Hero Profile:
Name: Lilith Specter - "The Wraith"

Powers and Abilities:

Primary:

Phasing: Lilith can phase through matter, and is able to fly while in this state unhindered by gravity or friction, and can get up to an acceleration of 20m/s2 with enough effort. How ever, she is vulnerable to energy weaponry while in this state, and even more so than normally due to the energy being able to pass through her entirely and damage internal systems where as normally her armour would protect her.

Invisibility: Lilith can become completely invisible, owing to a similar function as the one that gives her the ability to phase, except this one making her entirely phase through light, meaning it cannot reflect off of her. This function is separate from her matter phasing, although she can use both simultaneously.

Secondary:

Silent: Her body is built to be as silent as possible, which means that it has little in the way of noisy machinery or servos, and her armour is noise absorbent, meaning it tends not to make much noise when it makes contact with something.

Nimble: Lilith is quick and agile, which helps with her preferred style of close combat.

Weapon(s):

Stun batons: Lilith's close combat weapon of choice are two stun batons she is extremely efficient at using. These batons can knock out most opponents in only a few hits. They are connected to her powers, and phase through matter or light when she does.

Stun rifle: Lilith's long range projectile weapon of choice is a sniper rifle that fires powerful stun bolts. The rifle has several settings that allow her to adjust the intensity of the stun. The rifle is connected to her powers, and phases through matter or light when she does.

Silenced stun pistol: Lilith's short range projectile weapon of choice is a silenced pistol that fires powerful stun bolts. The pistol has several settings that allow her to adjust the intensity of the stun. The gun is connected to her powers, and phases through matter or light when she does.

Appearance:
Lilith has dark grey and gunmetal armour with white light lines that form geometric patterns. She can turn these light lines off for stealth purposes. She is average in height, and quite slim. Her hero core and eyes glow in lilac.

Bio:

Lilith was built as a well-rounded stealth hero, although she decided to do regular hero duties instead, thinking of herself as a support hero to those heroes that have a more direct approach. She is amiable, and not very confrontational, although enraging her (as difficult as that can be) can lead to horrible consequences. She despises those heroes that do not hesitate to kill others, viewing killing as revolting and abhorrent.

OOC: I added the clarification that she's more vulnerable to energy weaponry while in her phasing state as a counterbalance to her invulnerability to physical weaponry while in that state.

Job/Location: Frank works as a forensic scientist at Hero Factory, and spends his time at the forensics lab at the factory when not on break.

Bio: Franklin's past is not well known, but he came to the Factory some years ago, offering his knowledge of robotic anatomy to the Factory. Soon enough, he got a job as a forensics scientist for the Factory, and now spends most of his time at the factory. He has a secret that is unknown to almost everyone. OOC: So, since this mission seems to be wrapping up, I finally thought to have a look back at the objectives for this mission...

Hero Objectives:

-Find out how and why the beasts are being controlled by the evil brains.

-Free the beasts from the brains' control.

-Find out what underhanded and devious things are going on at the conference.

-Defeat any villains that may be involved.

-Avoid stirring up a mass panic at the conference.

-Protect Mr. Makuro from harm.

Villain Objectives:

-Conceal the facts/hide from the heroes the information behind everything.

-Ensure that the beasts overrun the conference and kill the civilians.

-Encourage the villainous organizations to work together to beat Hero Factory.

-SECRET OBJECTIVE

-SECRET OBJECTIVE

Overall, it seems that both sides have managed to achieve some partial successes, and complete failures. My only question now is this - what were the secret villain objectives, and did they actually succeed in either of them?

OOC: This is actually pretty obvious. The first was "Encourage Hero Factory to cut off the Antropolis Power Supply." and the second was "Steal or destroy Makuro's Brain attacking weapon."

The destruction of the conference hall was hidden under "-Ensure that the beasts overrun the conference and kill the civilians."

And so, just for fun:

Hero Objectives:

-Find out how and why the beasts are being controlled by the evil brains. MOSTLY FAILED. The entire goal of the Brain Master's plans...there was a lot more going on there than just the weapon, but the Heroes never figured it out. However, they did manage to stop it by freeing the Queen Beast and enough of the others to make it untenable.

-Free the beasts from the brains' control. SUCCESS

-Find out what underhanded and devious things are going on at the conference. FAILURE. The conference never went on, so...

-Defeat any villains that may be involved. A SURPRISE SUCCESS...I actually thought this one wasn't going to happen, but the events conspired so that lady villain is dead. Also you managed to stop the brain master through sheer incompetence.

-Avoid stirring up a mass panic at the conference. FAILURE

-Protect Mr. Makuro from harm. SUCCESS...I guess?

Villain Objectives:

-Conceal the facts/hide from the heroes the information behind everything. SUCCESS

-Ensure that the beasts overrun the conference and kill the civilians. MOSTLY FAILED...the civilians escaped. But the conference was destroyed.

-Encourage the villainous organizations to work together to beat Hero Factory. ??? - this plot never worked because the conference didn't happen. So it's still unknown. There was a mechanism that COULD HAVE BEEN used to save the confrence and allow it to continue that wasn't used, thus allowing the brain master's bigger plot to be uncovered (and the other stuff) but alas, nope.

-SECRET OBJECTIVE FAILURE

-SECRET OBJECTIVE SUCCESS

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

And good old Traferous' stuff is setup for Mission #3. As for whether these failures are going to bite HF, probably.

Franklin approved. Lilith not approved due to impractical power description.

If Lilith's phased form is unhindered by gravity, this character will likely fall through the floor or off into space. Also, if light can't reflect off her, she will likely be blind. What does "phase through light" mean? Further, she's going to be hard to see intangible anyway.

Particle separators in HF are actually cannon, so a Hero having one built in as an intangibility power doesn't bother me. It's the weird way these powers are worded that doesn't make any sense.

OOC: Just remove the weird statement about gravity and use a standard invisibility device without all the mess.

Also, not approved due to the fact that this character has three powers (intangibility, invisibility, and flight) when Heroes are only allowed two. And the last Hero with silence + invisibility had a power limitation added onto it. Now you're adding intangibility and flight onto that?

OOC: Better?

Edit: I needed to rectify Frank's job description. And just to be clear, the hero factory forensics department idea came from Zippy. Just thought I'd make it clear, even though I'm changing Frank's job title to something else.

IC: Sir Reginald Buckley - Hero Factory.

"...and then, I slapped the cuffs on 'im. You see, chaps, back in my day we didn't have those fancy flying cuffs like you do now. We had to take down the villains first, and then attach the cuffs ourselves," The rookies before him looked decidedly bored, but he didn't care. History was important. If these rookies couldn't appreciate the and respect efforts of the heroes who'd come before them, then they were undeserving of the title. "After that, I..."

"Oh, would you look at the time!" one of the rookies suddenly spoke up, "I've gotta go!"

"Me too!" another all but ran from the room.

"Hope you collapse into rust, old man!"

The floodgate of excuses and insults spilled open, and within moments Reginald found himself alone in the empty classroom. "Bunch of disrespectful little tools," he grumbled, picking up his things with a sigh, "They'll see... one day they'll see..."

GM NPC ZIB

"That's a good idea. I'll send Breeze to work with the group. Her and Bulk and maybe Flood..." the mission chief trailed off. "I mean, you do have explosives. Vex - you could use those to widen the land passage down to the turbines."

"Meanwhile, you might want to arrest that Makuro impersonator now."

He switched channels. "Breeze, if that boat is clear, I need your beast communication skills. Flood, remember that turbine you wrecked? Well I'm going to need you to rescue some intact this time. Ferro and Furno, you might as well go along - Ferro, your magnetic powers could be useful. Apparently some villain teleported the Antropolis power turbines to these coordinates." He sent those to the group. You can get down there via this hole in the ground here" - he sent more coordinates. "Any questions? Sorry I'm so snappy."

GM IC TRAFEROUS

Traferous absorbed the anti-quaza back into his system. While his system contained more quaza than anti-quaza for just this sort of situation, he wondered if he was going to run out of it soon. That stuff was expensive.

He started back - only to realize he hadn't been paying attention to the flashlight-wavers. None were near him now, thankfully...

GM IC ??? - BRAIN MASTER - ON HIS SHIP

The two beings stood over their consoles. The brain master seethed and pounded his fist on a console, then remembered that anger was a weakness he could not afford.  The Heroes of the Hero Factory had proved too stupid to be manipulated.

Their incompetence was so laughable - they were clearly unworthy subjects of his galactic empire. That meant that they must be destroyed utterly from the face of the galaxy. Their weapon was simply another reason.

There was no burning anger in this moment. Only cold calculation. "Ready the Destroyers. We're going to Makuro city."

GM IC ??? - UNKNOWN

A civilian? One of his top research scientists, collaborating with...who was that civilian?

And that Hero - he looked familiar. Ah, yes, the Tranquis VII cameras. Saracen.

Stressed and excited, the shadowy entity composed an email, posting a big reward for the head of the sharpshooting Hero. You're not getting away this time.

But who was that civilian?

GM NPC STORMER

"Get him out of here!" Stormer said into his comms to Nex, abruptly releasing the pressure on his block, hoping the force the villain was exerting would cause him to go past him.

IC Kaiba Blader, his sword screeched along Stormer's own, but Kaiba was not so easily fooled, as it slid along, he threw his elbow forward, catching the Alpha leader off guard. Stormer stumbled back a step as Kaiba advanced once more.

"You've gotten sloppy, Stormer."

GM NPC STORMER

"Not near as sloppy as bumbling into a city and wasting the time of the people who are trying to help." Stormer said, moving away from the pit and drawing his blade toward the villain's throat.

OOC: Not entirely sure if I appreciate every villain in the game suddenly being given carte blanche to try to kill Saracen, but I guess it's just one of the occupational hazards of playing as a hero character.

IC: Markus Vex - Crater Edge.

"Not sure the beasts are going to appreciate me blowing more holes in their home," he grunted, scanning the crowd for any sign of the fake Makuro, "So I think I'll just focus on the arresting part." Spotting the being hauling his way up out of the crater, he closed in. "Mr Makuro, it's not safe here. I need to evacuate you to another location..." he reached down to offer him a hand.

OOC: Also, more of a general thing, but has Anamnesis just being forgotten by the people who captured him? I'd think if a murderer had just rampaged through Hero Factory, priority one would be putting him in a cell... not leaving him lying in a corridor for anyone to trip over...

OOC: Not every villain. Not even most villains. His email audience is considerable, but he's a little unhinged - some won't even listen to him.

It's a galactic conspiracy subset - has nothing to do with the other two groups. And just because he wants it done doesn't mean he will succeed. It doesn't affect the other PC villains or the RPG rules, which I have to abide by in terms of killing player characters and such courtesy and whatnot.

IC: Nimius Ardor

Location: Tranquis VII

The hero carefully articulated his damaged shoulder, making sure it would not fail him if he were to get into a rough spot any time soon. He decided heading to the hospital, the place where he'd read in the mission report most of the action had taken place, was a good way to go. Surely if there wasn't anyone back there in the underground base trying to salvage the operation, at least there would be repair supplies to help him patch up his busted up shoulder.

Entering the hospital foyer, he instantly noticed a healer bot sweeping away at the debris and dust that littered the hospital floors. Nimius remembered a small entry in the mission report about a healer bot. Perhaps this was the one Abacus had hacked. If so, it would be inclined to help him. He approached the healer bot cautiously, waving awkwardly at it as a greeting.

IC: Captor

Location: Secret passageway on ship

Captor walked up to the glass panel and peered through, trying to identify or at least get a better view of whoever was behind it.

