OOC: Happy Australian New Year everyone! Also, Nato, regardless of your involvement, you've made some pretty good points regarding the newest developments, so I don't know if we should just disregard them like that. But, as Fishers has said, we will just descend further into a mess of nulled posts otherwise and allowing it is really just the best option right now. My recommendation, though, is to maybe fix up the radioactive material just lying there out in the open. As I said earlier, it being unguarded is arguably fine if the police officers are unaware of it- and I think they must be, since they really wouldn't have a use for it and would probably get rid of it otherwise- but I'd assume you'd want it in an Eski in a safe place or something.

Also, I'm super sorry to PyroLizard Prime for having to wait for my part of the Thumper/Scourge fight because of this. Thank you for your patience.

OOC: So let me get this straight. As of now I am in the tunnel way and you are not preforming that wrestling move? If that is the case then I'm sorry for possibly breaking the rules and let's just say Quake is gonna get a little easier to deal with.

Z, it might do for you to respond to this. I'm pretty sure that the answer to masterchirox's question is yes.

IC: Eloise Thumper and Mara Quiver - Police Station

Thumper grunted, still glaring at where the figure had disappeared. A murderer getting away was never a good thing, and not something to take pride in. Still, she'd done the best she could. She glanced sadly to the officers lying on the ground, those that could be helped already being tended to by a few of their comrades, before approaching Quiver again. The poor rookie was shivering, so she bent just enough to see eye to eye with her.

"You did what you could," Thumper said softly. "You're still learning, pequeño, and you're not to blame for what that villain did. But right now, they're on the roof, and we need to get right out there and see if we can catch them before they leave. I need those fancy sensors of yours."

Quiver hesitated, but nodded. She had failed too much this mission- she had a clear shot while the villain was gloating, but she couldn't make herself move to try and shoot. Thumper smiled and headed swiftly for the chief, Quiver right on her heels.

"We're sorry for what happened to your officers, but we might still be able to catch the villain outside," Thumper said quickly. "And there's the other, more shootey, villain- they disappeared and made a big hole in your pavement. They could still be outside somewhere, too."

GM NPC DRAX

"Don't remind me," grumbled Drax. He poked his head back into his office. "Call Mechron Emergency - we've got a bunch of bots down in here, and a couple for the morgue."

He then turned back to Thumper. "I think you should go track down the villains outside, and get her away from the mess in here. Me and my men will try to handle Underground Boy."

OOC: Not entirely sure if I appreciate every villain in the game suddenly being given carte blanche to try to kill Saracen, but I guess it's just one of the occupational hazards of playing as a hero character.

OOC: Aw, that's not nearly as fun. :(

OOC: First you complain about all the villains in the game trying to kill your character, then when I tell you that they aren't going to kill your character, you complain about that, too?

GMing a RPG is a hard job. :P

GM NPC HEALER BOT (NEAR NIMUS)

The bot stopped its sweeping pattern and cautiously approached the Hero. It looked to the civilians around him for permission.

GM NPC RECEPTIONIST

The receptionist approached the Hero. "We didn't send for any Heroes," she said. "Is there a problem?"

GM NPC HEALER BOT

The healer bot pointed to the Hero's damaged shoulder.

GM NPC RECEPTIONIST

She nodded.

GM NPC HEALER BOT

The bot went to work on Nimus' shoulder.

---------------------------

GM IC CAPTOR

The being behind the glass panel was some sort of humanoid, made of black metal with silver accents. Its eyes and core glowed red.

GM IC DR. LIE

The doctor opened the other secret passageway door (where Captor was), only to see...nothing. He grabbed the engine room door and thrust his head inside, then closed it with an annoyed glare of disgust. He tapped a small panel next to the door. "Fravi, we have a Code 45 down here."

He then turned to Crowley. "That's just our way of saying 'suspected intruder aboard ship.'"

---------------------------

GM NPC QUADAL

Quadal sent Unit some data. The Assembly Tower wasn't seeing a bunch of business with Mr. Makuro out. They would be able to get the legs sent over in about a half hour.

----------------------------

GM NPC STORMER

Stormer moved towards the building next to them, dodging the kick, and moved his shield to avoid Kaiba kicking him in the side with his upraised leg. His other sword arm stabbed toward the Proto-Hero's neck.

---------------------------

OOC: Aight I've got Thumper and Quiver waiting on a post, and Quark I'm not going to post for until Cor's had time to move Wolfe, so I guess that leaves Fakuro and Flood. Before I do, though: Two new characters! Yaaay! Render's the other veteran Hero on Quark's team, and Mona is mostly so Hero characters can analyse junk and maybe bother her instead of Zib sometimes. Poor guy's overworked. He deserves a raise.

Hero

Name: Ken Render

Powers and Abilities: Render specialises in demolition, bomb disposal, any task that involves physically taking things apart and/or putting them back together again. He’s also fairly experienced with his blaster. Hehas some minor experience with coding, which he is currently passing on to the rookie on his team.

Weapon(s): Render carries a blaster that looks like an old revolver. He also carries with him equipment for his specialisation- the tools required for taking apart electronics and machinery, and some rudimentary explosives for bigger targets such as walls. He will often refrain from using explosives in a fight due to the massive risk of killing or seriously injuring his opponent, and will only use them either in an extreme emergency or if there is absolutely no risk of fatal injuries.

Appearance: Render is fairly wiry, for getting into cramped places or other areas bulkier-armoured Heroes would not be able to fit in easily. He does have an alternate, bulkier set of plating ready in the Refitting Tower for bomb disposal missions, but more often than not he’s thinner-plated. If the bomb situation is extremely urgent, he’ll often forego refitting entirely.

His core and eyes are blue, and he is plated in brown and white shades. He’s often wearing a wistful expression, and occasionally chews wires the way one would chew a stalk of wheat. I don't have a terrible MSPaint rendition of him just yet because the tool I have on hand to draw with is a trackpad, but if it's any help, his design process began with "Well, if Quark's Buzz Lightyear, does that make him Sheriff Woody?".

Bio: Way back when, as a rookie, Render was put under the tutelage of Dorothy Quark, who was by then well-established as a skilled Hero, if a little stern. They and a third Hero formed an excellent team, often working space missions and excelling brilliantly, and stayed as a team for many years, occasionally taking rookies and passing them to other teams as they grew better at their Hero duties and found a niche they could fit into.

Finally, after an incident which ended in the demise of two rookies and the third member of their team, both remaining Heroes were hit hard. Render, though he embraces that what happened was not anyone’s fault, still cannot help but blame himself. There is some self-imposed tension between he and Quark because of this, as he feels she must blame him for the incident.

Render is otherwise a laid-back, friendly Hero, and will always lend a hand to someone in need. He has a weakness for Wild West movies, and will occasionally help out in the ship repair bay in his free time, fixing up ships, or working on consoles around the place.

Civilian

Name: "Morbid” Mona Selphi

Job/Location: Selphi works in the forensics lab at Hero Factory. There is limited knowledge on where, exactly, she lives. Some theorise that she must live somewhere in the Hero Factory itself, if not on the lab floor, then in some forgotten janitor’s closet or storage room. Her co-workers are pretty sure she lives in Makuhero City.

Bio: Sometimes, there will be a crime that requires analysis of recovered evidence in Makuhero City. Sometimes, on a planet with suspicions of a corrupt government or police, sending evidence to such a place for analysis would run a high risk of tampering or worse. Sometimes, Heroes may be investigating on a planet with no police equivalent in sight. Or, sometimes, other planets may need a place to send data for analysis because their own forensics department is nonexistent or too small or not advanced enough to handle such a request.

This is where Mona Selphi and the Hero Factory Forensics Department come in. Selphi herself is a jack of all trades in terms of forensic techniques, and is one of the few who cared to study both mechanical and organic forensics. Despite popular belief, forensics is not all about murders- Selphi can also handle fingerprint analysis, chemical analysis, paint chip matching, alloy matching, pretty much any data a crime scene can throw her way. She’s always very happy to answer calls from Heroes to analyse anything they’ve found!

Selphi is a very cheery, bright individual, and takes a lot of joy in her work. Most people agree that she is too into forensic entomology for the interest to be anything below unsettling. She’s very keen to help, but will absolutely drop everything she is currently tasked with if asked to analyse native insects or identify a beetle found in a suspicious place. Nevertheless, she’s a sharp mind and a helpful soul. She’s just... a little too keen, sometimes.

She is plated in white and light blues, and wears a labcoat to prevent chemical staining. She will often wear badges on this coat, usually of various insects though she has been spotted sporting the Hero Factory logo, a smiley face, and other such normalities alongside anatomically accurate Meroxian ants and Yurokian death beetles.

OOC: So yeah my end goal is obviously to fill the HF RPG with nerds and Toy Story references.

Both characters approved.

Evil plan to turn HF RPG into a nerd version of Toy Story: not approved. Although, if we think about it TOO hard, HF is nerd Toy Story IN SPAAAACE!!!

OOC: Nah, it's just that based on the way most PC villains have dismally failed at working together thus far, watching a whole bunch of disorganised, bickering PCs all scrambling over each other while vying for Saracen's head would have been hugely entertaining.

Speaking of witnesses... is Cobra Shard seriously making an unprovoked attack on a paralysed, defeated, completely unarmed and utterly defenceless prisoner? The phrase "police brutality" springs to mind, for some reason...

IC: Jason Ferro- Cargo ship's deck

"Oh... I knew that. I was simply clarifying that I was coming... Because, you know, he said "might as well", so... He didn't say for sure that I had to... You know what, I think I'll just stop talking, now..."

Ferro hated it when he misunderstood people. He knew he was far from the brightest hero, but he wasn't the dumbest, either. The misunderstandings however, happened often enough that he was sure people were questioning his intelligence by now.

OOC: Oops, thought that was clarified already. That's okay. The answer is definitely yes, the wrestling move was nulled because I was mistaken in thinking Kavok Quake was entering the police station. He can wander to his heart's content... until the police arrive.

IC: Eloise Thumper and Mara Quiver - Police Station

"Thank you," Thumper said to the chief. "We'll do that."

She and Quiver headed outside. It was quiet, though that didn't put Quiver's core at ease; she still couldn't quell her shaking. Her mind kept wandering to the fight in the police station. Thumper backed up a bit to try and see on the roof. "Gosh, that guy could turn invisible, right? I'm not sure how to spot them!"

Quiver went to join Thumper, but her eye was caught by something on the pavement. She walked over hesitantly, clutching her rifle. She jumped back almost immediately. "E-Ellie..."

Thumper was at her side almost immediately, both of them staring at the drops of purple-ish blood. Thumper frowned. "Looks familiar."

In glancing to Quiver to ask what she thought about the mystery fluid, she saw that her friend was covered in it. She nodded in understanding. "Ohhh. It's from the villain. Okay, so they got off the building! Good find, Mara!"

Quiver managed to release one hand from her gun to point. Thumper saw more drops, leading off into the distance. She grinned. "Awesome find, Mara! Let's go!"

With this, Thumper headed the charge along the trail, Quiver right behind, though she glanced back at the relative safety of the police station before following. Staying with Thumper was the safest option right now, even if they were heading for that terrifying villain. She stayed close to her larger friend as she ran.

IC: Wilbur Flood - Boat

Flood apparently didn't notice the other Hero's insecurity, or if he did, he didn't deem it polite to make a comment. He said, "Think nothing of it! Now, from what I understand, there are two turbines in the centre of the city. Perhaps we should head there first, and we can see where both of them are situated, and decide from there which one to attempt to move first."

OOC: well Focus says no to that then

IC: FOCUS [Hallway]

Shard would find his attack blocked entirely by the Hardlight Shield, activated by Focus. The shield flickered but held as the attack was deflected, keeping Focus, Lilith, Titanos and the prisoner safe from harm.

"Uh, I didn't exactly follow it. It's a worm."

The others looked at each other. Why was a Hero wondering about a worm that ate a rock?

"I saw it over there after it ate the rock," one of the rescuers said. "It was going that way." She pointed toward the spaceport.

GM IC TRAFEROUS

Traferous slithered down a hatch and into the sewers, shifting back into his usual form (minus the cape) to decend the ladder. Part of him really wanted to steal a car and drive through Mechron playing loud rock music, but he wasn't so keen on letting the conspiracy know who just pwned them.

And letting Hero Factory know - they might be able to use the knowledge against him somehow. He wasn't a fan. Instead, he settled for a dash through the passages as fast as possible, hoping he got there in time...

IC: Cobra Shard - Master of Police Brutality

Yes! The villain would feel the cold justice of Cobra Shar- WHAT?!

Shard took a step back in surprise as the incapacitated villain somehow formed a shield and blocked him! How could this be?! Recovering swiftly, the stupid rookie began blasting even MORE coolant at the killer! He would feeel the freeeze!!!

Wait a second... that shield wasn't coming from the murderer. It was coming from another Hero. For the second time, Shard stepped back. "Why are you doing that?" he snapped at Focus before realizing how dumb he must look running into a hallway and trying to freeze a villain who was already down. "Sorry," he mumbled indistinguishably, feeling slightly ashamed of himself.

IC: Echo - Hero Factory Hangar 44-B

Shard did indeed look pretty dumb as he ran into the hallway and tried to freeze a villain who was already down. Echo almost considered abandoning his post guarding Sharp and Flak to go explain to the new arrival the regulations against police brutality, but managed to restrain himself with a bit of willpower.

The fact that the mystery worm had snaked off in the direction of the spaceport immediately sent alarm bells ringing. None of what was going on made much sense to him right now, but whatever it was, it wasn't good. "Are rock-eating worms native to this planet?" he asked no one in particular, beginning to scour the wreckage for any sign of the evidence-eating creature.

