and I just kinda guessed on most of what I couldn't see. The results were excellent.

I do recognize this MOC, though, and I've often wanted to replicate its head. For your sake, I might try out the rest of it, and I'll report back when I have something. (I'm currently vacationing, and won't be home for another week and a half, though, so don't hold your breath. :P )

Alright, I think I got the basics. How about the shoulder armor?

Well, I got the back of the figure pretty much built and the lower stomach area.

And thanks, if you manage to try it out. Every bit helps. Message me if you can if you've done it-- I might forget about this topic.  :dazed:
