IC: Var Vicious
Location: Duel of the Fates
Var backed out of the way of Gorn's slash, but felt a bullet from Jade lodge into their armour while two other bullets ricocheted off of it. And then they felt the gun itself hit them in the back. "Don't be fooled. My blade is not a trophy, it is an extension of my skill, of my physical prowess, of my very being. And of my anger!" Var used a force push to try throwing Gorn off balance before charging in for a vicious strike.

OOC: Toa Onaku, I do not see where, after leaping through the top of the ring of flames, that the damage I took (i.e. Loss of two arms and remaining armor), was unreasonable, under the reasoning that the top of a flame is significantly (by at least one order of magnitude) colder than the bottom, and will not edit my last post IC.

IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Duel of the Fates

"I'm fully aware of your anger. It appears that subtlety isn't something "the force" preaches."

Gorn was fully prepared for an attack, until he was pushed into a wall by some unseen force, momentarily disorientating him. He regained concentration just in time to see Var charging at him with his sword, prepared to strike. Gorn just barely was able to avoid being maimed, the weapon coming so close to his arm as he dodged to the side that he could feel the heat emanating from it's bright red blade. Instead of striking Gorn, the sword cut through the wall, burying the blade almost up to the hilt. Acting quickly, Gorn swung his blade downwards towards Var's wrists, still grasping the sword. Having to pull the blade out of the wall would likely slow down Var's reaction by at least a half second, giving Gorn an advantage.

OOC: Tbh, I was looking for an exit strategy because I didn't notice Onaku's post challenging Breaker, and figured I'd probably have to fight him off in order to exit. In any case, at this point, I'll probably have to fight my way out of the factory or to the assembly tower

IC: Jason Ferro- Magic Crystal room

Jason turned at the sound of Flood's voice, And approached the river where the generators sat. Both were enclosed in a force field, and looked as if they might be too big to get back to the surface. He would worry about that later. For now, the problem was getting them out of the force fields. Anchoring himself to the ground, Ferro attempted to pull one of the generators out of it's force field using magnetism.

Think you might have missed this, Fishers.

IC Max Vale:

Having been inexplicably evade several times by the strange, teleporting ship, Max was frustrated. His wing pack set to maximum, he flew for it once more, drill extended and drilling through the emptiness of space.

GM IC MAX VALE

Max Vale would find his attempt to break into the vessel to be successful. He would find himself in what looked like a giant beast's stomach, with acidic fluid and tentacles that would soon batter the ship about, moving him toward the back of the vessel.

Worse, he would notice that the acid in the area was starting to eat through the hull of his ship...

-----------------------------------------------------------

OOC: Alright, I'm just going to unleash this Kraggle.

GM IC HERO FACTORY/MAKUHERO CITY

It was in that crazy moment - that everything went dark. The brain master's ship vanished. Everything outside the Hero Factory was completely dark, outside the blue glow of the failsafe shield.

The characters in Mission control would be able to see this.

Out in Makuhero city, there was nothing but darkness, and the air pressure was increasing.

GM IC THE BRAIN MASTER

The brain master's ship was dark. There was no sign of any other ships. Pressure warnings and damage warnings sounded everywhere. The Brain Master fired his laser, only to find that he was hitting dirt. Earth.

Destroyers crawled, blasting lava to try to get the ship free.

"Analysis!" the brain master bellowed.

"The entire ship is encased in earth," the ship reported. It began to wriggle.

GM IC SHIPS (ABOVE MAKUHERO CITY)

Any ships close to Makuhero City and outside the asteroid's atmosphere would find themselves encased and enclosed in dirt and rock. However, a couple of ships would have something different...

Cor Solis, being inside Hero Factory's shield, would be unaffected.

The Kestral, was too far away to be encased. Instead, the pilots of that ship would be treated to something else - their ship was in an atmosphere, but not encased, with all the danger that might entail. If the Kestral had windows or camera, they would notice an entirely lush green planet behind them, right where Makuhero city was not five minutes ago.

OOC: ALL OTHER SHIPS' FATES WILL BE DECIDED BY THEIR OWNERS.

GM IC DFER & ??? (PLANET SURROUNDING MAKUHERO CITY)

Dfer lay exhausted at the bottom of a small room on the planet below. The pilot known as Hayley Gwet stood next to him. "Are you going to return me to my own timeline now?" she said to Dfer.

"Soon," said Dfer. "When I get my strength back, then we will both go home." He pushed his hand into a recharge station. Hayley started dragging him in to hook him up.

IC Max Vale:

The Hot headed pilot continued, pressed on at the successful hit. Aniki would become more resilient, even fighting back against the corrosive effects of the acid, as Max drilled right on through the other side of the wall, and into a relatively empty chamber.

"Alright, then, you metal scraps, let's see what I can do from in here....."

The ship was organic.... Max needed to find a neural bundle.

He started off down the chamber he was in, headed who knows where......

IC Jade:

There was really no warning, and time to react was almost negligible.

One moment, the Gunship was blasting through open space, the next, it was crashed nose first into..... well Jade wasn't quite sure. All she knew is that she was thrown hard against the console behind her from the sudden impact.

Wait.

Wait.

What?

"Tina, are you seeing this?" Focus asked, his previous thoughts forgotten entirely as he shifted the Kestrel to face this new planet. "That planet... what happened to Makuhero City? What happened to Hero Factory?"

IC: Sir Reginald Buckley - Old Timer.

And in the middle of his high speed maneuver, the ship suddenly came to a jarring halt. But while the ship stopped moving, Reginald himself did not, slamming bodily through the cockpit and into the earthen wall beyond it with enough force to crumple him like a soda can.

IC: Markus Vex - Hero Pod Bay.

He blinked slowly several times, trying to make sense of what the heck had just happened to him.

IC: The Caretaker - New Dawn.

"What just happened?" she breathed, rushing to the viewport. Still connected to the telepathic interface, she could sense the ship's confusion, and curiosity, and when she saw what had become of the asteroid, she found herself mirroring the vessel's emotions.

The New Dawn didn't need much convincing to cease its eating of the nearby asteroids, and instead drift closer and investigate the newly-formed planet.

OOC: I have some questions about what happened. So, a dirt shell has appeared around Hero Factory? It can't really be a planet, since in that case the planet (or the planet outside the Hero Factory's shield) would either be melted by the super hot core of the planet or, if the planet has no molten core (the description of the planet given suggests it would) then the immense gravity would absolutely crush them.

Additionally, depending on how far out those ships are, there wouldn't be dirt surrounding them but slightly cooler but still superhot substances. If we're assuming that the asteroid replaced all this stuff, this is going to- at the very, very least- become a dead, cold planet very quickly.

Please correct me if I'm wrong- my planetary science is relatively poor- but I just want to establish what exactly happened. And what we're meant to do about it, really. Is the Hero Factory coated to the shield, by the way?

Oh and I'll do some ICs soon, too.

OOC: It DID have a molten core a short while ago, but no longer does. And yes, that planet is dying, but that also has to do with swallowing and getting pounded by asteroids and SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS.

Really, I'm just giving the characters a minute to recover/react before throwing the next PLOT DEVELOPMENT out there.

(And no, it's not coated to the shield, just the asteroid's atmosphere. The air pressure is rapidly increasing, though, which is going to get dangerous fast.)

GM IC FRAVI (W/ MR. VYLE, TALKING TO DR. LIE, CAPTOR, CROWLEY VIA COMM)

"Holy Frapanoly," Fravi said. "Dr. Lie, could you escort our guests to the bridge? Bring your little dog too. You've got to see this."

The planet filled the screen, a serendipitous feed from the Kestral and a passing cargo ship that was supposed to be making a delivery to the city and...it wasn't happening.

The cargo ship's feed was more interesting, showing a red glowing thing sticking out of the back of the planet. It looked like molten lava, pooled in a giant lake.

OOC: Oh good! I remember reading that the animals from Brain Attack were actually native to the Makuhero asteroid and while that may not be the case (I haven't checked up on the fact so deffo don't quote me on that) I was a little concerned about accidentally killing all non-robot life on the planet.

Besides that, the life referenced to be on the planet would have died too, as all the heat provided by the core stuff would have been lost.

Thank you for answering!

~

IC: Ken Render - Mission Control

Render, seeing Stormer was all right and he would be of no use standing around, moved to a console to see what he could do about fixing it. He fiddled with the atmospheric sensor console in an attempt to get a reading from it.

The air was getting a little stuffy. That was worrying for a lot of reasons.

~

IC: Timothy Gyro - Hero Factory

Gyro thought he felt something about the air change, but all he could do was adjust his blades accordingly. He gave a frustrated grunt, trying to dissuade the creatures from approaching with his spinning blades without actually touching any of them. He tried to gauge if the roof was high enough to allow flying over them.

"Get back! You're invading my personal space here, fellas! Give a guy room!" He continued firing at them with his blaster.

~

IC: Mara Quiver - Secret Tunnel

She was quick, but not as fast as the other two, so she soon fell behind. She slowed a little, despairing, and then felt the familiar, comforting weight of her rifle. She fumbled it into the right position and, her vision almost clear, fired a single shot at the fleeing villain's foot. She wasn't as good at shooting while running, but hopefully it might throw the villain off-balance.

IC: Var Vicious
Location: Duel of the Fates
Var would surely have gotten their hands cut off, if the ship had not suddenly stopped, throwing them backwards, away from the strike. They looked up, and swiftly tore the lightsaber back to themselves with the force, before standing up and looking around themselves a bit confused. "What just happened?" They looked up at the hole in the roof of the ship... only to see dirt. "Did we just crash into the ground?" Var wondered out loud.

GM IC THE BRAIN MASTER

"Ship implosion in ten minutes," the ship informed him. "Also, we have hostiles on board." The ship indicated Max and his drill-ship thing.

"Chitin armor, and shift to beast form," the Brain Master ordered. The Destoyers and lasers had at least cleared enough space for that operation.

"Sir, that will delay implosion by about two minutes."

"Do it anyway."

The ship began to shift. The hallways became longer and narrower as the ship became more distended and grew dull claws. The form was designed for ship to ship battles, not its current use.

IC: Wilhelm Gorn- Duel of the Fates

Gorn was sure he was about to be victorious, when the ship unexpectedly seemed to crash, causing his opponent to fall out of the way of his sword, and Gorn himself to stumble backwards. Seeing the dirt through the hole in the roof, Gorn's immediate conclusion was that the ship had crashed into Makuhero city, but immediately realized that that was very unlikely.

"Makuhero city is completely mechanical, there's no way this much dirt would have gotten onto the ship if it crashed."

The whole time, Gorn's eyes never left Var, in case he decided to try something.

IC Wolfe [Mekron City Streets]:

He didn't like the sound of that. "Alright, let's go," he replied, not wasting time with questions. He excused himself from the firefighters and started back in the direction of the Police Station, all the while keeping an eye out for trouble. The two of them still hadn't caught their quarry, though it was entirely possible the guy was offworld by now. Next time, pal.

IC Helen [Mission Control]:

Her expression became more serious than usual at the mention of the infamous Von Nebula. The idea that this villain was still free, as well as continuing to torment Stormer, was troubling, to say the least.

Helen said nothing until the Alpha Team leader had been taken to the Quaza Chamber, then turned to Jimmy, intending to ask him what he saw. She wouldn't get the chance, however. What few computers were still intact were flashing warnings like crazy. She quickly cleared some debris from her work station and scanned her datapad. "Atmospheric pressure increasing," she informed anyone who was within earshot. "Something's wrong with the entire planetoid."

GM IC 78 EAST

The villain felt something attach to one of her hands even as something hit her foot. She sped up the arm with the cuff on it, making it go twice as fast as it normally would and then felt something hit her leg, causing pain to shoot up it.

She kept running. 50 yards...

GM IC TRAFEROUS

Traferous cursed and piloted the dropship toward 78, moving as about as fast as he dared, which wasn't really that fast.  He closed the distance at 35 MPH, grabbing his experiment's hand and pulling her on board.

Kavok Quake, he thought with absolute fury, deserved EVERYTHING he got. If I get back to Hero Factory one day, I will kill him myself.