IC Kaiba Blader:

The Proto Hero launched his kick at the shield anyway, shifting his body as it impacted the shield, shifting Stormer slightly, and letting the blade pass relatively harmlessly a few inches from his neck before jerking his left shoulder up and locking the blade in the place wher it occupied.

An unorthodox tactic, and one that would be reckless for anyone without enhanced strength as Kaiba was. His foot came back down, and his right arm shot forward at speed aiming to impale the Alpha leader in the chest.

OOC: I will make a Thumper/Quiver and a Flood post tomorrow, but before I go to bed tonight I did investigate what the planet Makuhero City is on is called. Had to rely on Heropedia, since HS01 is down and it was easier than going through all the episodes, and I was reminded that the planet is located in the Makuhero Belt, which is an asteroid belt! I remember reading about that ages ago, it must have slipped my mind. Anyway, as for an actual name, the best Heropedia can offer us is it's a small, rocky, asteroid-like planet in the Makuhero Belt. So, in cases like Rylinth's in which you need to reference the planet itself, you can just say 'the Makuhero Belt', I suppose.

EDIT: OOC: Yolo I'll just make a quick post.

IC: Wilbur Flood - Boat

Flood glanced to Furno. "If you don't have reservations about coming along- and I will understand if you do- could you use a break from flying the ship, or would you prefer to continue as pilot?"

~

IC: Eloise Thumper and Mara Quiver - Mechron City Streets

Following the trail, Thumper and Quiver arrived just as the villain climbed inside their ship. Thumper turned briefly to Quiver. "Stay back, and don't be afraid to shout or scream if you're in trouble."

"B-But-"

Quiver tried to say she didn't want to be alone, however irrational and foolish the notion was in this situation, but the words would not form and even her meagre protest was too soft to be heard as Thumper advanced on the ship and its engines started roaring to life. She immediately scrambled out of view of the ship behind a wall and strung her sensors on full alert so she would be as safe as possible on her own, and be ready to scream if needed. The feeds on the chemical content of the blood she was coated in came back full force, and she held her head in both hands, shaking awfully.

Those officers had died. She tried to push the thought away, but it kept coming back once her guard was down. She had watched the being destroy an officer, then two, then three, and when she shot... she could have killed someone.

Would that have been better? She couldn't believe that; that kind of thinking would make her no better than the murderer. She took a deep, shaky cycle of air, and was rewarded with her olfactory sensors informing her of the blood smell once again. She wanted to get rid of the smell. She felt a sudden, crushing urge to go home. Go home, wash off, and forget any of this ever happened.

She remembered what Thumper had said, and tried to keep those thoughts at the forefront of her mind instead as she peered into the street, watching Thumper stomp towards the ship. She wasn't far away, at least. Not far away at all.

Meanwhile, Thumper approached the front of the ship and eyed the plating. She settled with the direct route. She scrabbled to find a seam big enough to let her yank the hatch from the ship. "Get outta there or I'll come in and get you! You're under arrest, amigo! That means no flying off!"

~

OOC: I picture her as still standing on the ground while doing this, but I'm not sure what the ship looks like.

IC: Scourge- The Scourgemobile

Scourge was startled by the hero's yelling, but quickly regained it's composure. It knew that the hero would likely attempt to force her way in, but it was unconcerned. This ship had once been used to transport goods, and as such, was made to be quite durable, to protect against criminals. Quite ironic, considering it's current purpose. Now, if this hero's grip was as strong as it was before, she was about to go on the ride of her life...

Without warning, Scourge hit the gas pedal, causing the ship to rise several feet into the air, presumably lifting the hero off the ground. They then proceeded to turn the ship around as quickly as possible, in an attempt to fling the hero away, before lifting off into the skies of Mechron city.

IC Kaiba Blader:

Kaiba backed up, whirling his sword to intercept the blasts as he snarled. It was suitably dramatic and cool looking, as Kaiba was simply that sort of person.

He looked over his new opponent.

Weapon: Scythe? The tools they allowed these days......

Drones: Low level, stun blasters, if he had to guess. Definitely a nuisance. Whether they ran on their own battery or the Hero Core was up for debate.

Probably other unknown ability.

Hardly a threat alone, but paired with Stormer, this might prove problematic.

"Who are you supposed to be, hmm?"

IC: Shade - Battle Of The Old Ones

Shade had been right behind Epix and now stood several feet away from the battle torn between his two options of forward progress: Stay where he was, or lunge in with a leading back-stab on the villain. Normally, it would be easy. Normally, Shade would make the shot. But he had once sneaked into the simulation archives in Hero Factory and found that Epix had spent many many hours battling this same villain now facing them. To Shade, killing the eviloid all by himself seemed like stealing from the Recall. For now, he would spectate and intervene only if the heroes looked like they might lose.