OOC: Aight I've got Thumper and Quiver waiting on a post, and Quark I'm not going to post for until Cor's had time to move Wolfe, so I guess that leaves Fakuro and Flood. Before I do, though: Two new characters! Yaaay! Render's the other veteran Hero on Quark's team, and Mona is mostly so Hero characters can analyse junk and maybe bother her instead of Zib sometimes. Poor guy's overworked. He deserves a raise.

Hero

Name: Ken Render

Powers and Abilities: Render specialises in demolition, bomb disposal, any task that involves physically taking things apart and/or putting them back together again. He’s also fairly experienced with his blaster. Hehas some minor experience with coding, which he is currently passing on to the rookie on his team.

Weapon(s): Render carries a blaster that looks like an old revolver. He also carries with him equipment for his specialisation- the tools required for taking apart electronics and machinery, and some rudimentary explosives for bigger targets such as walls. He will often refrain from using explosives in a fight due to the massive risk of killing or seriously injuring his opponent, and will only use them either in an extreme emergency or if there is absolutely no risk of fatal injuries.

Appearance: Render is fairly wiry, for getting into cramped places or other areas bulkier-armoured Heroes would not be able to fit in easily. He does have an alternate, bulkier set of plating ready in the Refitting Tower for bomb disposal missions, but more often than not he’s thinner-plated. If the bomb situation is extremely urgent, he’ll often forego refitting entirely.

His core and eyes are blue, and he is plated in brown and white shades. He’s often wearing a wistful expression, and occasionally chews wires the way one would chew a stalk of wheat. I don't have a terrible MSPaint rendition of him just yet because the tool I have on hand to draw with is a trackpad, but if it's any help, his design process began with "Well, if Quark's Buzz Lightyear, does that make him Sheriff Woody?".

Bio: Way back when, as a rookie, Render was put under the tutelage of Dorothy Quark, who was by then well-established as a skilled Hero, if a little stern. They and a third Hero formed an excellent team, often working space missions and excelling brilliantly, and stayed as a team for many years, occasionally taking rookies and passing them to other teams as they grew better at their Hero duties and found a niche they could fit into.

Finally, after an incident which ended in the demise of two rookies and the third member of their team, both remaining Heroes were hit hard. Render, though he embraces that what happened was not anyone’s fault, still cannot help but blame himself. There is some self-imposed tension between he and Quark because of this, as he feels she must blame him for the incident.

Render is otherwise a laid-back, friendly Hero, and will always lend a hand to someone in need. He has a weakness for Wild West movies, and will occasionally help out in the ship repair bay in his free time, fixing up ships, or working on consoles around the place.

~

Civilian

Name: "Morbid” Mona Selphi

Job/Location: Selphi works in the forensics lab at Hero Factory. There is limited knowledge on where, exactly, she lives. Some theorise that she must live somewhere in the Hero Factory itself, if not on the lab floor, then in some forgotten janitor’s closet or storage room. Her co-workers are pretty sure she lives in Makuhero City.

Bio: Sometimes, there will be a crime that requires analysis of recovered evidence in Makuhero City. Sometimes, on a planet with suspicions of a corrupt government or police, sending evidence to such a place for analysis would run a high risk of tampering or worse. Sometimes, Heroes may be investigating on a planet with no police equivalent in sight. Or, sometimes, other planets may need a place to send data for analysis because their own forensics department is nonexistent or too small or not advanced enough to handle such a request.

This is where Mona Selphi and the Hero Factory Forensics Department come in. Selphi herself is a jack of all trades in terms of forensic techniques, and is one of the few who cared to study both mechanical and organic forensics. Despite popular belief, forensics is not all about murders- Selphi can also handle fingerprint analysis, chemical analysis, paint chip matching, alloy matching, pretty much any data a crime scene can throw her way. She’s always very happy to answer calls from Heroes to analyse anything they’ve found!

