IC: Mr Vyle.

"That depends entirely on how you define good, or bad..." he replied with a shrug, "....regardless, it seems I was right. This ship and its contents are quite interesting. Which makes me wonder: what kind of person can afford to fund all of this? Who exactly is this mysterious "boss" of yours."

GM IC FRAVI

And straight to the point. "He doesn't tell me everything, you know. What I do know is that he got a lot of funds from sponsoring a villain Breakout from the Hero Factory. Some technology he had to activate the Von Nebula's orb staff - apparently this Black Phantom character wanted a that and a ship, so we got him that. He paid pretty steep and gave us the plans for the tower," She shrugged.

"He had money before that, though, obviously."

IC Striker:

He fired.

GM NPC KARTER'S ROBOTS

Most of the robots just stood there and took the shots without moving. A few fired laser blasts at Striker as they fell to the floor.

The rest of the civillians in the area fled.

GM IC GADGET

The quaza on top of the anti-quaza in front of him looked exactly like it was - there wasn't any technology there, just stone, energy, and rock.

The kryptonium blasters mounted on the walls, however, all had wireless transmitters embedded in them. If he could remove the transmitters from the blasters without setting them off, his work would likely be close to done.

Unfortunately, the villain in this town had come to class prepared. His technopathy would tell him that there was a wireless signal constantly going to these transmitters to keep the blasters from going off. The blasters were half-buried themselves in the rock, so removing them entirely might not be the best idea. He might be able to take apart the weapon to diffuse the kryptonium - his technopathy would show him the inside of it and how it was laid out.

IC: Gadget Thompson/The Bomb Room

"Yeah, speaking of the 'tech specialist,'" I said through the comms, "I really think said 'tech specialist' could use an extra hand-slash-guard."

I began to heavily focus my analytic technopathy on the kryptonian blasters to see the safest way to dismantle the wireless devices, and also I could find a way to have them fire manually. If Stringer was going anywhere after visiting me, he needed a way to defend himself.

OOC: On the assumption that the captured Heroes are unarmed,

IC: Gadget Thompson/The Bomb Room

I focused harder on the kryptonian guns.

IC Jade:

The Dropship touched down on the hospital roof, and the bay door opened, Furno and another Hero she didn't recognise off hand hopped out, and she peeled off before any of the towers could get a solid shot on her.

"This is Dropship 253, ready to provide pickup or air support, over."

IC Ezec:

There was a long, tense moment, before the hexagonal panels disappeared, and Ezec stood to his full height, towering over the heroes.

He stepped away from rocka, and began to move toward his Sister, who was sitting up, holding her head.

He was wary of all these heroes.

IC Striker: He easily side stepped the poorly aimed shots, and moved down the hall that Bulk had been led down.

IC Kaiba Blader:

In the deep reaches of Space, the Proto-Hero considered his next move.

GM IC GADGET

As Gadget looked into the Kryptonium blaster, he would notice two main components: a set of kyptonium ammo slices stacked inside, under pressure and held back by a set of springs, and an igniter that ignited the kyptonium before launch to set off the explosive properties of the substance.

The igniter was wired directly into the wireless chip mentioned previously. The wires were insulated well and screwed down with a metal plate, but those wires could probably be cut to remove some of the danger.

He would have to cut them in the right order, but he would know what that order was.

Still, smacking that energy collection behind him with inert kyptonium could ignite it anyway. It wasn't a sure shot like it was now, but it was a risk. Removing the springs in the front would likely do that. There were insulated wires leading to the propeller on the black, but the kryptonium itself was in the way of getting to them. Worse, these were wired that a loss of energy would fire the blasted thing.

The energy source of the blaster was a small thin quaza battery surrounding the kyrptonium chamber, surrounded by a case that was welded together.

GM IC FRAVI

"You seem to be skeptical," Fravi said. "We kept a log of our conversations with Black Phantom if you require proof."

NPC FURNO - HOSPITAL ROOF

Furno walked down the stairs off the roof to the third floor, after seeing the busted elevator shaft. "Well, it isn't every day I get my villains delivered to me all cuffed and ready." he said, looking at Arsenal.

He opened a channel to Jade. "Stand by, I've got two villains for transport."

OOC: Furno is in his Brain Attack form. Which is pretty big and intimidating - it's his XL form, in case you all forgot or never learned it in the first place.

Footsteps overhead; it seemed that reinforcements had arrived already. He made his way outside and flew up onto the roof, before making his way back down to the third floor to find Furno already there.

"Evening, sir," he said politely, approaching the other hero. He knew of Furno's reputation, and he seemed to be living up to it through sheer size alone, "Sorry that you missed the party."

"You hardly strike me as a Hero, though," Fravi said. "I never found one who could stand those brains for more than five minutes. You got some beef with them or something, or you're just a random stranger who enjoys chasing suspicious looking ships in the galaxy for fun?"

GM NPC EVIL BRAINS

By this point, the brains had found Fravi and Vyle's conversation to be utterly boring and about half of them had fallen asleep. One of them let off a playful snore.

GM NPC MEDICAL TEAM (W/ROCKA, SPLINT, JET)

The medical team rushed in with a stretcher to pull Rocka away for treatment. They ignored Ezec entirely.

The other Heroes in the other dropship walked up. "Who are you?" They asked Ezec. "Who is that guy?" They asked Splint and Jet.

IC: Mr Vyle - Ship.