IC: Eloise Thumper - You All Heard It, It's The Scourgemobile, It's Canon

Though Thumper was still on the ground, she had just made her own handhold big enough for her mighty gloves and was making good work of the hatch when the ship lifted. The whip around caused her heavy body to slam against the side of the ship, causing a sizeable dent, before the metal she was clutching gave way and caused her to fall to the ground.

She jumped up immediately and quickly surveyed her surroundings. There wasn't a destroyed desk to throw this time, but there was garbage, and that would have to do. She grabbed a few bags and hurled them at the ship. If they were going to escape, they were at least going to have an unpleasant time of washing their ship later. She found some stray hunks of scrap metal and lobbed those, too.

"Mal penal cobarde!" she shouted at the retreating ship. "Mara! Call Hero Factory, maybe they can catch them on the way out!"

IC: Mara Quiver - Watching Thumper Throw Trash Like An Animal

Quiver shook out of her train of thought. Some part of her was almost glad the villain was leaving; if they had caught, then they might have had to transport them back to Hero Factory, which meant Quiver would have had to sit in the same ship as them for the entire ride home. Not to say she didn't want them caught; she'd feel much, much better with them behind bars.

She called Hero Factory. Oh, she didn't like this part. Her stutter didn't make it easy to communicate important facts quickly. To make matters worse, it always got worse when she was stressed, and we was feeling the exact opposite of calm and collected right now. "Uh, th-this is K-Kuh-Quiver. S-Sorry, w-w-we were fighting a v-v-villain and th-they're flying away! I-I'm s-sending a p-p-puh-picture of the ship. They're... v-very dangerous."

IC: Alex Drift - Makuhero Belt?

"Alright everybody, I hope you've got your seatbelts in place 'cause we're coming into orbit in a few seconds," The ship began shaking as the gravitational pull of the asteroid below took hold. Drift threw the ship into a sharp descent and they began to move downwards through the upper layers of the atmosphere, Hero Factory's coordinates locked in on the nav-computer.

"Hang on," something wasn't right. "Is the Factory's shield up? We musta missed something, guys."

IC: Epix - Conference Hall (Ruins)

The fact that the Villain had never heard of him didn't come as much of a surprise, since most of his missions took place well out of view from the general public.

"Epix, head of Hero Factory's SIA Division, and hunter of Rogue Agents," he said simply without so much as a hint of emotion. "More commonly known as The Recall."

He then quickly flicked his wrist and twirled the weapon between his fingers before lowering it back towards the ground.

"And you are Kaiba Blader, Prototype Hero and the first ever to betray your initial programming. You should know that I have full authorisation to terminate you in the event you choose to resist apprehension."

IC: Scourge- The Scourgemobile

Scourge could tell by the sound of the handhold giving way that the hero had been successfully thrown off. With that last obstacle gone, it flew off, heading for the atmosphere. As it left, some of the bags of garbage that Thumper threw went a bit too close to the engines, and had their bags partially melted by the heat, sending bits of garbage falling back down to the streets. One in particular contained organic material, so the garbage that fell from it was on fire.

Despite it's escape, Scourge knew that the heroes were likely to inform their comrades of it's presence on the planet. Once it was out of the atmosphere, it would make sure to leave the Mekronite Belt as soon as possible.

OOC: Was looking on heropedia to find out what planet Mechron city is on, and apparently it's actually spelled "Mekron".

Villain Profile:
Name: Breaker

Powers, Abilities, & Weapons: Two hardlight swords, a depleted uranium mace, missile launchers, rapid fire plasma cannon, A prototype of the hero visors with access to the Hero Factory's network (He knows basic information about what the heroes are doing. During a mission, He knows their objectives and what they know.)

Appearance: http://imgur.com/a/2Un2V

Bio: Breaker was the first multi-core prototype hero, but was deemed too unstable to be a hero, and was held within the assembly tower (Mr. Makuro later came to regret that idea). During the events of Voltix's breakout, he equipped himself with as much prototype tech as he could find, as well as an extra pair of arms, heavier armor, and more cores to power it all, and escaped.

Location: Taking refuge underground.

Approved.

OOC: How is he "locking" that blade? With his own?

GM NPC FURNO & BREEZE

"Sure, I'll come along." said Furno. "It's not like I have anything better to do yet, so I might as well drive everyone. All aboard." He went back to the controls for the dropship.

Breeze followed him. "Let's go."