Selphi is a very cheery, bright individual, and takes a lot of joy in her work. Most people agree that she is too into forensic entomology for the interest to be anything below unsettling. She’s very keen to help, but will absolutely drop everything she is currently tasked with if asked to analyse native insects or identify a beetle found in a suspicious place. Nevertheless, she’s a sharp mind and a helpful soul. She’s just... a little too keen, sometimes.

She is plated in white and light blues, and wears a labcoat to prevent chemical staining. She will often wear badges on this coat, usually of various insects though she has been spotted sporting the Hero Factory logo, a smiley face, and other such normalities alongside anatomically accurate Meroxian ants and Yurokian death beetles.

~

OOC: So yeah my end goal is obviously to fill the HF RPG with nerds and Toy Story references.

~

IC: Wilbur Flood - Boat

Flood didn't mention how busting up the turbine had technically been Furno's idea; he didn't want to get the Alpha Team Hero in trouble, and besides, passing blame around wasn't going to help anyone. He'd agreed, anyway. He nodded to himself. "Thank you, Zib. I'll do my best to refrain from destroying any future turbines."

He turned to the others. "It seems we have some choice in where to go. Any preferences as to a starting point?"

~

IC: ??? - With Vex

He took it hesitantly and climbed up. "Um, yes, thank you, Hero."

He wasn't entirely sure what was going on in the Hero's head, but he wasn't sure he was going to like the end result. He dusted himself off and said, "Well, I wouldn't mind a bit of quiet, after that exciting adventure. What safe location did you have in mind?"

"In prison," he snapped, pulling out his cuffs and letting them fly from his grip to home in on the fake, "Impostor."

IC: ??? - With Vex

He looked at the cuffs, and then at Vex. He at first scowled, which wound back into a frown, and then he sighed. With a sound not unlike the clearing of a throat, there was an audible click from somewhere within his neck, and when he next spoke his voice was several octaves deeper and with a coarse, snarly accent.

"Okay, bud," he grumbled. "Ya caught me. Whoop di doo. You proud or somethin'?"

IC: Markus Vex - Crater Edge.

"Well, now that you ask, no." He sighed dejectedly. "You didn't even put up a fight." Quickly recovering from his momentary but of sulkiness, he continued, "So Mister, are you gonna tell me who you really are, and what you hoped to achieve in impersonating Mr Makuro..." he whipped out his knife, lettin the jagged edge glimmer in the sunlight, "...or will I have to make you?"

His eyes widened at the knife, and he raised his hands and stepped back a little. "Hey, hey, whoa there, buddy! No need to wave that thing around, ya've already got me in cuffs, what'm I gonna do, jangle 'em at ya?! Look, just lemme grab my wallet, I got my spaceship licence in there. Yer free to take it and put it through yer Heropedia and see what ya get."

He slowly moved one hand for a pocket in his robe, and when Vex didn't make any further moves to dissuade him, he fumbled for his wallet, all the while grumbling about law suits and the risks of putting an eye out of functioning one of these days while waving a knife like that. Finally, he managed to get his hands on it and held it out to Vex.

IC: Vex

Were Vex to put the name on the identification card through Heropedia, he'd find...

Villain Profile:
Name: Orukam Amayika

Powers, Abilities, & Weapons: Amayika is, as villains go, pretty harmless. He doesn’t seek to hurt people, after all. No, his crimes are a little more... odd. Amayika has undergone many, many modifications, to the point where he looks exactly like Hero Factory founder and inventor extraordinaire, Akiyama Makuro. He uses his looks to get into restricted events and make a fool of himself. While technically harmless to the galaxy at large, he is murder on Hero Factory’s PR group.
He has an arbitrary blaster, in case things get rough. He's not a fighty kind of villain, he usually attempts to flee when he's found out.

Appearance: He literally looks exactly like Makuro. Even his inner circuitry closely mirrors it- however, in the interest of not making a totally overpowered character in this regard, I’ll say a really experienced techie could spot the difference.