"I'm a businessman," he explained, "I've spent enough time in the private sector to know all about the shady dealings that go on behind the scenes. But Hero Factory... they're far more corrupt than any organisation I've ever dealt with."

He gestured to the assembly tower replica, "I mean, think about it. Day after day they send their private army out across the galaxy, dispensing their own heavy-handed version of justice while completely disregarding the laws and regulations of whatever planet or station they happen to be on." His face twisted into a scowl, "My goal is to find others who share my hatred for the Factory and it's so-called "heroes", and ultimately, to destroy it."

This was...extremely well built. Looking at the device, he further scanned it to see if he could modify it so that it would be modular and usable in the hands of the hero coming his way. He needed this fast, or else he couldn't get to work. Well he could, but it wouldn't be done efficiently.

GM NPC CITIZENS AND ROBOTS (W/BULK)

The citizens hurried along, shoving Bulk up the ladder.

GM NPC STRINGER

Stringer followed Striker.

GM NPC KARTER

Karter finally woke up. Where am I?

GM NPC DUMACC

"Bring the Hero in for examination." Dumacc said. "I want him disassembled and torn limb from limb! Do it! And keep those pesky Heroes from entering the base!"

He growled and went to go find his cannons. Time to mow down some Heroes - or keep them from getting into the base.

NPC FURNO

Furno pulled out a set of Hero cuffs and slapped them on Arsenal. "Yeah, well, you get to serve for life."

He dragged the villain up on his massive shoulders, and pulled Karter to his feet with the other. "Jade, I need you to swing around in five, Furno out." Time to finish this mess. Then he nodded at Sarcen. "I'll put a commendation on your record for this one. Outstanding work here. Sorry for being abrupt, but it's all part of the job - just ask Stormer."

To modify the weapon to be modular, Gadget would first need to remove it from the wall, and then to rewire the igniter so that it attached not to the wireless device but to the trigger on the back of it. It would also help if the springs were unhooked from the wireless device so it didn't fire in response to said device and pose a safety hazard.

OOC:

Arsenal is missing an arm. How did Furno cuff him?

OOC: He put the cuffs on the one arm. Their power-draining ability is kinda what's on here. Edited by fishers64

OOC: It seems pretty obvious to me at this point that you don't actually understand what the word stun means, so, for future reference:

stun

  1. 1.
knock unconscious or into a semi-conscious state.

"I'm not sure I deserve one," he confessed, as Furno hoisted the unconscious villain over his shoulder and hauled the barely-conscious Karter to his feet, "Daxer was the one who finished off the big guy," he gestured to Daxer's lifeless form on the ground, "and he payed the ultimate price for it."

IC: Gadget Thompson/The Bomb Room

Excellent, since he had scanned enough he could do this more efficiently. He began to first remove the primary danger which came in the form of the wireless chip, which he took a screwdriver to take off the plate, and gingerly cut each wire in the correct order. He then took a laser cutter device and went to cutting the turret out from the wall, and aimed the thing towards the wall to avoid setting off the bomb. He unhooked the springs on the wireless device, and carefully removed it in general. He then went to chip and sand off the extra metal. He completed the transformation of one of the turrets, though it did take a total of an hour, just enough time for him to prep it to give to Stringer. He put it carefully on the ground away from the bomb, and definitely aimed in such a way so that it wouldn't ricochet into the bomb. He looked at the other turrets and sighed.

"One down, more to go."

He continued scanning to improve his knowledge on the weapon, so that he could work faster, as he began to repeat the process on the second turret.

GM IC FRAVI

"Personally, I find it annoying." Fravi said with a laugh. "Hero Factory might be a blaster in the back servos, but they are just one stupid company with bigger talk than actual action. A few lies told by them keeps the civillians happily sleeping in their beds at night, making it easier for us villiains to break in."

"Arming every planet? Talk about making things hard - you know how the civilians are. Eventually they will turn their weapons on us and blow us out of the sky, after all. They hate us more than they hate Hero Factory, and I'd sleep better knowing that I didn't have to risk annilation every time I wanted to visit a planet."

"But that's just my personal opinion. We would be happy to take you back to the galactic conspiracy's main base if you're so inclined, or if you have some plans to destroy Hero Factory, we may be able to entertain those as well."

Gadget heard Stringer walk in. Quickly he finished taking off the second turret and carefully placed it down.

"Glad to see you're okay. First..."
He scanned him for any external problems, and then for any internal issues. External problems Gadget could fix, the internal errors would probably be more of Jimmy's area, but Gadget could do the job too, but it would take a longer time, and he would need a computer of sorts.

GM NPC EVIL BRAINS

"We easily find master. Easier to show using map."

GM IC FRAVI

"If your plan is to succeed, I see that we have a lot of work to do," Fravi chuckled. "Right this way, we do have a map." She edged to the right, heading toward a room with multiple viewscreens.

Looking though the window into the room, Fravi could see several maps, charts, and camera screens. There was, as promised, a map of the galaxy, front and center. A chart of Karter's underground base was on one screen, as was a screen monitoring various locations around the base.

And to Fravi's left was a screen that stared straight into Gadget's hardworking face.

GM IC GADGET

Gadget's techopathy would immediately register that half of Jimmy Stringer's brain code was rewriting itself at a rapid rate. The source was immediately apparent - his core was filled with a chaotic mix of energy that was contradicting itself and affecting his neural impulses.

Worse, what was being shuffled was in the Hero's center of morality and behavior, dimming the Hero's sense of justice and heightening his more self-interested thoughts.
