Bonkle
Hey guys! I just wanted to share a very simple Bionicle MOC I built. I'm not very good at making MOCs, so I wanted to build something intentionally simple. The new gearbox piece reminded me of the Toa Mata's torso, so I built a figure around that. Enjoy! These are the required pieces. With the exception of the piece below the gearbox, and the two black pins, I got all of these from Gali and Pohatu. First, put the two black pins in the holes on the piece below the gearbox. Attach it to the gearbox as shown. Attach the two light gray pieces as shown. Note that the gearbox switches orientation. Ignore the pieces at the top of this photo. All you need to do here is slide the balls and gears onto the axles. Attack the assemblies from the last step as shown. Slide a ball and bushing onto the tan axle. Attach it to the main assembly as shown. Slide a ball and bushing onto the other end. Put the last ball on the blue pin. Attach the assembly from the last step to the main body. You are done! From here, you can add whatever arms, legs and armor you like. I used these pieces: To make this guy: So that is my villager design. Feedback and constructive criticism are welcome and encouraged. Thanks for checking out my topic! Quote I been away a long time. The Invisible Handman
it's a bit too bare bones, it needs some form of torso armour. Quote {Brickshelf Page - BZPRPG Profile - HFRPG Profile - Project Protodermis Profile}
Bonkle
it's a bit too bare bones, it needs some form of torso armour.Normally I would agree with you, but that's what I was going for: the simple, skinny Toa Mata design. Thanks for viewing! Quote I been away a long time.
Ford
Looks like a neat concept to start off with. One could build off of this design by adding armor and even make the Matoran more individual. 1 Quote http://i.imgur.com/kbP5Svg.gifhttp://i.imgur.com/O8CcqC5.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/kbP5Svg.gif
Petewa
Very simplistic, kinda reminds me of a Takua that I built using a gearbox as the torso. 1 Quote Mataru Nui, an Interactive Adventure

I knew this was something I wanted to do as I had the gearbox in hand. Looks like a neat concept to start off with. I don't have many non-CCBS pieces. Quote I been away a long time.
Evergrey: Toa of Music
Very creative, but it does need a little more I think. Also you could've used short limbs like the protectors to at least give it the same amount of articulation as the protectors? Just a thought. Not a bad start, but as one person put it, it's a little "too bare bones." Again though, you've got a good start 1 Quote Other great bands: Iron Maiden Journey Mercenary The Unguided Trivium Boston Stratovarius Symphony X Epica

I am considering doing a redesign, but I really was trying to capture the feel of the Toa Mata, what with the gears and pistons and limited articulation. I know there are plenty of great Protector style MOCs, but I reallt wanted to make something simple and robot-like. 1 Quote I been away a long time. Evergrey: Toa of Music
Also, after looking at it again, what would the MoC look like if you reversed the body (the current back is now the front and the current back is now the front)? I feel like that could work a little more in your favor if you want the simple approach. 1 Quote Other great bands: Iron Maiden Journey Mercenary The Unguided Trivium Boston Stratovarius Symphony X Epica
The Hordika
Very nice. I kinda like the bare design, but I would put one piece of armor on the torso, just to make it look more built up. But it's a very good built. Just slap on a Protector mask and colored limbs, and you can make more Villagers to go with the Protectors 1 Quote I'm currently in the process of rewriting G2. The Hordika
Special Jala edition, per The Hordika's input: Now THAT'S a Man's Man! But, to be serious, that torso armor, to me, ties it all together and makes it flow a little better. Very nice, Bonkle. When I get some parts, I'll make Hewkii or Hahli 2 Quote I'm currently in the process of rewriting G2. PM me if interested.Feel free to follow the blog! I don't have those pieces at all, so I guess I'll just use CCBS limbs or something like that. 1 Quote I'm currently in the process of rewriting G2. PM me if interested.Feel free to follow the blog! Petewa
I've only got those limbs in Keetorange and Cracking, but Tiny Toa style limbs should do fine.Probably. 1 Quote Mataru Nui, an Interactive Adventure
The Hordika
Eh. I don't think I'll spend the unnecessary money on those when I can just use the CCBS pieces. I might have 'em done tomorrow, if I get around to it. 2 Quote I'm currently in the process of rewriting G2. PM me if interested.Feel free to follow the blog! The Hordika
Yay it's a Le-Koro guard: Very nice. If you ever get any HF arms in green, sub out the silver limbs for those. But other than that, good job! Quote I'm currently in the process of rewriting G2. PM me if interested.Feel free to follow the blog!