Bio: Amayika was an actor, a very long time ago. He attempted to get a part as- you guessed it- Makuro, in a pretty prolific movie, but was rejected for not looking enough like the robot in question. Amayika has always been a touch too dramatic, and so vowed to become so much like the millionaire inventor that they’d have to hire him. By the time he decided he looked close enough, however, they had already filmed the movie- they simply asked Makuro to play himself. Angered by Makuro stealing his part, Amayika found his own petty form of revenge- dedicating his life to making Makuro look like a fool.
Amayika is very overdramatic and self-absorbed when not acting his part. When pretending to be Makuro, he’s convincing enough to fool acquaintances. Closer friends and cohorts would probably be able to tell fairly quickly that he’s not Makuro, or at the very least that he’s not acting like himself. The longer they spend with him, the quicker the illusion fades.
Since he’s not paid all that much on his revenge scheme, he works part-time performing at various Villain hangouts. They think he’s a hoot, and he gets by pretty well.

IC: Orukam Amayika - With Vex

"Before ya ask," Amayika said, gesturing to his throat. "Voice trick? All legal. Actor's box. Saved up my first couple paychecks fer one. Gedda voice program, gedda techie ta stick it in, badda bing badda boom, new voice. Good fer if ya godda role wiv' a dif'rent pitch, or a character from some udder system's accent. Got the udder voice from some kid I found through Herobook fer a pretty penny. And yeah, these're the only two on the box. Haven't had need fer much else, too much bother ta get anudder one stuck in."

IC: Markus Vex - Crater Edge.

"You have got to be kidding me," he groaned, grumpily putting his knife back in its sheath. He'd been hoping this guy would turn out to actually be some kind of evil shapeshifting killing machine, or surgically enhanced infiltrator, or holographically disguised assassin... not a disgruntled actor with an overdose of jealousy programming. "Well, buddy, consider yourself officially under arrest."

IC: Markus Vex - Crater Edge.

For a moment, Markus seriously considered murdering the guy.

It would be so easy. Just give him a little nudge, send him tumbling over the crater edge, into the acid pit below. There'd be nothing left of him. No body, no evidence. The perfect crime. He could just pretend the guy had escaped or something, and go on with his life pretending this awkward incident had never taken place.

Except there was still a crowd, and they still had cameras. He couldn't do it, no matter how much he wanted to.

"You have the right to remain silent," he finally replied, gruff and grumpy, "I suggest you make use of it."

"Ya can't just go arrestin' anyone off the street! 'Specially not fer no reason! You'll be hearin' from my lawyer!" Amayika was going to snap at the Hero some more, but then he spotted something the Hero had briefly glanced at: the media. He shot them his best Makuro grin, making sure his handcuffs would be in any shot they took, before turning his head back to Vex. "I ain't done nothin' yet. Why're you takin' me in? I wasn't here to get in on none of this drama."

"Rude. Very rude." Nevertheless, he began grumpily shuffling off towards the street. "Look, I got nuddin' against you Heroes. It's yer job, right? You do good. Couple Heroes helped me when some schmucks broke into my house way back when. Only yer boss I godda problem wiv'- and I don't want him dead! Just, ya know, thought of as a giant jerk. He nodded to the pit. "This stuff? Not my deal. Wasn't even meant ta be anywhere near here, bud."

IC: Lilith Specter & Titanos Forticus

Location: Hero Factory

Lilith had been stuck with moving an already apprehended villain to the holding cells. What a laugh. As if she didn't have anything better to do with her time than play clean-up. Oh well, here she was, standing right in front of the villain Anamnesis, lying cuffed and paralysed on the ground in front of the elevator. Well then, time to hau... wait, was that Titanos walking towards her? "Uh, hey, you here to pick up this scumbag?"

"Yeah... You too? I guess they didn't want to take chances with what this guy is capable of and all." Titanos rubbed the back of his neck; a gesture of awkwardness. He then proceeded to picking up the dejected villain by the cuffs, and started off in the general direction of the holding cells. Lilith walked after him, happy to not have to be the one dragging the guy along the floor.

