All Summer 2015 Bionicle Character Videos now on LEGO.com

Recommended Posts

The LEGO.com Videos page has been updated with all the summer 2015 Bionicle character videos. Skull Slicer's video had already been available, but you can now watch the Toa and Ekimu face off against Skull Warrior, Skull Basher, Skull Scorpio, and Skull Grinder! It's very likely that we'll see these videos and other updates added to Bionicle.com as the sets are officially released this coming week!

Man. The Toa are getting curb stomped in these videos. What ever happened to teamwork and unity :P?

Anyways, I actually kind of like these character videos better than the Toa ones. There's like more story and action in them. Can't wait to see the complete episodes when they're released.

Now I'm really excited to see the upcoming episodes with the Skull Villains! :)

It looks like the Toa are going to have some tough fights ahead of them. Especially against the Skull Grinder. I was not expecting him to be powerful enough to one shot all the Toa AND knock their golden masks off. Though the Toa did make it easy for him by charging straight at him all at once. :P

Everyone is one choice away from being the bad guy in another person's story.

These were awesome! I hope this is an indication of the quality of the Summer animations because they seemed super action-packed with great animation.

Skull Scorpio's was great, it represented a fantastic conflict with a stalemate that set up a confrontation with Pohatu, which seems epic in itself. Skull Warrior's was more a showcase of what that legion does in these shorts, and the Skull Basher's was pretty cool but done in a little more typical fashion than Scorpio. Interesting that Ekimu is grey-ish black in that clip.

But man, both Ekimu and Skull Grinder's were mind-blowing. Ekimu, for his "underdog-beats-bigbad" trope and Grinder's for the content. Him knocking off the Toa's Masks is the same as in the book previews we got from Amazon, so we know that's legit! Looks absolutely epic.

The "Toa Okoto" really have to step their game up!  :( :P

The scene with Kulta defeating the Toa reminded me of the time when Brutaka did the same thing to the Toa Nuva (with the Matoran) on Voya Nui. :P Not sure if the animators wanted to harken back to that specific scene though. (Especially since it was never actually illustrated only described).

Other than uniting the elements, I don't see the need for six toa who get beat by one guy who, along with his minions gets stomped a pint-sized old coot.

Honestly, I don't see why the Toa getting constantly trounced at this point in the game is a bad thing. All of them have lost their memories and experience in battle and they're still learning to work as a team. Toa teams have always been a bit dysfunctional, and this just seems to me like par for the course. The Toa losing to an experienced, powerful adversary is not meant to shame them. It's meant to prove that the Toa still have much to learn and how impressive Ekimu really is.

I've always loved underdog stories though. I'm all for ridiculously powerful villains with the odds tilted far in their favor going up against unexpected heroes, but that's just me. :P

Ekimu's video is on YouTube now, and there's a slight difference that I thought was interesting.  It doesn't have to do with the story at all, Ekimu's name is just visible in his first scene, where it isn't in the video from the website.  I wonder why they made that change.

This part of the video made my day:

I just love how the animations include cartoonish elements, they are so jolly.

Man, that's a big hit! Awesome! Reminds of G1, when Brutaka defeated the Toa Nuva and six Matoran from Voya Nui in one swing. Nostalgia.:) Anyway, Kulta is like Sauron when he puts on the Mask of Creation. The Toa seem to be losing.:(

The Skull villain videos are awesome, like the Skull Slicer one! The villains prove to be powerful opponents to the Toa. The animation are very nice! Plus, Pohatu seems to think that scorpions are always his archenemies.:P It's interesting that Skull Basher puts in Onua's de-powered mask. Ekimu is awesome, too. He may be a small guy, but it seems that he can defeat the Skull villains.:)

I like Lego, Bionicle, and Hero Factory!:)
