-Windrider-
I've done a bit of topic surgery here, since "hype topics" aren't allowed. So I've reopened your old topic and merged it with the new one, since topic starters are allowed to revive their own topics. Everything should be in one place now and good to go! bionicleFanatic
Ooh, ta Windrider [] I had no idea you could reopen topics, I would have done so if I'd have known. Good news: we're 40% of the way there [] [] I'm going to start cleaning up the bugs today, because at this rate it'll be released by the weekend []
Ford
Is it possible to implement a chapter selection? I already played through the first two chapters, but when I started the game to preview chapter three, none of my progress was saved and I started back at the very beginning. If there isn't such function, I completely understand. It would probably require more work and more time that you do not have. I will get to chapter three eventually. bionicleFanatic
Hmm, that's weird. Technically, playerprefs should stay stored between game versions. There is a workaround, however: 1. Download this file. It's the data that a player has right after completing chapter II. https://www.dropbox.com/s/4jb2tj7wg3f7xs1/prefhost-0b9ngvy93yec6tfpftwnxd2dkemc-okoto%20online%20game%20chapter%20iii_2eunity3d.upp?dl=0 2. Find your playerprefs folder. On windows it's at: %APPDATA%\Unity\WebPlayerPrefs\1ed96d4d5dc26350452ccb47580fce448afc81ac_2egoogledrive_2ecom and on a Mac it's at: ~/Library/Preferences/Unity/WebPlayerPrefs\1ed96d4d5dc26350452ccb47580fce448afc81ac_2egoogledrive_2ecom 3. After navigating to this folder, drop the newly downloaded .upp file into it. If you've opened and played OOG Chapter III beforehand, it might want you to replace a previous version of the save, which is fine to do. 4. Open OOG, and you'll be able to play right from where Chapter II left off. If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask []
Aison
I would be nice if you implement save or chapter selection (like in original MNOG). Is it also possible to create a local version of game to download (no more waiting for game to load ). Overall, the game is good, nice work on sprites etc. , music is well-implemented.My thoughts how to improve this game:- Add inventory? Through the game I can collect some of weapons, but only one of them at same time and they disappear after death and sometimes I can't collect them again.- The jump is a bit clunky (or maybe is fault of bad platform placement). I tend to just stupidly fall from platforms by accidentally hitting bottom of platform above me. Very annoying.- A quest system to track what you have to do would be very good addition to the game. I know it is hard to implement those things into the game, but just please consider it
bionicleFanatic
Thanks very much for the feedback! I didn't know people played it so much as to merit a downloadable version... [] I'm on it, and it will be up by tomorrow [] I'm afraid OOG has taken a backseat at the moment, and the devs at Fanatic Studios (Read: Just me, Mr. One Man Band []) are working on something a lot bigger and better than this game evercould be... B) Keep checking our site for more updates because when we release our latest project, Nothing Will Ever Be The Same...
evil_jaga_genius
Thanks very much for the feedback! I didn't know people played it so much as to merit a downloadable version... [ ] I'm on it, and it will be up by tomorrow [] I would jump out a window for an offline version. Thankfully I don't have to, now =P Quote Avatar by Nicholas Anderson (NickonAquaMagna)My blog: The Jaga's Nest
bionicleFanatic
Sorry for my tardiness, dropbox was throwing a temper tantrum [] Here are the downloads for both Mac and PC standalone versions: Mac:https://www.dropbox.com/s/23utk52tb4dmaik/Okoto%20Online%20Game%20Chapter%20III%20Standalone%20Mac.zip?dl=0 PC: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lbi0w0csw7e287w/Okoto%20Online%20Game%20Chapter%20III%20Standalone%20PC.zip?dl=0 This kinda negates the playthrough tally which I was keeping, but I don't particularly mind [] 1000 playthroughs is a good enough stopping point for me []