IC: Epix - Conference Hall (Ruins)

Scowling as he activated his communicator, Epix opened his mouth and began to speak.

"Does anyone have eyes on the package? I repeat, is Mr. Makuro safe?"

And that's when he noticed the battle that Stormer was involved in... or, more acurately, the individual that the Alpha Team Leader happened to be fighting.

Kaiba Blader...

The file on him had existed almost as long as the Factory itself. In essence, he had been the first Agent to go rogue, long before the Assembly Tower had even spat out The Recall, though history would ensure that he wouldn't be the last. The Hero had gone up against numerous simulations based off of him during his own time as a Rookie, so even in his damaged state, it was completely understandable that he wasn't about to pass up the chance to test his skills against the genuine article.

The only thing that had him even slightly concerned was whether or not everybody's favorite poster-child was going to prevent him from doing what needed to be done.

Clenching his fist in anticipation, Epix tore his scythe out of the ground, tossing the broken remains of the invention towards one of the other nearby Heroes as he started off towards the duo, mentally preparing himself for the upcoming battle.

OOC: If Focus had left the hanger with the others in order to track down Anamnesis, he could've arrived at their location in the hallways in time to see Kat dive into an elevator shaft in order to apprehend him, only to lose her legs to a passing elevator as they emerged. And possibly Riot taking her to the infirmary.

In the event that he showed up late, he'd still probably see Lilith and Titanos preparing to take him to lockup, though, as that is still currently happening.

IC: Splint

He'd allowed the other medbots to answer the questions directed at him. Focusing on making sure that his patient had no other life-threatening injuries was more important. Thankfully, other than the missing legs and severe core drain, she only had normal battle damage. The other two medbots had finished dressing the leg wounds and had bolted temporary metal plates to the stumps. He put the diagnostic tool down.

"We'll have to get you new legs fabricated. Other than that, you don't need any major repairs. Just rest for now."

He walked over to a console and sent the Assembly Tower Department of Manufacturing a request for a pair of legs matching Katherine's blueprint. While the repair bays could build her new legs, it'd be far, far faster to get them from the Tower.

IC: FOCUS [HALLWAY]

Finally entering the hallway (with no idea where Echo or the civilian workers had gone), Focus spotted two other Heroes that his sensors identified as Lilith and Titanos prepping a villain for lockup.

So they had succeeded, then.

For now.

He jogged towards them, slowing down as he neared.

"We got them, then?"

"Apparently, just some boring old disgruntled actor..." he tossed him a data tablet with the villain's heropedia page still open, "...which is lame." Still, it was an awful big coincidence that the guy had shown up in the same place as the real Makuro right as the Brain Master made an attempt on the old man's life.

IC Striker:

He looked over the datapad, shooting sidelong glances at both Vex and Orukam.

"So.... what are we actually taking him in for?"

IC Kaiba Blader:

"The thing about that," the proto hero said as he brought his left arm up to smack away the blade, "Is that I don't care anymore."

He stepped forward, and brought his right knee up to try and catch the younger hero in the gut.

"Look at it this way, Striker," he paused, turning to look at the other hero, "A guy who just happens to look exactly like Mr Makuro shows up in the same place that the real Mr Makuro is visiting, right as it comes under attack from a bunch of guys who hate hero factory and would like nothing more than to see Makuro killed. Seems like an awful big coincidence to me." He twirled his knife boredly, "We take him in for questioning. If it turns out he's telling the truth, then he gets let go, no harm done. But under these circumstances, I'd argue that it's better to be safe than sorry."

IC: Shade - Pit Area

Shade lingered for a moment thinking of all sorts of fun things one could do if one owned a personal, life-sized, walking, and talking Mr. Makuro imitation. The possibilities were endless; Shade's thoughts wandered from a live screaming dart board to a punching bag to a bout of assassination practice. Laughing soundlessly, he made his way after Epix to see what sort of help he could lend in the battle against a villain Shade had never seen before.
